"Well Mr. Mars, the song is great. In my opinion. But it's not up to me. It's up to the people"

I look at him. "What do you mean?"

The Vice President glares at me. "I'm not the one going to listen to your albums. The people are. If they like your singing, you got my deal, if not, you're out of a job."

I gulp. "But I don't know where I can sing publicly."

"You can sing at my school." Genie spoke up.

He lights another cigar. "Sounds promising. If you can get 90% of the schools population to applaud you, you got the offer."

I stand up and shook his hand. "You got yourself a deal"

-at the house-

"What do I do Genie?"

"Sing Just the Way you Are."

"I need more songs. Can you help me make more songs?"

Genie smiles. "Okay daddy"

She grabs a notebook and starts to write.

"You know I'll never try and break your heart.

I was just standing there.

Genie and I were still writing music. I was singing and she was telling me how high or low I needed to pitch my voice.

She's very helpful.

I heard her yawn. "Genie, go to sleep, it's late." She shook her head. "No daddy, I have no school tomorrow. I wanna keep helping you"

I make a face. "Genie, I'm a grown up. Grown ups don't need that much sleep. Princesses like you need your beauty sleep"

She pouts. "But"

"No buts Genevieve Hernandez. Go to bed."

"Pfff, fine daddy"

She gives me a kiss and walked to her room.

Now I'm stuck by myself, with tons and tons of paper.

*Im sorry I couldn't update Saturday. I have to much going on and on top of that, some family issues. But everything's okay now :)
