Monami and Karan finished cooking. Then danced on some romantic music, Monami teaching Karan some new moves and Karan learning like a good student. Monami darkened the room and created a candle light set up for the lunchtime. They cut the cake, had pasta. They walked a bit in the garden post lunch. They played a game of "truth and dare" giving each other naughty dares and knowing more about each other's life before they met.

Around 4 pm, Monami received a message. It's "time for your birthday gift" she said.

Monami stood up and asked Karan to get up. "This will need a more relaxed seating space, come" Monami dragged Karan to the sofa. Took off her stilletoes. And sat on the sofa cross legged. Karan lay down on the sofa and propped his head on Monami's lap, where she had kept a cushion.

Monami: "so this was originally part of the big party that we were throwing for you. But we cancelled the plan at that time and then when today morning you were feeling low, I decided to show you this. Now this is a raw footage as we got these clips in last few hours and there was not much time to edit etc. but Sid has still done some decent job, so here you go Special special agent Shergill"

Karan watched from Monami's lap as a woman came on screen. Monami said, "this is Mrs Dhar, you saved her son Manish held hostage by some terrorists in Kashmir in 2018." In the video, the lady thanked Karan and others in that team, showed Manish's pics holding trophies. Manish was a state topper and is now studying for IAS. She mentioned how Karan was always part of her prayers.

Next Mrs. Godbole blessed Karan and reminded how Karan had stepped into fire to save her daughter and 13 other children when her school caught fire because of some local riots. The daughter still sends raakhi for Karan every year to the local army office (Karan had no clue about this). The girl wants to be a doctor now and was studying.

Two more clips of parents who profusely blessed Karan for his selfless brave acts saving families, where children looked at community helpers like Karan as role models.

Last clip showed Mr. Dewan, his son was part of the group saved by Param and Karan Shergil in the fateful mission. His father described how his son was a spoilt teenager, but after that incident, he realised the value of life and sacrifice. The boy became serious about his studies and was now a businessman, one of his dream projects is to make the best bullet proof jackets for our army personnel. He blessed Karan and Param for being selfless, real heroes, and accepted how money can buy everything but a character like Karan's is what he wants his kids to aspire for.

By the time the clips ended, Karan was quiet, had a smile on his face and a Monami held his hands tight.
"My heart feels heavy" , Karan said.
"Emotions hain Karan, let them flow" Monami said calmly. She wiped the little tears that formed around Karan's eyes. Karan got up and sat next to Monami holding her hands.

Monami said, "Karan, you are an amazing man and clearly I am not the only one who feels that. You are the richest of all of us because you have these blessings and prayers you don't even know about."
She paused and continued "When I lost you in the bomb blast, neither my dad's money nor my medical skills could save you. What brought you back to me were these blessings. And this is what you bring to me and our future family. So next time my dad or someone else tries to evaluate you with money, please don't pay attention to it. You and I know what we have and what is important for us and that's all that matters, at least to me."

Karan turned to sit sideways on the sofa, continuous looking at Monami. Then slid his hands under Monami's thighs and legs , and picked her with ease and put her in his lap, her legs behind him. He held her face with both hands and says, "Monami, you call me amazing, and then why do I feel like the luckiest man in the world right now." He kissed Monami's mouth voraciously. Monami, who always went extra crazy and hot over Karan when he flexed his arm muscles and showed his muscular power, kissed back greedily.

When they broke the kiss, Karan said "I am loving each second of this day and the way you have been trying to lift me up, but ek din ke liye zyada sweet nahi ho gaya"
Monami responded seductively "Aap order dijiye agent Shergill , we can have a spicy serve next." And she went on to bite Karan's neck on the right side, while trying to open his shirt buttons with her left hand. Karan's hands were all over Monami's thighs and hips, as her mini dress had ridden up her legs when Karan had pulled her on his lap.

Just then there was a jangling of keys and some noise at the door. It took some seconds for Karan to realise and just when he was trying to pull himself back, Bhabhi and Baby entered the house, bhabhi almost catching Monami on Karan's lap, trying to pull her dress down as she stood up. Baby screamed "Happy birthday Chachu" and ran towards MoRan.

Karan and Monami gave each other an embarrassed look while still adjusting their clothes. Bhabhi who realised the awkwardness, made an excuse "Main bag andar rakh ke aati hoon" to give them some time to adjust. As BaBy hugged Karan, he mouthed "I am really sorry" to Monami who looked very shaken and embarrassed. Monami said "I will get water for Bhabhi" and she went into the kitchen. Karan followed her. "Monami, I am really sorry, I had no idea..."
Monami's heart was still beating very fast, she exhaled and said "It's okay Karan, Go to baby, she is excited to meet you." Karan checked "Are you okay Monami?"

Bhabhi came in the kitchen so Karan stepped out as he was feeling embarrassed too. Bhabhi immediately started apologising profusely to Monami. "Monami I am really sorry. Mujhe strike hi nahi kiya ki tum dono yahan ho sakte ho, I should have informed earlier. I didn't mean to disturb you two, really". Monami tried to calm her down, "Bhabhi please, aap kyun sorry bol rahe ho. Ye aapka ghar hai. Hum bina aapki permission ke yahan the and we should have asked you first. Aap please sorry mat boliye. Mujhe bohot guilty feel ho raha hai." Bhabhi stopped her, "Ye Karan ka bhi ghar hai, to tum dono ko meri permission ki zaroorat nahi hai. But mujhe sochna chahiye tha ki ... oh Monami .. I feel so horrible that I spoiled your private moment." "Chhodiye na bhabhi , aap bataiye aapki journey kaisi rahi...actually aap chaliye main coffee bana ke laati hoon phir baat karte hain"

Bhabhi went out and apologised to Karan too. "I am really sorry Karan. Tujhe bday surprise dene ke chakkar mein tum dono ki shaam spoil kar di, iss tarah tumhara private moment disrupt kar diya." Karan clarified, "Disturb? nahi bhabhi , hum to bas TV dekh rahe the" Bhabhi was surprised at Karan's bluff, "Achcha, tv dekhte hue neck pe machchar ne kaat liya shaayad." Karan checked in his phone camera to find a hickey. "Moti si machchar lag rahi hai", Karan laughed, trying to normalise the awkward situation.

Bhabhi said "Tujhe hasi aa rahi hai, I am so worried Monami kya soch rahi hogi".

Karan looked at Monami who was cutting some cake slices. "Bhabhi, Itna yakeen se keh sakta hoon Monami is baat ko le ke kabhi aapke against kuch nahi bolegi, aur na hi sochegi."

"Hmmm... baby aapke chachu, chachi ke maamle mein kaafi lucky nikle na" Bhabhi teased Karan.

Monami came out of the kitchen carrying a tray of coffee and cake slices.
"Haan Chachi kafi hot hain na chachu" Baby said.
"Aur sanskaari bhi. Dekho abhi shaadi bhi nahi hui, phir bhi kitchen mein wo kaam kar rahi hai and sasural wale yahan gappein laga rahe hain" Bhabhi teased Monami and she blushed.
"Kuch nahi bhabhi , chori pakdi gayi hai na aapke saamne, to aap naaraaz na ho uske liye makkhan lagaya ja raha hai." Karan joined in to tease Monami.
Monami gave an angry stare to Karan who was laughing. 

"Bhabhi ye cake taste kijiye na , maine banaya . Sorry if we knew aap aa rahe hain to we would have waited to cut the cake with you" Monami served them. She pulled aside Karan who was still laughing at her embarrassment. "Bohot hasi aa rahi hai na. Socho agar yahan ki jagah hum mere ghar pe hote and mere dad humein aise aa jate to tumhari kya halat hoti" Monami asked Karan. Karan replied , "meri hi gun se mujhe goli maarte wo but don't worry, unka nishana pakka kharab hoga - sahi dikhta kahan hain unko" Karan was still laughing. "And unke ghar mein main tumhe shaadi ke baad bhi haath nahi lagaunga. Unki jurisdiction mein itna comfortable main shaayad hi ho payunga."

Monami sighed "Karan mujhe stress ho raha hai. We have to be careful. Imagine bhabhi 15 minute ke baad aati to him kis situation mein ho sakte the. Mujhe imagine kar ke hi anxiety ho rahi hai. We should wait till our wedding. Sab itna achcha chal raha hai. Main kuch spoil nahi karna chahti"
"Okay Monami madam. I will do whatever you wish. But on one condition.", Karan said. Monami raised her eyebrows, wondering "what?" Karan said slowly (taking pauses)" I DARE you..... cadet Monami Mahajan... I dare you  to describe to me.... in detail...... in good detail.....how exactly ... did you picture us ......when/if bhabhi came after 15 minutes"

As Monami processed what Karan said, Bhabhi called out. "Arrey tum dono bhi aao na. Coffee thandi ho rahi hai." Baby told Monami she had some plans for Karan's birthday. She wanted to float sky lanterns and she wanted to eat burgers. Monami said she loved her plans and they were perfect. Baby also gave a gift to Karan - a treasure box. She said now that he has a girl friend, he should make sure to save their memories in the box and then hide it in the garden and their children can find it after 100 years and enjoy it. They all had a great laugh. Monami was so happy to see Karan laughing from all his heart.

When they went to float sky lanterns, Monami thanked god and did a quick prayer for his and this family's happiness to stay the same always. Karan hugged the three most important women in his life and  felt happiest.

They made and ate burgers, exchanged hugs and MoRan left for the academy. On the way back, Karan held Monami's hand , thanked her for the wholesome day, "a glimpse of their future" that he couldn't wait to start. He also reminded her that she hasn't completed his DARE but Monami ignored that part. She was just happy that Karan's birthday went well and he was genuinely happy.

As MoRan stepped into the academy hall, there was still a buzz with a few people roaming around. As they said formal "good night" to each other and turned around, Monami called out "Special Agent Shergill!"
Karan turned back. She said loudly, "to answer your question"... Monami stepped near Karan who kept a professional stance in front of other people, she whispered - "I pictured us on the floor in front of sofa.... Naked... without any sheets this time.... you were on top of me... and your hands were on my breasts... as we kissed". She stepped back and said loudly again "I hope that answers your question, Sir". She kept her face expressionless but her eyes were playing a seductive game.

Karan was out of words, he swallowed hard, could only  nod and say a feeble "Yes, good night" as he turned back, blushing so hard as he walked to his room, his face had a big smile thinking about his Monami - his crazy but perfect girl.

Monami also had a naughty smile, almost proud of how she teased Karan. They didn't cross the line as per plan today but they definitely crossed many little lines of awkwardness between them today.
