💥Sparks

Rolling out of bed, you shuffled out of your room in your fluffy bunny slippers and (Fav Anime) pajamas clinging onto your shower bag. Rubbing your eyes, you barely had enough time to stifle a yawn before you were ambushed by your very pink friend.

"Good morning, (Y/N)!" Mina shouted wrapping her arm around you. You winced from the sudden high pitched sound of her voice. "Whoa. You don't look too good. Not a morning person, huh?"

You shot her a tried glare and continued to trudge towards the shower room removing Mina's arm from around you. "Mornin'. And yeah I guess you can say that." You definitely wanted to regret staying up so late last night, but how could you. Especially when you had such a good moment with...

"Oof!" You squeaked as you bumped into someone causing you to stumble and fall right on your behind with an audible thud.

"Hey! Watch where you're going, Dumb...oh."

You let out a small groan and met your head with your hand. The lack of sleep was definitely getting to you. But you really didn't know why. You would usually feel tired when you over used your strength, but lately you've been feeing a bit weaker.

"Tch."

You slowly glanced up to see who you bumped into only to see Katsuki, of course, offering his hand for help. You stared at his hand for a second and then observed his appearance. For someone who stayed up as late as you did, he didn't look like he missed a wink of sleep! Suddenly you felt super insecure about your own appearance.

"Are you going to get up or what?" He muttered to you emphasizing his hand for you to grab. You slightly shook your head to get you out of your gaze and met his palm with your own.

And as soon as your hands touched, there was a spark. Literally.

"Ah!" You yelped retracting your hand away as soon as you stood up. Your widened eyes met with Katsuki's to see that his red rubies matched yours. He shook out of his surprise quickly however and turned to walk away from you.

"I'll ask Aizawa if we can use the gym after school to teach you how to control that. Be more careful, Idiot." He insisted not looking at you again.

'So it's not just anger that makes this quirk act up, it's being flustered too, huh. Of course...not that I'm flustered or anything...' You thought to yourself rolling your eyes as you watched Katsuki fade out of the hallway.

"What was that?" Mina asked having witnessed the ordeal.

"It's nothing."

While Bakugo walked away his mind began to wander. Even though you felt insecure about the way you looked that morning, the moment he saw you he had to hide his very subtle blush. Seeing your (H/C) stray hairs fall from your face while the rest of your hair was wrapped up into a messy bun. Your adorable sleepy expression. And you in your oversized pajamas! You looked so warm and cozy. And he was a bit surprised that you liked (favorite anime) too. It was also his favorite. He made a mental note to ask you who your favorite character was and why....

But what was he doing? He wasn't here for that. You were nothing but...a distraction. Right? He had to focus. He is going to be at the top. No one will get in his way, that's for sure....

So why did he feel like he wanted to help you....

He almost wanted you to be at the top with him. He saw your potential. But he also saw your obstacles. He wasn't sure how he felt about you having his quirk, but he wasn't really mad about it. If anything, it was actually kind of cool that you could do that. He wondered if you could use other people's quirk too. But that'd be impossible to find out unless you had the blood of someone.

He scrunched up his face in frustration and balled up his fist. "Stop. She's just a distraction. Nothing more."

While Katsuki drowned in denial, you finally made it to the bathroom. Glancing down at your palm, there was a small scorch mark where the spark ignited when the two of you touched. Thankfully it wasn't too bad, but you did have to change your bandages.

You started the shower and waited for the water to get hot. You began setting up your shampoo and soaps to wash off all that sleep you didn't get.

"Why would he have to teach me how to control it? It should go away soon right? Since his blood will eventually be out of my system. Maybe he forgot about that," you reasoned, talking to yourself. It was a weird habit you always caught yourself doing.

After you showered up, you went into the common area for breakfast and to head to class with your classmates.

"Hey! Who ate all my cookies?!" Kaminari shouted from the kitchen in a whine.

Oop...that's my que to leave!

"(Y/N), you should really start making a costume design. A few of the other students are upgrading their own and you're still in the gym uniform," Mr. Aizawa said as he lead you and the class to Gym Gamma.

"Uh..I kind of like the gym uniform. Kind of suits me, you know," You dodged. But you weren't fooling him. He knew you too well. He'd been training with you since you transformed to help you control and use your powers for good. But he always knew you still felt like you couldn't do it.

"You're going to be hero, (Y/N). It doesn't matter what kind of power you have. What you do with that power is what matters. I know you don't think so, especially with the recent events. But you need to change your mindset before you drift too far," Aizawa lectured while the two of you walked ahead of the class for some privacy. These are words you've heard from him before. But each time you hear them, they have the same effect.

"You're right, Mr. A. I'm sorry. I need to get my head back in the game," You reassured him and yourself. He was right. You were noticeably losing yourself from what happened. And you were letting it get in the way of your goals.

"It's okay. Sometimes we all need a little push to keep going. Besides if you believed any different then that would be an insult to your teacher," he said in a monotone voice. You couldn't tell if it was his attempt at a joke or not.

"Of course. I'll do better," You responded with a bright smile and a thumbs up.

Your smile always warmed Mr. Aizawa's heart. You deserved so much more in life than what you received. He always felt for you a little more than the other students. With good reason.

'I will not fail you again, (Y/N). I promise. You will become a fine hero.' He thought to himself as he watched you skip into the gym, joining your classmates.

Wide eyed students took in the empty space and were met with other teachers as well. Today you were to work on ultimate moves.

How fun.

How on earth am I going to work on an ultimate move with all these vampire powers. There's no way without looking suspicious! Miss Midnight said these moves are supposed to represent us as a hero. All my moves represent a blood sucking vampire!

As Cementos built these cement boulders for quirk training, you stood there watching your classmates' excitement over showing off their ideas. You couldn't help but panic a little.

You glanced over to Katsuki who seemed to already have several ideas in mind. Showing off multiple blasts and jumps. You were a little jealous. Kirishima too even seemed to know what he was doing. Everyone was so eager, yet you felt a little anxious about this. Even if you wanted to be a hero, you still couldn't expose yourself without people being afraid of you.

All of a sudden you felt a sudden nudge.

"You too? I thought Midoriya was the only one staring off into space. Why are you?" Ectoplasm asked firmly causing you to tense up.

"Uh, I just don't have many ideas, I guess," I sheepishly grinned rubbing my arms nervously. For someone who's supposed to be cold blooded, you started to feel a bit feverish.

"Well let's fight, maybe we can find one when you're pushed to your limit," He suggested throwing the first hit with no warning causing you to stumble back. You really weren't expecting that reaction.

"Hey! I wasn't ready!"

"You think villains are going to wait for you to be ready? Show me what you got," He instructed throwing another swing at a fast pace.

You gritted your teeth in frustration as his hit landed. He was holding back, you could tell. But still, it caused you to fall back. You stood up and dusted yourself off. You were never one to back down from a fight.

Fine, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you're going to get!

Ectoplasm was only trying to push you to help you find a finishing move. That's why he was there. But you seemed more driven for something else. It's as if you were projecting all of your anger and stress onto him. So he didn't let up. For your sake. The two of you began sparring so hard it caught the attention of the other students. Not that you had noticed. You were too busy dodging hits. Feeling a sudden rush of adrenaline when he began cloning himself around you. What also caught the students attention was the fact that Ectoplasm's clones that were helping the other classmates had disappeared so that he could focus solely on you. You must have been giving him a hard time with your speed.

"Wow, she's so fast. She might be quicker than you, Ida," Midoriya commented watching you in awe.

"It's amazing. She's not even breaking a sweat! She just keeps going," Kirishima added.

You began quickly taking out every clone with your strength and speed. It seemed like an easy win, until Ectoplasm quickly disappeared and hid behind one of the walls.

"Oh, so now you're running? You were the one who wanted to fight!" You shouted into the gym trying to find him. Hopping off the dangerously high boulder with such ease. You let out a small chuckle, feeling a bit too confident. It wasn't like you, but something seemed to be taking over you. You had this new found anger and confidence all of a sudden.

Katsuki stood with his classmates with his arms crossed. He recognized that smirk laying effortlessly on your face. He'd only seen it on you once before. And it was right before you bit him. He narrowed his eyes in suspicion. What's going on with you, (Y/N)?

You heard subtle movements but couldn't tell where they were coming from. Feeling impatient you began speeding through the spaces between each boulder to find him. You weren't quiet or cautious however, and you weren't paying attention.

"We'll call this a win for me then I gu..." You started before a clone landed on you harshly pinning you to the ground.

"You got cocky. That's why you fail," He simply said as if it wasn't a bother at all. This just added fuel to fire that was igniting from within you. It was as if you were overheating. Literally.

Within seconds your hands began smoking without your knowledge. You jaw was clenched and the look in your eye was deadly. And only two people who knew of your newfound power noticed.

"(Y/N), DON'T!" Katsuki and Aizawa shouted running after you and Ectoplasm. Aizawa tried to erase your 'power' but to no avail. His quirk didn't work on your kind.

A blinding light flashed throughout the gym and a long, high pitched beep was all you could hear. You lied there coughing from the black smoke that was filling your body.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N)! Where are you? Can you hear me?" Katsuki ran through the black smoke frantically looking for you. There was so much of it, no one could see a thing. The fire alarm rang and the sprinklers set off inside, extinguishing any fire that was surrounding the area. The rest of the students were huddled by the front door blocking their faces and slowly peeking out in shock to see if it was okay.

What happened?

You sat up slowly to find Mr. Aizawa by your side. The high pitched noise rang through your head, blocking out almost everything every one was saying. You looked at your trembling hands to see them covered in black blood, with fingers almost blown off. And it actually felt painful. Incredibly painful.

Not from your hands, which were incredibly injured, but from your chest.

You grabbed your shirt with your injured hand and cried out in pain.

"What's wrong? Is it your chest? Talk to me, (Y/N)!" Your teacher asked panicked. He didn't understand what was going on with you. Neither did you.

"What's happening?! We need to get her to the hospital! Why is she clutching her chest like that!" Katsuki asked in his normal rough voice. However, you could hear the worry hidden in it. "You dumbass! I told you not to do that!"

"It hurts! Why is it hurting?" You choked out squeezing your eyes shut, bringing your knees to your chest. It felt as if something in your chest was trying to claw it's way out.

"Midnight! Take the students back to the classroom! I'm going to take (Y/N) to the nurse," Mr. Aizawa instructed. Before he could help you up, Katsuki quickly carried you in his arms bridal style.

"I'll help you take her," He blurted out without thinking. Aizawa raised his brow at him but seeing you cry in pain, he didn't question it.

Katsuki practically sprinted to recovery girls office, not attempting to mask his worry for a moment. You nuzzled your face into his shoulder, still clutching onto your chest. You had no idea what this pain was and where it's coming from. It all happened so fast. And the explosion? Was everyone okay? Katsuki glanced down at you for a second and continued running. He felt shocked. Your body was extremely warm. A little too warm for comfort. Not anything he wasn't used to, but for sure not something you were used to. How is this possible?

Aizawa ran aside the two of you and rushed ahead to open the door.

"Get her to the office now. We don't know what this is and it could be the vampire instincts kicking in again. We don't want to risk her outing herself," he instructed Katsuki and he ran ahead and barged into Recovery Girl's office.

"Whoa, what's going on here?" She asked in a calm worry.

"I don't know, she caused an explosion and then she started screaming that her chest was hurting.

"AHHH GET OFF OF ME!" You screamed once again kicking out of Katsuki's hold as he tried to set you down on the bed. You brought your knees to you once again and hid your face. You were out of control, the pain was getting to you and you had exposed your fangs. You didn't want anyone to see them. This wasn't a vampire instinct or whatever. This was something different and it hurt.

"(Y/N), darling, I'm going to take your temperature, Okay? I don't want to startle you," She soothed as she slowly came near you. Mr. Aizawa came in shortly and waited to see what the nurse said as you slowly lifted your head and let her put the thermometer in your mouth.

When you opened them, everyone in the room gasped slightly at the sight of your fangs. They were more worried than afraid, but you didn't know that. You snapped your mouth closed and hid your face once again. Trying to conceal another cry as your chest felt as if it was on fire now.

"Oh dear, you are burning up!" Recovery girl exclaimed.

"But...how? I'm...that's not....right," you stuttered through the pain.

"I'm not sure dear. It is strange, but I'm not an expert on Vampires," she said. You actually weren't aware that she knew what you were. Does everyone on staff know? Now was not the time for questions though. Even though you had so many.

She made an attempt to heal your hands and it worked. But whatever was causing the pain on your chest was still here.

"Why isn't your healing power taking over?" Katsuki asked in almost a whisper. Which was odd for him.

"If...I knew...I'd say something....duh," You said attempting a small laugh, but quickly regretted it.

"Bakugo, go ahead and go back to class. I'm going to call her brother to come pick her up," He said taking out his phone.

"O...Okay," He replied not really wanting to go, but also not wanting to make it obvious that he was worried. Even though he had already made that pretty clear even if he didn't want to admit it. He began walking out the door when you stopped him.

"No...can...ow..." you groaned trying to finish your sentence. "Can he...stay...please?" You pleaded with your teacher. There was something about having Katsuki around that just felt comfortable to you. And you were freaking out right now. You had no idea what was going on with you. And the people around you didn't have that much experience with vampires. If anything you could be dying and no one would know!

"Sure. I'm going to call Kai, okay? See if he knows anything about this," Mr. Aizawa informed stepping outside.

Katsuki was a little surprised you asked for him to stay. But he didn't question it. He just sat down in the chair next to you while you focused on trying to breath to try to calm yourself down. Suddenly it felt like you needed to breath because the pain began to calm once you started to take deep breaths.

"Did you forget to hunt again?" He asked lowly. You couldn't tell if he was irritated or not. But you didn't have the strength to answer so you just shook your head. Your eyes were growing heavy and you attempted to keep them open.

"That's...not what...this is. I don't know..what is going on," you said feeling a sudden wave of exhaustion. You knew what starvation felt like and although that was painful on it's own, this was a different kind of pain.

Even though you were burning hot and used to being cold, you began shivering uncontrollably. You hadn't been sick since you transformed. But was that all this was?

Katsuki rolled his eyes in frustration. "Can you get her a blanket or something? She's obviously cold," he asked Recovery girl who ignored his rude tone.

"That would do no good. We have to bring her temperature down, not up," she explained kindly. You nodded, teeth chattering, and wrapped your arms around your body to try to warm yourself up. This was so frustrating. You hadn't felt this ill since you were a little girl.

"Ha...mm..maybe I'm malfunctioning or something..." you joked squeezing your arms to try to stop the shivers.

"You don't know anyone who would know what this is?" Katsuki questioned you.

You shook your head and then had a sudden thought. A while back you remember your brother mentioning something about know someone who knows more about vampires. So if anything maybe Kai could help. You shrugged it off and told yourself to think about that later. Right now you just wanted to calm down.

"Hey, you're dozing off. Why don't you just go to sleep until your brother gets here," Katsuki suggested seeing you fight it from the shakes.

"I would, but I can't stop shaking!" You said in frustration, gritted down your chattering teeth.

Katsuki let out a small sigh and felt the urge to hold your hand. He wasn't sure why but he just wanted to show you some kind of comfort.

But there was no way he was just going to grab your hand out of no where. So he opted in putting his hand on your arm.

As soon as he did, the warmth radiating off of him stopped your shakes. You melted into that very small touch and dozed off quickly without another word.

'That was weird....'

It happened so instantly. They way you eased at his touch. Why? Katsuki's thoughts raced until he shook his head to stop. He watched you in your calm, relaxed state and a small rose dusted his cheeks before he could stop it. He let out a soft grunt, annoyed with himself.

'There's no way I'm falling for you...'
