Today was just another day, pedestrians on their way to work while I walked around trying to find my way to a place that sold half-decent coffee. Nobody ever bumped into me, for some strange reason, but I guess that's just how Castelia City functions.

Today was a gloomy day, but I was okay with that. Whatever kind of weather was nice for me these days, well, except for meteors falling from the sky that are about to destroy the world or the end of the world.

Anyways, I was walking along the street when I saw the coffee shop. I walked through the doors and ordered a cup. The tables were somewhat empty so I could probably sit here for some time until it got crowded, then I would have to get out.

Two more people walked in, a boy who was about 14 or 15 with messy brown hair and another guy with a black and white cap over a green ponytail. The one with the green hair was somewhat cute, I will admit, but that wasn't my focus. It was how they talked to each other, how they held hands and chose to sit at the same table. I didn't expect couples like this, two boys in love, but it seemed almost familiar yet completely foreign at the same time.

I tried forcing myself to stop staring. A wanted criminal doesn't care about love, right? But I couldn't help wandering how they could hold hands under the table, or how they could even avoid arguing over who would go up and get their drinks from the counter. It just seemed perfect. How could such perfection be achieved outside of the Reverse World?

"Hey, you could sit with us." I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice the brown-haired one walk over to my table. I guess he was trying to be polite, but it seemed so strange. Was this a trick to get me arrested? Or was it simply out of the kindness of his heart? I decided to go with the second one.

"Sure," I replied. Being overly careful, I picked up the cup holding my coffee and sat down beside them. It couldn't hurt to be a bit friendly.

"So, this is N, and my name's Hilbert!" The brown-haired one said, "Who are you?"

"Umm..." I wasn't sure if I should give them my name or not. Would they know who I am? Or has Unova not yet gotten the news? "I'm Zero." I decided I could trust them for the current time. After all, if they were going to turn me in, they would've done it while I was sitting down, right?

N finally spoke. "Like the number?" He smiled at me. For some reason, his smile seemed to make me feel happy.

"Um, I guess." I said, "I don't really remember my parents." That was once again true.

Hilbert and N looked at each other. Could they communicate telepathically or something like that? I couldn't tell.

"We don't really talk about that kind of stuff," Hilbert said, "It's kind of a tough topic... Especially for N."

"Oh, I see." It was kind of an odd coincidence that we met here. A guy named after a number meeting a guy who liked math and his boyfriend. We talked for a little bit, mainly avoiding subjects like family or Pokemon (You only attack one Giratina...).

"I've got an idea! Let's show off our Pokemon! Who should go first, N?" Hilbert said.

N agreed, "That would be fun. Hilbert can go first."

Hilbert took out a Poke Ball and threw it into the air. A large ferocious looking black dragon took up half of the space in the coffee-house.

N smiled at the dark Pokemon. "You only kept Zekrom? What about Samurott?"

"Samurott is training with Cheren." Hilbert said, "I think he might have been a bit jealous of how powerful Serperior is."

N stared at Zekrom. "Zekrom says that it really enjoys traveling with you and that it's really enjoying Castelia."

Hilbert laughed and the patted Zekrom on the knee? leg? I seriously have no idea what the anatomy of a Zekrom even is. He returned the dragon Pokemon and told me it was my turn.

I followed Hilbert's fashion and released the six Unova Pokemon that accompanied me on my journeys, Liepard, Escavalier, Galvantula, Zebstrika, and Ninetales. They were all sort of a 'family' to me and I didn't battle unless necessary.

"That's quite a collection you have there," Hilbert said with a smile. He leaned down to pet Liepard's fur. The purple cat purred loudly and pushed up against his leg.

"They all seem to like you," N said, "They keep on telling me that you're a good person and they'll fight anyone, even the law itself, to keep you out of-" He suddenly got quiet.

They know, I thought to myself, Now N's gonna drag me to the police, steal my Pokemon, and gladly give them to Hilbert as a present. But he didn't. He just looked at me a oddly like I was some foreign species.

"What was that, N?" Hilbert looked at N as if he were worried.

"Nothing," N said, trying to keep a straight face, "Liepard just said something that I don't want to repeat."

I guess my secret's safe with N.

5 months later...

  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ninetales, use Fire Blast!" I commanded. Ninetales launched herself forward at the unsuspecting opponent and sent out a blast of fire shaped like the 大  symbol.

The opposing Arcanine leaped out of the way, barely getting singed by the flames. The Pokemon's trainer commanded it to use Wild Charge. The Arcanine ran towards Ninetales, tucking in its' legs and sending off sparks.

"Dodge it, Ninetales!" I tried yelling at the fire fox, but Arcanine was simply too fast. The impact sent Ninetales flying into a nearby rock, knocking out my closest friend instantly. "Ninetales!" I ran towards my fallen comrade, she was barely breathing when I reached her side. I pulled out one of the revives I kept in my bag, momentarily turning away from the Arcanine's trainer, who was busily cuddling the so-called Legendary Pokemon. "You deserve a rest, Ninetales." I said to her, pulling out the black Luxury Ball she stayed in when I wasn't battling. I returned my battered Pokemon and pulled out some Pokédollar to pay my challenger, but when I turned to face him,he had a set of handcuffs out.

"You're under arrest for crimes against Pokemon," The challenger said, "Since you've lost your battles you'll be forced to some quietly." His Arcanine growled at me.

"I still have Pokemon left to battle you," I said with a sneer, "About five more, in fact. I demand another round!"

"Alright then," The challenger seemed to smirk as he threw his next Poke Ball. A large black creature appeared before me, one I recognized all to well.

"Z-Z-Zekrom?" I stuttered hopelessly. I only knew one person with a Zekrom. Hoping I was wrong, I threw in a Pokemon I usually didn't battle with or even show off. A creature the rest of the world thought was impossible to tame, but somehow with a lot of hours (And maybe a rigged Master Ball, some pancakes, lots of YouTube, and a couple of bribes) I had done the impossible. "Go for it, Shadow!" My beautiful (Well, maybe not as beautiful as Giratina,) Shadow Ho-Oh shimmered into existence, it's dark blue and aqua feathers seemingly draining the light from it's surroundings.

"Zekrom, Bolt Strike!" My opponent commanded. The black dragon wreathed itself in electricity and flew towards my Pokemon.

"Shadow, Fly!" I commanded the Shadow Pokemon. It whipped out of the way, leaving Zekrom to smash into a rock.

Shadow Ho-Oh, expecting it's prey to be standing in another location, hit the ground head-on.

"Guess it's a tie," I said, returning my battered and bruised Pokemon. Shadow was a good Pokemon at heart, but it always hated losing and could sometimes be a bit rash.

"Yeah, that means you have to surrender," The challenger said, returning his Zekrom, "As champion of Unova, I am charged with bringing all criminals to justice, not that I enjoy it."

"Hilbert?" I said. It was an instinctive reaction. Whenever I heard the champion mentioned I knew who it was and mentioned his name.

The champion leaped back, as if he had been stung by a Beedrill. "Zero?" He said, hesitantly.

I nodded to him. "I guess you finally know. N heard Liepard say it, but he didn't tell because we're... Friends." The word seemed so strange to me, so foreign. N seemed to be a real friend outside of the Pokemon I cared so much for, and so did Hilbert. "Truce?" I offered my hand to him. as a gesture of friendship.

"Truce." He agreed.

A/N: Aww, lots of cute OT3 Fluff! Anyways, did any of you get the Shadow Ho-Oh reference? I was kind of leaning towards giving Zero a Shadow Pokemon (Maybe because I've been watching to much Alpha Sapphire Extreme Randomizer Nuzlocke, who knows?) but actually having him capture it during the storyline, but I like this better, more fluff.

I included the source of the Shadow Ho-Oh found in this story in the media (Alpha Sapphire Extreme Randomizer Nuzlocke episode 26: SHADOW HO-OH!!!!!!) GAH NOT LOADING

Thanks for reading!
