DAE-SU HAD FINALLY come out of the 'bathroom', Joon-yeong sighing in relief. Joon-yeong quickly rushed in to the recording room and Dae-su began to walk towards the group, all of them sitting by the window. Ji-a scrunched her face up at a foul smell, almost gagging. She looked around to see if anybody else smelt it; and thankfully, she wasn't the only one. She was leaning against the bookshelf with Chae-sol laying peacefully in her lap for a while now, the young girl not moving a muscle until now.

"What the fuck is that smell?" Chae-sol shot up from Ji-a's lap, clasping her hand around her mouth. "Kang Chae-sol!" Ji-a gasped at the way the girl brutally swore. Everyone was looking at Dae-su, beginning to voice their complaints. "Shit! Why don't you just stay inside?" Su-hyeok held his nose. Ji-min groaned in disgust. "Does it smell?" Dae-su asked innocently. "Yes! It does fucking smell!" Ji-a whined, lifting her uniform sweater to cover her nose.

Suddenly, Joon-yeong ran out of the room, slamming the door shut as he gasped. "Shit," he mumbled, running over to the window. "It doesn't smell that bad. Stop being dramatic," Dae-su muttered in annoyance as he sat next to Hyo-ryung. "Sit somewhere else," Hyo-ryung pushed his shoulder. "Dae-su, that's seriously a problem—" Ji-a began before gagging. "You need to get yourself checked out."

Before Dae-su could respond, Nam-ra spoke up. "There's nobody there," she blurted, staring out the window. "There are no lights on in the stores or apartments out there. They all ran away or died," she elaborated, crossing her arms. "What do you mean by that?" On-jo questioned. "No one's coming here to save us," she responded. "Why do you have to be so pessimistic?" Joon-yeong asked. "Don't you know my mom? She would've torn the school apart looking for me, but she isn't here yet," Nam-ra looked over at Joon-yeong.

"So, what do you wanna do?" Ji-min asked. "I'm just trying to point out the facts," Nam-ra remarked. "We all know no one's coming. I think we should just figure out what we're going to do next," Ji-min expressed. "We have to wait to be rescued. We can't leave somewhere safe to go somewhere dangerous," On-jo recited. "And what if no one comes?" the class prez looked down at On-jo who was seated next to her.

On-jo quickly turned her head to look up at Nam-ra. "We haven't been waiting that long," On-jo nodded her head a bit. "How long do you think we have to wait? Do you think we should wait until we die?" Nam-ra quizzed. "No. I'm saying let's wait for as long as we can. There's no way we can go out right now, anyways," On-jo told. "It's probably because it's nighttime. I'm sure somebody will come in the morning, maybe," Su-hyeok spoke up. "There are a lot of choppers flying around. Let's just wait until tomorrow, and we'll see."

The room fell quiet, everybody silently agreeing with Su-hyeok. Joon-yeong sighed, bringing his shirt up to cover his nose as he strutted into the recording room, quickly shutting the door so the smell wouldn't wander any more. "Mm. I feel bad for him," Chae-sol mumbled to Ji-a, making the older girl giggle. "I think we should figure out sleeping situations. I'm getting pretty tired," Wu-jin spoke up, everybody nodding and humming is agreement.

"Unnie, can I sleep next to you?" Chae-sol requested as she smiled up at Ji-a, to which the older girl immediately accepted. Su-hyeok stepped off the table where him and Cheong-san were sitting and looked down at Ji-a. "Ji-a, come sleep with me," Su-hyeok nodded his head. Ji-a widened her eyes as his statement, everyone around them pausing. "What did he just say...?" Hyo-ryung whispered to Ji-min. "Su-hyeok, you can't just say that to a girl in front of everyone else," Wu-jin teased. "You guys know what I meant. Stop it," Su-hyeok scolded everybody as Ji-a began laughing, her and Chae-sol following him over to a cabinet where they would sleep for the night.

JI-A'S EYELIDS FLUTTERED, her being woken up by Dae-su's obnoxious snoring. She groaned quietly as a pain shot through her eyes from the bright morning sun shining through the window. She closed her eyes once more before opening them fully, forcing herself to adjust to the bright lighting. She yawned softly, about to shift her position but an arm slung over her waist and a weight on her lap stopped her. She hummed in confusion, looking down.

Chae-sol was sleeping peacefully in Ji-a's lap like she was last night, a jacket draped over mostly the freshman girl's shoulders and kind of over Ji-a's bare legs. Ji-a looked down at the the arm wrapped around her waist and trailed up it to see no one other than Lee Su-hyeok. His head was tilted almost on her shoulder, Ji-a frowned as she looked at how his neck was craned — that's definitely gonna hurt later.

Ji-a sighed, lifting her head off the cabinet and massaging the back of it, her whole body was in pain from sleeping in a weird position that she wasn't used to, but mostly her head hurt from
being against the hard cabinet all night. Just from the slightest movement, Su-hyeok groaned and tightened his grip around the girl's waist, snuggling his face deep into her neck. Butterflies formed in the pit of her stomach as she froze, not knowing how to react.

Chae-sol moved around in Ji-a's lap, shuddering. "It's so cold..." she muttered, half asleep. Ji-a took the little bit of what she realized to be Su-hyeok's jacket off of her legs and draped it over Chae-sol's full body. Ji-a comfortingly rubbed Chae-sol's sides in an attempt to make the young girl warmer. Ji-a was freezing herself, but her little sister was her biggest priority now that her twin brother wasn't there anymore.

Ji-a looked up, meeting eyes with Nam-ra, who was gawking at the girl on the floor. Ji-a noticed an odd look in Nam-ra's eyes. Jealousy. Envy. Rage. Ji-a had always been good at reading people. Nam-ra let out a breath she didn't know she was holding as she broke away from Ji-a's eye contact. Ji-a thought a bit until she came to a conclusion. Nam-ra must like Su-hyeok. That's now two friends she's betraying. Great.

Cheong-san shot up out of his seat, rushing to the window making Ji-a jump a bit. On-jo walked over, standing next to him. "Cheong-san? On-jo? Is everything okay?" Ji-a called out, her voice merely a whisper as to not wake anybody up. "No one came," Cheong-san croaked out as his eyes scanned the field that was still filled with zombies. Ji-a nor On-jo said anything. Ji-a watched as On-jo slipped her hand into Cheong-san's. She smiled, knowing if Gyeong-su was here and saw that, he would be jumping with joy.

Everybody began slowly waking up as an hour passed, changing positions, most of them sitting around the table. Chae-sol, Su-hyeok and Ji-a remained in their spots, not having enough energy to move. Dae-su turned around, smiling at the three of them all cuddled up together. "Hey. You three look like a family," Dae-su announced, making everybody turn to them. Chae-sol furrowed her eyebrows, turning her head to look up at Ji-a.

"...What?" Su-hyeok faltered, still tired. "You guys look like a couple. With Chae-sol as your child," Dae-su repeated himself. "Now that I think about it, Su-hyeok and Ji-a would have the cutest kids. He's handsome and she's pretty," Wu-jin heckled, laughing along with Dae-su. Without looking back, Ji-a grabbed a book on the counter above her, throwing it at the pair, hitting Wu-jin straight in the stomach. He groaned, almost falling out of his seat as he bent over, holding his torso to which everybody laughed at.

Everybody stopped talking about Su-hyeok, Ji-a and Chae-sol and began talking about how no one had come and even try to save them. "They'll come for us eventually," On-jo emitted. "How long do we wait?" Hyo-ryung questioned. "Until they come," On-jo replied. "There's no guarantee they'll come, though," Hyo-ryung argued. "So? You want to go out there?" On-jo asked. "Even if they come, they won't find us if they don't know we're here," Ji-min turned around, looking at everybody from her spot by the window.

"Well, we can put up a sign for help," On-jo suggested. "How?" Ji-min asked. "I remember my dad taught me a signal that's used internationally. It was red and blue arranged together to create some sort of pattern... How about we just write SOS on a curtain?" On-jo breathed out, realizing she didn't remember the signal. "Yeah, let's do that," Hyo-ryung nodded.

"We can't last long, anyway," Nam-ra blurted, making everybody turn to her. "Three minutes without oxygen, three days without water, three weeks without food," the president continued. "What's that?" Su-hyeok asked. "How long a person can survive," Nam-ra responded. "It's only been a day, you know. We have to try the best we can," On-jo murmured. Nam-ra looked over at On-jo. "We'll show signs of dehydration today. And we won't be able to move by tomorrow," Nam-ra concluded.

"What are you trying to say? Are you saying we should go out, or... are you saying we'll die , anyway, so we shouldn't bother doing anything?" On-jo questioned. The room fell silent as Nam-ra looked away. "I don't know," she mumbled. "Then don't say anything," Ji-min grumbled. "I think the prez means we should think about anything else that we can do. Right?" Su-hyeok spoke up. "No," Nam-ra replied. "No?" Su-hyeok repeated.

"We don't know anything at all. We need to know something to make plans," Nam-ra advised. "What more do we need to know?" Ji-min asked. "What Nam-ra means—" Su-hyeok's sentence was quickly cut off when Ji-a harshly pulled his messy hair, making him groan in pain. "Shut up. You don't even know what she means," Ji-a snapped. "You're right..." Su-hyeok sighed, patting the spot where Ji-a pulled.

"Are you saying we need to understand the situation before we take action?" Cheong-san asked Nam-ra, to which the president nodded. "Yes. That's right," she approved. "Well, I totally agree with that. We need more information to decide whether to wait, run or get out," Cheong-san explained Nam-ra's words more easily. "What can we find out on this situation, and also, how?" Dae-su asked.

"We can check online if we have a cell phone," Cheong-san replied. "But we don't," Su-hyeok chimed in. "The teacher's office," Cheong-san spoke. "What?" On-jo mumbled. "I think I can climb out and go to the teacher's office to get a phone," Cheong-san walked over to the window, climbing up. "Cheong-san, stop being so stubborn," On-jo rose out of her seat. "Two rooms across and one floor down to the teacher's office," he told her.

"You shouldn't go," On-jo shook her head. "If I can't make it, I'll just come back, you know? Don't worry about me," he articulated. "I'm not worried about you. I'm pissed off," On-jo scoffed. "Sure. Yes. Why would you ever worry about me?" he nodded, hurt in his voice as he stood up on the windowsill. "Fuck," Su-hyeok muttered in Ji-a's ear as he let go of her waist. "Chae-sol, is it okay if I have this back?" he crouched down next to the girl, tugging lightly on his jacket. Chae-sol nodded as she sat up, handing him his jacket. He quickly threw it on, rushing over to the window. Ji-a immediately stood up from her spot, running over to the window as Su-hyeok climbed up on the windowsill.

"Lee Su-hyeok! Where do you think you're going?" she quickly grabbed his hand, almost pulling him down off the windowsill. "I'll be back soon, Ji-a," his heart tugged at the girl who was tightly holding his hand. He lifted his free hand and cupped the side of her face, holding her in a way to comfort her. "I'm coming down if you're not back in fifteen minutes," Ji-a told him. "I will be. I promise," he smiled at her, before lifting himself up out of the window, following after Cheong-san. Ji-a stuck her head out the window, her heart rate quickening as she watched the two boys hold on for their lives to the side of the school.
