Chris Cornell - Halloween

Context - You and Chris are at a party.

1991, Oct 31st.
---- Girl Name - Violet James

IT WAS HALLOWEEN OF 91'. I got dragged along to this stupid costume party.

Don't get me wrong, I love parties, but I wasn't up for it today.

But still, riggy and Allison dragged me out to a party at this werid Victorian mansion.

I went basic, a vampire.

It's just a simple darker makeup look with red lipstick going down the side of my mouth.

I had on a black song sleeved tight-fited shirt with straight legged black jeans that had a rip on the knee.

A black belt and black shoes too.

It's literally basic.

And of course, when I walk in, I see Eddie climbing the sides of the house.

"Oh." Riggy stared at Eddie, "hello."

"Hi!" Eddie waved, jumping off the metal bar, "somebody lost a shirt up there."

"Already?" I asked, slightly annoyed.

"Such a vampire," Eddie teased, messing with my hair.

"Wanna drink?" He asked Allison and riggy, pointing to the table full of liquor.

"Violet?" He looked towards me.

"Sure.."

I always had vodka. I don't know why. I just always had.

Riggy, Allison, and Eddie all went to the table, Eddie came back a little later and brought the bottle. I simply thanked him and walked around.

"A girl just my type," a guy said as he walked up to me.

"And you're just not mine," I walked past, not giving him a second glance.

I tried everywhere looking for a bathroom, even walking in on scenes I wish I had ever walked in on.

It was like a 2 story mansion, which made every room something I wasn't looking for.

With 10 minutes of looking, I found one.

I quickly opened the door, shutting it immediately after and locking it.

I had already opened the bottle a few doors ago, so I just sat against the bath wall and slid my sunglasses back onto my face, leaning back and shutting my eyes.

I wanted to sleep.

I did get at least a couple minutes of rest before the curtain slid open.

"Sunglasses inside?" A man asked, "taking the vampire task too literally."

I jolted up, sliding then back onto my head and staring at the man, "When were you in here?"

"Uhm," he looked down at his watch, "30 minutes ago."

"Didn't think to lock the door?"

He looked at the door, then back to me, shrugging.

I huffed, sliding the sunglasses back on and taking a drink of the vodka, resting back to how I was.

"You're not gonna leave?" The man asked.

"No, I'm comfortable."

He hummed, staying quiet for a little- I guess to let me have peace.

For a minute.

"Do you wanna leave?" He blurted out.

"I don't even know you," I replied blankly.

"Here," he sat up, leaning beside me but still on the inside of the bathtub, "I'm chris, chris cornell."

I slid the sunglasses back off, again, and shook his hand, "I'm violet, violet James."

"Nice to meet you, Violet," he smiled, "now, since we've been introduced, wanna leave?"

I shrugged, standing up, "Why not."

He smiled as he got up and out of the bathtub, which let me look at him better.

And my god, he was gorgeous.

"Vampire?" I said, looking at the 'blood' on the side of his mouth.

"Isn't it obvious?" He asked, wiping off his shirt.

If we were side by side, we'd be matching.

He had all back on, but a short sleeve and shirts instead of a long sleeve and jeans.

"Yes."

He unlocked the window, looking down at the ground.

"I'm not gonna fucking jump," I step back from him.

"Yea, me either," he sassed, "that's why there's a latter."

I looked down, seeing a latter that led down to the side of the house.

"Oh."

"I'll get down first, then you," he states, swinging his leg out of the window, slowly climbing down.

I watched as he climbed down the unstable latter, jumping from a few feet above to the ground.

"Your turn!" He smiles.

I huffed, swinging my leg over and then the other and slowly climbing down the latter.

"I got a real nice view!" Chris laughs.

"Shut the fuck up," I flip him off, climbing down quicker.

I jumped off and stared at hum, confused as to where he wanted to go.

"Follow me," he grabbed my hand, running down the sidewalk.

We ran for a good mile, then stopped at a house.

"A housing village, nice," I nodded, still having vodka in hand.

"Shut it."

I put my hands up and followed him to his porch and up a view steps till he stops and searches for I'm guessing keys.

"I let keys with Eddie, fuck," he mumbles.

"You know eddie?" I ask.

"He's my best friend," he blanky replies, looking around till he spots the Mat and checks under it for a key.

"Oh, you're that Chris he talks about!"

"Didn't figure that out sooner?" Chris asked as he unlocked the door, placing the key in the light fixture.

"No."

The place was a bit messey, but home.

"Sorry about the mess," Chris kicks his shoes off.

"It's cool," I shrug, looking around his place.

"I wonder if my friends are looking for me," I say as I sit down on his couch.

"Probably," Chris hops over the couch.

I just shrugged, laying back on his couch. It was comfortable.

"Making yourself at home, I see?" He laughs, putting my legs on his lap.

"You're couch is so fucking comfortable."

He laughs, laying his head back onto the back of the couch.
....

"There they are!"

I woke up to three people who were too familiar leaning against the couch.

"Hello," Chris greets them, moving hair from his face.

"What the fuck," I mumble, adjusting my eyes to see them.

"I knew they were here," Eddie smiled.

"Why are yall here?" Allison asks.

"Yall know each other?"

"One question at a time," I sit up on the couch, putting my hair back into place.

"The party sucked," Chris answered the first question.

"And we Sort've know eachother," I answer the 2nd one.

"Sortve?"

"Yes, sort've," Chris nodded.

"Well, parties crashed," Eddie states, pointing to the red and blue flashing lights that were peaking through the window.

"Yea, the whole blocks shut down," riggy says as he looks out the window.

"How'd yall get out then?" I asked.

"Back way," Allison commented.

"Uh guys," riggy looks at us, "there coming up the sidewalk."

Chris and Eddie ran to the kitchen, I shoved the vodka under the couch, and Allison ran to the bathroom with me.

She tried to look as normal as possible, I was just wiping the lipstick on the side of my face off and looking everywhere to cover up the smell.

I ran out of the bathroom and to the kitchen to see Eddie and Chris panicking to hide everything.

"Do yall have any mints?" I ask, looking around the kitchen.

"Yea candy dish," Eddie says as he shoves liqour into a cabinet.

I grabbed a few to give to riggy and Allison, too, poping one in my mouth.

Allison and riggy came out of the bathroom at the same time, I passed them the mints and started lighting a cigarette.

Right on time came a knock at the door.

Shit.

"I'll get it," I say, trying to look as sober as possible.

I opened the door mid way, smiling at the officer.

"Hello?"

"Hello." He nodded, looking behind me, "Have you heard of a party going on around here?"

"No, my friends and I just came home from the store a little ago."

"Have they heard of a party going on?"

I looked behind me, seeing Allison and riggy shake their heads.

"Alright," the officer nodded, "have a good night."

"You too," I said, shutting the door, looking out the peek hole and watching him go down to the house next door.

"Alright, he's gone."

"Finally," Allison let out a breath.

"Now that he's gone.." Eddie pauses, taking out bottles of liqour, "let's drink!"
