45- Demangelina

Chapter 45- Demangelina

Third person's POV

"Who are you?"

"What title do you have to inquire that?" Demangelina quirked a brow at the annoyed alpha.

"Are you Angel's wolf perhaps?" Hunter finally asked the question plaguing his thoughts but he didn't think she was a wolf, Angel could very well be a hybrid but of what he doesn't have a clue.

"Nah, I'm her demon." Ace was rather annoyed at the fact she answered Hunter but not him.

As if hearing his thoughts Demangelina peered at him, "I don't see why you waste your last moments being annoyed."

"Pardon?!"

She retracted her gaze from him and walked further into the ring and address the Moon Goddess. "I'd like to a challenge Alpha Ace and his pack."

The Moon Goddess opened her mouth to reject the challenge but she was faster. She narrowed her eyes at the celestial being seated on the throne above the royalties.

"Selene, don't play with me. I won't say anything about the last time but thank you or the consequences would be unfavorable. However, if you come in my way of erasing his existence again I won't spare you and anyone else that intervenes, understood?"

To everyone's shock and absolute horror the Goddess nodded, "Wise choice, I'm not unreasonable so I'll only call forth everyone that took part in Angel's bullying a decade ago and now."

The Moon Goddess lips twitched, that was almost the whole freaking generation. She knew there would come a day where they would suffer for their actions but she didn't want it to happen here. Despite being creatures that kill often, wolves can only stand so much gruesomeness and she knew Demangelina's personality. She returned whatever given to her or the people around her a hundred if not a thousandfold whether it's good or bad.

Mercy wasn't in her vocabulary. "Just refrain from killing them."

Demangelina chuckled, "oh, I didn't mention it. This is a fight to the death."

Ace paled giving vampires a run for their money, memories from a decade ago resurfaced in his mind. It seems he wasn't completely brawned and no brain.

He cautiously stepped back, "I don't accept this challenge."

"You don't have a choice."

Pack members all appeared in the ring one by one, they had no idea how they reached there. A familiar girl glanced at the small woman and gripped where her arm was supposed to be. Fear gripped her bones and regret flooded her mind wishing she could return to the past and change her actions but that was only wishful thinking.

People seated watched at the large number of people appearing in the ring and couldn't help shaking their heads. So many people took part in bullying in a young lady? Unless this was an abnormally enormous wolf pack they reckon this was all the wolves in her generation from the pack. From what some saw in the few moments of Angel's appearance, she was a sweetheart yet she had to suffer from the torment of her peers, packmates who were supposed to protect her.

"Shall we begin?" The cruel smile that adorned her red lips sent chills rushing through their bodies.

"Please, I beg for forgiveness!" The cry of desperation was from a tall skinny young man with freckles dusting his pale cheeks.

A sudden wind blew and his ginger hair fluttered and his eyes dimmed. Blood splashed on his cheek and the left lens of his glasses. The redhead that was trembling before him went limp, head dangled in the air by a single pale hand and her blood coated sections of his body.

He couldn't look away from the odd black and red eyes that instilled fear into his bone marrows. His knees gave out but a bloody hand pierced his chest before he could fell.

"Why should I?" Without waiting for a gurgled response she pulled out her hand and let the body greet the earth.

"I know you can't forgive me but I bet for mercy please!" Another pleaded with a trembling voice but like the others, she was killed ruthlessly.

"I know no mercy."

Understanding that there was no way out without a fight, sounds of shifting filled the air in an instant. Her eyes gleamed but she stood and wait for them to finish. She wanted them to feel even a tiny ounce of hope and rip it away before their last breath.

She stepped forward before a disgustingly familiar voice sounded behind her. "Step any closer and I'll kill your precious mate."

Ace's threat was proved ineffective when she didn't even glance at him. "Whether I continue or not, you'll still try to kill him." She rolled her eyes, she understood his selfishness over the years she had been sealed away.

Everyone was silent, they couldn't help the twitch of their lips. Even if it was so shouldn't you still try to save your mate?

"Furthermore..." Her cruel smile brightened and her eyes flashed, she disappeared the next second.

"Where is she? Where is she?!" Ace roared furiously, he looked around while awkwardly holding Hunter threateningly because of his height. Hunter looked the usually calm and indifferent as though canines weren't seconds away from tearing his throat apart.

"...your threat is so lousy..." An eerie voice entered his ears and he felt a finger slid across his throat.

He snapped around but he only caught her disappearing figure. "...when I can easily kill you."

This time she was at her previous position. Ace shallowed harshly, she could easily take his life in mere seconds before he even knew what happened.

She turned away from the pathetic mate and continued to the pack. "I will kill him!"

"Then go ahead and try, I don't need a weak mate anyways. You'll only help me if you were able to kill him." The ruthless word emitting from her mouth received collective gasps.

Hunter's expression didn't change and remain expressionless. Ace grew furious and frustrated, his wolf even more so and his eyes darkened as his wolf took control.

Spade released Hunter, seeing he was absolutely useless. "Babygirl, I'm sorry I disappointed you over the years but is there even a small chance I could make you forgive us."

She paused as shivers run through her body at his nickname but in disgust. She turned to him, her eyes were pulled to Hunter leaning on the wall in a relaxed position.

She chuckled at that but focused on Spade, "Please refrain from calling me that and no, call it your bad luck to be pair with a guy like this."

He nodded dejectedly, "I'll handle him until your ready to punish us."

It's safe to say everyone was confused, to say the least even the indifferent Hunter had to raise his brow. Nonetheless no one couldn't compare to how the pack members felt been abandoned by their alpha.

Looking at the hopeless group Demangelina pursed her lips, it wouldn't be fun if they got no hope to survive. "If anyone inflicts damage on me, I'll let them go."

As expected, hope-filled their eyes in past they could injury Angel. They failed to think about the length time that had passed and the huge fact that this was a merciless demon before them.

Eventually screams filled the air and eerie laughs with it as the ground dyed red. Some died with their body intact while others not. The pain inflicted was based on how they bullied Angel.

Demangelina paused after realizing they were all dead, she couldn't help the small frown that pulled on her lips.

With vicious eyes she peered at Ace, who looked dazed after receiving control, "Slithers, I summon you."

The familiar Black Mamba appeared with its lengthy body coiled around her and it's head resting on her shoulder. "Bite him."

The Moon Goddess gasped and stood abruptly, "Are you sure?!"

"Now!"

Ace stepped back at the approaching snake, the sheet size was already twice his height and thicker than his head, it was intimidating enough and the goddess reaction earlier made him more fearful.

Ace pathetically scrambled away, the moment Slithers attacked he push the relaxed Hunter towards the open jaws. Hunter's eyes flashed with annoyance at the nearing snake before grabbing both jaws and throwing him at Ace.

Demangelina sighed in relief, Hunter stayed clear of the two, and Slithers jaws locked into the astonished Ace. Thick black venom leaked into his veins and every cell in his being expanded painfully. He became extremely veiny with black veins pulsing under his skin and he began to swell. But the real pain was one that you can't see, deep into his soul.

Only to him, sounds of cracking echoed each second into his ears unto his soul shattered and disperse into nothing. His body exploded and blood rain down.

Hunter couldn't help looking at the snake that loved keeping body contact with his mate.

Someone requested I updated before Christmas so...here it is. I meant to finish it like a week ago but me being me was unmotivated, lethargic, lazy and totally caught up in some Chinese novels. This will probably most likely 98% chance if been my last update for a couple months😒 I got a big exam coming up in like two months more or less and I have not picked up at least one book. Yeah so if you haven't seen an update you know why or I could be dead🤔 well no one knows what the future holds. Yeah, that's it, I think. Btw the kids are alive.
