"Lauren! Wake up! Wake up! Wake UP!" Camila shouted in my ear.

I jolted upward, breathing heavily. "Jesus Christ, Camz... don't do that!" I whined.

Camila giggled and pulled me out of bed. "I have a surprise for you! Get dressed! And brush your teeth. Your breath smells terrible."

I rolled my eyes as I walked over to my closet and grabbed an outfit. I then went into the bathroom to get ready.

"Alright, Camz... what's the-"

I stopped mid-sentence when I entered the living room to see everything dark. There was a giant pillow and blanket fort in the middle of the room. In the fort, there was an opening and I looked through it.

Sitting inside was Camila with plated filled with eggs, bacon, and a shit ton of pancakes and French toast.

"Camz... what..."

She smiled. "I wanted to do something special today! So I made a fort, breakfast, and picked some movies we could watch!" She explained cheerfully.

I smiled at my girlfriend. "I have no idea what to say."

"Well, a 'thank you, my love' would be nice. Just sayin."

I started laughing and crawled into the fort beside her. "It smells amazing, Camz. How early did you have to wake up to set this up?"

"4:30. I put a lot of effort into this, if you couldn't tell," she said.

"Oh, I noticed. Soooo.... what movies did you get?" I asked.

She smirked and pulled out 15 DVD cases. Most were horror movies, which made me raise an eyebrow.

"I thought you hated horror movies."

She shrugged. "As long as you promise to protect me..."

I smiled and hugged her, picked a movie, and we began eating.

"Do you like your surprise?" Camila asked.

I smiled and kissed her cheek. "Yes, I do."

Camila's smile widened and we watched as the movie began.
