17. Please, Not Now

Please, Not Now

The sound of the pouring rain was heard throughout Mingyu's room. Tonight is the last night Mingyu would be spending inside the four corners of the room he had somehow grew fond of. He will be discharged tomorrow. His life would go back to how it used to be;

Outside, under the sun, with everyone.

And probably without Wonwoo.

He was excited to know what freedom is for the second time, but something makes him want to think that this is all a part of his fantasy, of the unreal he had accustomed his own self with.

He wanted this to be a dream, so that when he wake up, he would find Wonwoo beside him, his sharp eyes so warm and inviting yet holds no twinkle.

Oh, how he missed those fox-like eyes.

The way it bore into his own, the way it pierced into his soul, the way it made him feel so vulnerable yet so strong. His eyes were no doubt Mingyu's favourite.

He had seen his own reflection on it once, and it was something he loved.

He didn't care if the eyes that holds no twinkle is of someone broken, he couldn't care less about that. All he knows is that Wonwoo's eyes must be sans of twinkle, but it was still the most beautiful of all, holding all the wonders and mystery inside,

Mirroring Mingyu and his insanity, his vulnerability, unstableness.

It somehow made Mingyu feel the need to protect, and love. It somehow made Mingyu feel needed.
