Chapter 33: Kamek and koopa's

[Luigi's POV]

I woke up in the same position I had fallen asleep in. Laying on top of Bowser's warm chest. I try not to think about today's events much. As it kept upsetting me.

I turned around, so I was lying on my chest. I looked up at Bowser's face just to see that he was asleep. His stomach was more comfortable than I would've expected.

While I was looking at him, the door opened. It was Kamek. "Oh, good evening, Luigi. Is... is he still asleep?" I nodded, "What did you need?" They seemed to find that a hard question. Because it took them some time to answer.

"I just wanted to ask him what he wanted for dinner tonight. That's all..." They eventually said. Hmm, it seemed a bit suspicious. "Ah, alright. I can ask him once he's awake if you'd like." They nodded happily before poofing out of the room again.

[Kamek's POV]

What a safe. All I wanted to do was tell him that Mario was in the room as we planned. Seems that he was busy with something else, I guess. Oh, I haven't visited the koopa troopa's in a while. Time to check up on them.

I used my magic to teleport over to them and saw them all line up perfectly, "No worries. It's just me." I said as I lowered myself with the broom.

They each stood with their groups again, except one. I flew over to the lonely one, "Hey, why aren't you in your group?" It looked at me, hesitant to speak at first, but then. "My group said they didn't want me in it, so I figured it would be best if I just didn't have a group."

I got off my broom and teleported it away. "Which one was your group? I can have a word with them for you, if you want me to." It looked at me with a slight smile, nodded, and walked over to a small group of koopa's.

They were all giggling at the troopa I was with until they saw me. "What's Kamek doing with a loser like him?", "I don't know, but I bet he ratted us out!", "Shh! I bet they can hear us."

"You're right, I can. Now give me a good explanation as to why you don't want him in your group." I said, standing normally, but looking at them slightly annoyed.

"Well, first off, he's a loser." The second one said.

"And he makes the lamest jokes ever!" The third one said.

"Oh, and don't forget when he ran away crying! So pathetic! Our group shouldn't have someone as weak and pathetic as him!" The first one said

"Enough." I said with my wand pointed at them, which immediately silenced them. "I see you 3 don't want him in your group for the dumbest reasons possible. Though because you guys think he isn't good enough..."

I stayed quiet for a second so they'd think I'll  do something bad. "He can help me instead." I said and grabbed the shocked koopa troopa's arm. "Now, bye-bye." I waved before teleporting the koopa troopa and I to my room.

I let the koopa troopa go again. "Thank you, uhm... sir?" He said nervously. "Just say Kamek, I don't mind." He sighed quietly before asking, "What did you teleport us here for?"

I searched through a few of my drawers. "Just a few questions. You don't have to answer them if you don't want to. Also, if they try to bully you again after this, just come to this room. It's mine."

I grabbed a notebook out of the drawer and sat down on the bed. Patting next to me to inform him he was allowed to sit next to me. He nervously sat down next to me. "Water?" I asked out of the blue, and he looked at me confused. "To help calm your nerves." I added.

He nodded, and I teleported a glass of water in front of him. He quickly drank it all, and I used my magic to get his glass somewhere safer. "So, onto the questions."

~ around half an hour later ~

We were halfway through the questions, but he seemed quite uncomfortable. "Is something bothering you?" He looked over to me, "Is that one of the questions? Or..." I shook my head, "I'm asking you, not for the task."

He looked down and then looked back up at me. "I was just wondering something." I sat down differently, so I would be facing him. He sat down the same way. "What do you wonder?"

"Well, the truce. Now that there's a truce, we can't fight much anymore. And I don't really know what else I can do." He seemed quite upset when he said those things.

I put my hand on his shoulder, which made him look at me in the eyes. "You're more than just a fighter. You know? Even during the truce, you're still you. And you can always come here if you don't know what to do. The koopalings and I can entertain you in other ways than just fighting."

He smiled at what I had said, and I took my hand off his shoulder. "Maybe if they like you, you can even play games with them." I nudged against his shoulder while I said that.

I looked up at the time to see that a lot of time had already passed, and I should start cooking for the koopalings, Bowser, Luigi, and Mario. Even if he's locked up, we can't starve him.

"Want to help me cook?" I asked the koopa troopa with a smile, and they followed me into the kitchen.

[Junior's POV]

Did I just see that right? Kamek and the Koopa troopa? Walking together!??!?!? Smiling at each other!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?

I quickly ran back to our gossip room. "Gu-" My sentence got cut off by Morton raging at a game. Each one of us looked at him as he smashed the TV and broke it.

Wat da hell?

We all gasped, and even he seemed shocked. It took only a matter of time before we could hear dad stomping over to our room. Uh-oh.

(The end of Chapter 33)

Y'all love the cliffhangers, I know. The real question is, do y'all love the (kinda) bond I made between Kamek and the Koopa troopa? Idk how that idea even got to me.

Also, again, my apologies for the late update. My mentality isn't the best right now, but I'll see what I can do. <3 Just wanted y'all to know that even if it seems like I forgot about you or the book, I haven't. I'm just busy <3
