▎WORLD EXPOSITION ▎

┊ ༑ ࿐WINTA SHOOK AWAKE HEARING HER FATHER AND BROTHER SING OUT, "YOU MUST TAKE THE A-TRAIN," one of their favorite songs. She contemplated yelling, 'Put the volume down!' but groaned and instead got up. She pulled down her nightgown and put on her sandals. Usually, when they 'sing,' it's time to clean the house, but she had better things to do today. She had a day off at school today, well all the schools had a day off because today was the 'World Exposition'. Many teachers wanted to watch it and see all the new gadgets that would change their world. Winta and Petiri were glad they got their chance to go. They would be alongside Bucky and Steve and would all enjoy their time together.

Winta opened her door and rubbed her eyes which were red due to how long she had stayed up just for the meeting. She knew she could have gone to the Long Island bar with Bucky. It would have been way more fun than talking about how they couldn't find any Wakaindians in the past few months. She looked up, seeing her mom steam her clothes for the World Exposition and her brother and father sweeping and dusting around the living room. "I swear, if she drops any food on this dress..." Her mother muttered as she continued muttering Wakandian curses.

Winta laughed, causing her mother to look up quickly and smile, "Well, good morning, honey," Winta sighed, walking over to the kitchen. "Good morning to you too mum," She smiled while preparing her coffee. Her mother finished steaming the dress and walked behind Winta, blabbering about what consequences she'd get if she got the dress dirty. Coming to Winta's rescue from her mother's worries, Petiri exclaimed, "Mama!" While hugging her from the back, their mother switched her whole personality, "Baby!" She hugged him back, almost forgetting Winta was still there, "Do not try making me confused. Both of you get ready," She walked out of the kitchen but after kissing them.

"You look beautiful," Bucky muttered, looking her up and down lustfully. Winta laughed as her cheeks heated up, "You need to stop." Bucky shrugged his shoulders, "I can't help it." Petiri muttered an 'ew' as he watched the two, despising how he was forced to hear his sister get wooed. Winta hit his shoulder, "Act like a grown-up for once." She rolled her eyes as Petiri's jaw dropped, "I'm older than you by 13 minutes." Bucky laughed as he heard them bickering but soon waved them goodbye as he greeted his date.

Even though Bucky had invited Winta to the Expo, he had still brought a date, which confused her. She was a pretty white woman with brown hair, wide eyes, and a smile that showed her white teeth. Winta looked away as Bucky's arm went around her waist and she giggled. He laughed with her. She felt jealousy crush her heart and her stomach starting to hurt, but it was a familiar feeling. She was always jealous when Bucky talked about other girls or had seen him with them. Bucky was a ladies' man. She could not blame him for all the girls running up to him. But she did blame him for the act he put around them. Petiri saw the hurt in her stance, being amazing at reading people, and told her they'd better start walking with the group. Steve had finally arrived and had his woman on his hip, a pretty blonde lady.

Up ahead was a crowd of people, all mesmerized by the women walking onto the stage with a red car behind them. Winta observed them, looking at their clothing and acting, seeing how they projected a weird, happy, yet stressed vibe. Soon out came Howard Stark, a woman walking up to him taking his hat, and kissing him. "Ew," Petiri muttered. Winta turned back to him with a smile, "Such a baby." Many idolized Stark for doing things many could not do. His smarts and charm would make anyone swoon for him.

"When mom said I should have focused more in school, I should have listened. Do you see how cool this man is?" Petiri exclaimed, getting looks from others around them. Winta slapped his arm, trying to get him to quiet as they both chuckled. "You know you could be like him one day," He murmured, as Winta shook her head, "I wish."

Howard got onto the mike, "Ladies and Gentlemen, what if I told you that just in a few short years, your automobile won't even have to touch the ground at all?" Many gasps erupted from the ground as two women pulled off the car's tires. "This is not going to go well," Winta muttered as Prince kissed his teeth, "You always look at the bad side. If it does work you owe me five dollars," Winta smiled and shook his hand, "That's a deal,"

"With Stark Gravitic Reversion Technology, you'll be able to do just that," Howard says with a smile. Surprised by his own doing, Howard congratulated himself with a smug smile, but something had to go wrong. He turned to what looked like a small dashboard and flipped some switches before the car floated for a few seconds. Oo's and Aw's were heard from the crowd. Prince almost shat his pants. Sparks from one of the non-tire boxes flashed out, making the car fall to the ground. "Oh shit," shrieked Prince and Winta; now it was Winta's turn to almost shit her pants.

Gasps erupted from the crowd, and some started laughing. The smile that had not faded from Stark's face allowed him to say, "I did say a few years, didn't I," The audience started clapping as Prince and Winta bickered over the five dollars — he was trying to back out of the deal. "You, like, know the future. This isn't fair," muttered Prince. Winta rolled her eyes, "You just have a really bad intuition. You can not predict stuff. Looking at the bad side does work," As he pulled out his wallet, a smug smile was placed on her face, "Take that off your face," he was clearly annoyed.

The Requirement Center. It's where they found Steve. Bucky and Steve were fighting. Even Petiri noticed it from a far distance. Winta could not wonder how sad Steve must have been. He had disappeared from behind them when Stark was on the stage. Once Bucky found him, he was staring at the top of his head at the "Enlist Now" poster. Steve knew that Winta had gotten into the army, and she watched as his expression faded once he heard the news. He was physically unable to fight even though he wanted to, and a woman got in before him. "It's hard watching them fight," Winta announced as Bucky walked away from Steve. Prince nodded, "I guess, I mean, I barely know them," That cracked a smile on her face, along with Bucky and Steve hugging again.

"Wanna go see some more?" Petiri asked as they stood beside each other having nothing better to do.

"Sure,"
