Help me.

(L/N) (Y/N), Musutafu, 21

It was about half-past 5 and the gas tank in the motorcycle ran out. Good thing it was full, Hinata and I got away from that wretched place we call home. I parked the cycle in an alleyway between some buildings, there wasn't any use of the motorcycle anymore, Ikari could accuse me of stealing after running away if he ever were to report me to the police, even though I did steal it.

Hinata got off the vehicle, her two bags hanging from both of her shoulders. Before leaving the alleyway, I quickly put my hair in a ponytail, grabbing my leather jacket that had holes in the back for my broken wings.

"Mommy, what will we do?" My daughter asked as we walked out of the alleyway. I held her hand and smiled down at the girl.

"We'll find a place to stay, but for now, I'll need to find a job," I explained. Her only response was a nod and a hum. We walked through the city streets for a bit and watched as the sun rose up.

There were some people walking to either work or school, some gave Hinata and me weird looks. After walking around the little part of the city, there was a sign that was hanging on what looked like a club building.

'Help wanted! Dancers, waiters, baristas! $16 an hour' the sign said. I raised an eyebrow and decided to go inside the club, Hinata following.

"Hi." A woman came to me as I entered. She looked at me then at Hinata with a questioning look.

"May... I help you two?" the female asked. She was rather tall, taller than I am. I felt Hinata shuffle behind me, scared of the lady in front of us.

"We're closed right now if you're here for a job then-"

"Yes, I'm here for a job." I cut off the lady. She eyed me up and down once again, crossing her arms and shifting her weight to her left leg.

"Okay, your.. Daughter can sit in the lounge for a bit, come with me." The woman said, her amber eyes moving away from us. I lightly pushed Hinata over to the lounge, her nodding and quickly shuffling over to the booths.

I followed the ravenette down the halls of this club and into a large office of hers. As we get closer to her desk, she sits down and so did I.

"So, what's up with you and your daughter?" The question confused me, I left my mouth agape for a second then closed it.

"Sorry, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Tomioka Misaki, and my quirk can manipulate my tattoos into what they are," The woman introduced herself, rolling up her black sleeves to show her dragon tattoos that slithered up to her wrists.

"I'm (L/N) (Y/N), my quirk is Sapphire dove." I stated, locking eye contact with Misaki. Her amber eyes scanned my body, looking at the edge of my shoulder to the sight of my broken wings.

"And what happened to them? That question following, what happened to you and that little girl?" Misaki asked again, making me fidget with the ends of my thumbnail as if they were trying to pry each other off.

"Um, why do you ask?" I tried to ask as politely as I could. Every time I looked up the slightest bit, she only stared with her cold golden eyes, it felt like knives touching the surface of my skin.

"Your daughter has been trembling ever since you've entered, and those wings aren't the only thing that got hurt." Misaki said, pointing at the bandages that wrapped my neck, down to my shoulders and back. Before speaking, I exhaled a sigh and cleared my throat.

"My boyfriend- Ex-boyfriend, was abusive and my daughter didn't want to stay with that bastard anymore, I didn't either. So we ran away. He broke my wing every time they tried to regrow, but they were always so fragile during the healing process." I explained, my eyes now looking at the wooden floor. Silence filled the room, only a small creak of Misaki's chair escaped into the air. Looking up, she was leaning back in her seat, looking at me with the same cold look.

"So you need a job, even when you don't have a place to go to." Misaki states the obvious, I nod slowly, lowing my head back down to look at the floor.

"I'll give you a job here, but I don't have a place for you to stay." Misaki said, but before she said anything else, I cut her off.

"I don't need a place to stay at, I just need a job and it'll be fine." I said as I stood up but as the amber eyes shot up and glared into my (E/C) orbs, I quickly sat down.

"What about your daughter?" She asked. Even I was curious about what next I should do for my daughter. I want her to be happy and safe, far away from the man that she always feared.

"I can just stay at a motel and she'll be fine." I said. The atmosphere felt heavy and dense, only silence filled it, my answer being not the smartest one for a mother.

"Okay, you get the job. You can start training right now and I'll watch over your daughter." Misaki said. I looked at her with glimmering eyes, happy that she said yes to me.

"Thank you, I'll get to the bar right now." I said and left her office.

~Misaki~

Misaki watches as the young lady leaves her office, her eyes soften just thinking about how the two must've suffered. As she was about to get up from her desk, her phone rings, the name 'KT' showed for the ID.

The ravenette picks up the phone and smiles to herself.

"Hey, what's up?" Misaki says, humming and nodding to the person on the other phone.

"When will you come to the party? The club gets pretty busy when you're here." The tall woman jokes but only gets a straightforward answer from the person on the other line.

"Hm, okay. Oh, and is it okay if you have someone over at your place?" Misaki asks, putting her free hand in the back pocket of her high-waisted jeans.

Who and why?
Asked the male, his voice was light and a bit raspy from the other end.

"A friend, she has a daughter and they don't have anywhere to go. She's working here and says that she'll find a motel to stay with her daughter, but I can tell she's worried about her daughter. So just do this as a favor for me." Misaki explains, waiting for the male's response.

Okay, you owe me.
The man says over the phone. A chuckle came out from Misaki's end before continuing their little conversation.

"A free drink when you come?" The ravenette offered, another chuckle followed which caused the male to do the same.

Okay, send me a picture of your friend so I know who it is later.
The voice said before hanging up. Misaki sighs in relief and exits her office.

~(L/N) (Y/N)~

I look up at the clock, it was almost 10. I've been cleaning tables and practice making drinks for when I come back tomorrow. I look over at Hinata who was laying down in a booth, sleeping. Riding a motorcycle all night tires a kid.

"Hey (L/N), I need to take a picture of you before ending your training." Misaki calls for me from the bar. I walked over with the damp blue rag in my hand.

"Oh okay, and Ms.Tomioka, you can call me by my first name." I said, a small smile escaping my lips, Misaki returning the gesture.

"Okay, (Y/N), well can I take a picture?" Misaki asked. I nodded and saw the phone that Misaki had already taken out of her pockets.

After a few seconds, a flash of light blinded me for a moment as I smiled into the camera. After that, I woke up my blonde daughter and we left the club before it opened.

"Did you sleep well?" I asked as I held my daughter's hand, my duffel bag hanging on my shoulder. It was a royal blue color for the night sky and it was beautiful, I look down to see my daughter looking slightly up at the sky as well, making me smile.

"I'm still tired mama." Hinata said softly, rubbing her eyes as we passed a convenience store. There was a brick wall across from the store that followed down to the end of the street and into a neighborhood.

"We'll find a place to sleep at, don't worry." after saying that, I could feel goosebumps go up the back to my neck. Hinata stopped and when I looked at the little girl, her face went white.

"I smell blood, mommy." The little girl whispered, making my grip on the girl's hand tighten.
It took me a couple of seconds before I smelled iron in the air, making me panic. Before I could pick up the little girl and start sprinting out of the area, I was pushed into the small pathway beside the convenience store that led to a dead end.

A hand was covering my mouth and I couldn't yell for help, only a whimper as I felt my fragile crystal wings scratch and pierce my skin as I was pushed against the wall.

My eyes focused on the man, he was middle-aged, the bags under his eyes very visible as his eyes were red too. I saw him raise his arm that was shapeshifted into a spear, ready to slash my face. I struggled and tried to scream, but my noises muffled from the hand covering my mouth and I was too weak to get out of the mans grip.

Someone, help.
