Date: October 26th 2023 Gracie is born

Katie POV

I woke up with a pain on my lower back. I sat up on the bed and tried to breathe.

"Baby. Are you okay?" I heard Niall asked but I didn't respond to him

I closed my eyes and concentrated on my breathing. I felt someone holding my hands. I opened my eyes to see shirtless Niall looking at me.

"Is she coming?" he asked

"I don't know but it hurts Ni" I cried

"Hey it's ok. You're having contractions. Let's see how long they last. We need to go to the hospital if they last 45 to 60 seconds. They will occur 3 to 4 minutes. We have to at least wait for 2 hours before we start heading to the hospital. Don't ask me how I know this. Just trust me. Do you want to take a walk around the apartment?" he asked and I nodded "Come on" he said as he held my hands

I gripped his hand as we started walking around the apartment. I felt okay walking around then the pain came back again and Niall looked at his watch.

"Okay. You had another contractions after 5 minutes. Let's take another walk" he said

"Ni" I told him

"Yeah" he said as we kept walking

"I love you" I told him and he smiled

"I love you too baby. Let's have this baby together today" he said and kissed my lips then he pulled away

"One more" I pouted

He chuckled and gave me 2 rapid kisses to make me giggle.

This is it. I'm giving birth today. Niall and I just arrived at the hospital because my water just broke. They immediately put me on the bed and put these wires on me. There was a knock on the door and Lucas, Jade, Amy, and Emma came into the room.

"How are you baby sis?" Lucas asked as he kissed my head

"Good. I just want this one to be out" I said and pointed my belly

"I thought you water broke. Why didn't you do delivery already?" Jade asked

"They wanted to wait for a bit" Niall told Jade as he hugged her

"You okay?" Amy asked me as she stood beside my bed

"Yeah I am. Don't worry" I told her and she nodded

Niall came up behind her and picked her up to make her squeal.

"How's my girlfriend?" he asked her and kissed her cheek

"I'm not your girlfriend anymore" she said and I chuckled because Niall pouted

"What? Why?" he asked her

"You cheated on me" she said

"No I did not" Niall said

"Yes you did with Katie" she said and I giggled

"I'm sorry Amy" I told her

"It's okay. I forgive you but not him" she said and pointed at Niall

Niall chuckled and tickled her to make her squeal with laughter. The nurse and doctor came back.

"Katie how are you feeling?" Dr.Sam asked

"I'm good. I'm ready get this baby out of me" I told him and he chuckled

"I think she's ready to come out" Dr. Sam said

"Finally" I said and Niall chuckled

Niall gave Amy to Lucas then came to me. He took my hand and kissed the back of it as the doctor and nurse are getting ready.

"Are you ready to see Gracie?" he asked me

"I'm ready. I bet she is going to have your eyes" I told him as I laid down properly on the bed

"She is going to have your cute nose and dimples" he said as he poked my nose and then my dimples as they popped up

"I love you" I told him

"I love you too beautiful" he said and kissed me

"You ready?" Dr. Sam asked me

"Ready as I ever be" I said

"You're going to do great" Niall said as he kissed my forehead

Niall POV

Gracie May Horan has been born today. I can't believe she's in my arms. She has her eyes open and looking at me. Katie did an amazing job. She is sleeping right now. She did feed her and burped her.

"She is so precious" Jade said as she looked at Gracie in my arms and I smiled "You're going to be a great father to Gracie. Niall" she said

"Thanks. I hope so" I said

"You already a great brother to Amy and a great uncle to Emma. I bet you're going to be a good dad" she said

"Yeah. I agree with Jade here" Lucas said

"Thanks you guys" I told them

"So, when are you going to pop the question to Katie?" Lucas asked

"You're okay with it if I marry her?" I asked him

"Yeah mate. You're a great boyfriend for her mate. I never seen her this happy with someone. I think you should do it" he said

"Thanks mate. But I don't know if I should do it right now. I might wait for one year or whenever we are settled" I told him and he nodded

I looked back at Gracie and kissed her cheek. She closed her eyes and went to sleep.

Katie POV

"Good afternoon" I heard Niall said as I opened my eyes and saw Niall is on the rocking chair.

He is shirtless and doing skin to skin with Gracie.

"Good afternoon. Is she asleep?" I asked him

"She was. She woke up 10 minutes ago" he said and I nodded

I looked around the room to see my family is not here.

"Where is Luke?" I asked him

"Oh they went back home because Amy didn't like the hospital that much. They decided to go back home. They will come when we go back home" he said and I nodded "I think she pooped for the first time. I think you need to change her" he said as he got up

"No, no, no. You need to change her" I told him as I sat up on the bed

There's no wires on me except for the IVE. They want to check everything is okay before take it out.

"What? Why? You know I don't know how to change a infant" he said

"Well, this is your time to learn" I told him

"You're so lucky I love both of you or we will have a problem" he said and I giggled

We went over to the table where Gracie's stuff is at. Like her diaper and wipes. Niall laid Gracie down gently. I went behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist and put my chin on his shoulder to see what he is doing.

"Okay. What should I do first?" he asked and I chuckled

"First, take her clothes off" I told him and he nodded

I watched as he took her clothes off and I kissed his shoulder since he was shirtless.

"Okay. What's next?" he asked

"Take off her diaper and lift her legs up to clean her bum with the wipes" I told him

I watched as he took her diaper off and I pushed my nose on his back because I didn't want to smell her poop.

"Oh god. That's nasty. How come that cute and little. Have a big poop" he said as he cleaned her poop

"Okay. Then put a new diaper then put the old diaper in the bin. Then wash your hands" I told him

He did what I told him to do.

"Okay. I'm done" he said after he finished washing his hands

He came over to me and put his hands on my waist and I put my arms around his neck.

"How is your first diaper change?" I asked him

"She is so lucky I love her or else I wouldn't change her diaper" he said

"You have to love her. She's our daughter" I smiled at him

"Unfortunately I love both of you" he said

"Hey" I said and slapped him bare chest to make him laugh

"Come here you" he said and kissed me

I giggled and kissed him back. We heard Gracie crying so we pulled then she stopped.

"Oh come on. Another person doesn't want me to kiss you. Unbelievable" he said and I giggled

"She just loves me" I told him as I picked her up and went back to the bed

"Of course she does. You just birth her. I'm just going to kiss you without her looking" he said as he poked her belly and she smiled

I smiled and kissed her cheek. My own baby. I can't believe it. I have the most amazing boyfriend in the world and most amazing daughter in the world. Both of them make me happy.
