Evelyn's POV

After putting the letter and the rose into my locker (I don't know what to do with them) I was just packing up my stuff and getting ready to leave when i got a call from my friend.

I picked up the call and "hello?"

"Hey eve, guess where are we going tonight?"

She said excitedly screaming.

"No-fucking-where. We aren't going anywhere and I dare you to tell me to come anywhere for a darn party."

I said already planning a murder.

She sighed, done with me but i wasn't joking around. I need my sleep and I am not going to ruin my tonight's plan for any body even if it's my friend.

"Come on, eve. You can't be a mood spoiler now. We are going to the luxuriant hotel and you know how much I love luxury and on top of that he is coming there too."

"Gurl, calm your tits down. Fine whatever but only this time. And remember to treat me later, if you became his girlfriend or something."

I said sighing cause I know when it's about Max, she is just undeniable.

Ruth squealed and thanked me multiple times, telling me the address and time to reach the party.

Thank God, that the address is not far away from here.

I sighed again. God, I am signing a little too much now, i am sounding depressed.

Welp, here we go then.

I read the message that Ruth sent me just now, that says to reach the address within 15 minutes.

This girl is literally getting on my nerves now.

I closed my eyes taking a deep breath.

Thankfully I had bought a dress with me, cause I don't know, I keep one with me just in case my maniac friend decides to drag me somewhere.

Lord, give me strength.

I changed into the dress quickly as I was getting late.

It was the dress above.

I looked at myself in the mirror and threw a kiss at myself cause a girl should be confident.

I then walked out of the bathroom and took my purse kept in the locker.

I again fixed my hairs and went out of the room.

It was then i realised that I have taken more then enough time, when I see my bestie standing outside the locker room with her hands folded.

As if already knowing I was standing in front of her, she raised her head and glared at me.

I chuckled nervously cause angry Ruth is sacry Ruth.

"Umm, well....."

"Don't well me right now, we are already so late. You are gonna make me die single." She whined.

"Ok, ok I am sorry. Between you look fire!!" I said trying to lighten her up and it worked.

"It doesn't look extra right?" She said doubting herself.

"Nah, girl. You look awesome, only if you weren't so loyal to your crush. You would have gotten a man or two laid." I said.

"Thanks, babe. You don't look bad yourself."

"Thanks ru."

We laughed and joined our elbows together and started going out.

We took the lift.

As we reached the parking basement, we exited the elevator and went to Ruth's car, when someone bumped into me.

My purse fell down and I quickly bent down to take it back but the man beat me to it.

He was a man, i mean obviously, and yeah he was so handsome but he was wearing a mask though, but i could see his smile as I took my purse from his hands and bowed as thank you.

He was something like this.

His hairs are smoother than mine, seriously.

I don't know, but i felt like I had seen him somewhere.

By the time, I came out of my thoughts, we were already in Ruth's car.

I shook my head and focused on my friend blabbering about her and her soon to be husband max.

I mean, girl, I don't need to know what positions will you fuck in.

But seriously, this girl is whipped for that boy.

He ain't that handsome but yeah still a good man with good manners.

I have seen it that he cares for her too, they are made for each other.

I laughed as ru told me about how she will get pregnant and like in a movie, max will get to know about it accidentally, while she will be in the bathroom crying in happiness and then he will comfort her and tell her how she made him the happiest man in the world.

Yup, typical Ruth.

She is always like that but still my best friend.

I am not much of an outgoing girl, but ru is.

We kind of became friends in a pretty cliche way.

I had recently shifted to Korea, my mother was worried about my school, studies and all, so she did a little digging and got to know that our neighbours daughter was also studying in that same school.

My mother befriended them and told them about me.

We started going to school together.

What started as a formal house to school and school to house trip made us the bestest friends.

I am happy though.

I didn't realised when did we reached the hotel but ru shook my shoulder and called me out.

I went out yawning already because I was in no mood to party, i just came here for my friend.

I stretched and went behind ru as she pressed for the elevator.

We went in an after about 7 minutes we were on our needed floor.

As we went out, we saw max standing outside the elevator.

As he saw Ruth, his eyes brighten up and I could him eyeing her up and down.

We went to him and I cleared my throat.

Ruth was checking him out too.

"Hey, maxii." I greeted him with a teasing expression on my face.

He looked at me and blushed as i had caught him.

He hugged me a little and greeted me back.

"Well, hey Ruth." He said stuttering a little.

Hmm, I am smelling something here.

"Hey." She said quietly.

Wow!! Such duality.

"Hmm, so guys. I am gonna pee. You guys, go ahead and don't find me. I might find a room and rest sometime. Enjoy!" I said and without waiting for their reply, i turned towards the washroom.

So the floor was like a normal, hallway full of rooms, just the balcony was big with roof on and the party was going on there.

(Did, I tell you guys that the party is for new year?)

I was in a hallway, finding an empty room to do my business.

I found a room and went in there.

I kep my belongings on the bed and went into the washroom.

I washed my hands and wiped them on the towel.

I went out and was going to the bed to take my things when I heard statics.

I flinched for a moment because it was all so silent and I got startled.

I turned around and saw where the statics was coming from.

It was the tv.

The big tv was Balck and white.

I looked at it for a moment because searching for the switch board to turn it off.

Before I could even move from my place, the tv went black and all the sounds stopped.

I guess it was some electronic problem.

I shrugged to myself and started going to the door.

But before I could, a voice stopped me.

"Hey there, my love."

It was a man.

I quickly turned back and walked in front of the tv again.

Now it wasn't black anymore.

Squinting my eyes, I could make it out as a room.

A luxurious one, more luxurious than the one I am in.

But it was all black, either the lights were turned off or it was originally like that.

But it was all dark.

Then my eyes caught a movement in the tv.

Someone was moving on the screen, i think.

He or she, whoever it was moved in front of the camera.

I was focusing too much on the screen, so when the screen was exchanged with my own room I was shook.

I stared at myself in the tv with a frown etched on my face.

"What was going on?" I thought to myself.

Then the screen again got changed and now, it was my own room, in my house.

"Woah, now this is creepy."

"Excuse me?"

"Who are you?"

"What are you trying to do?"

I asked questions after questions but got answers to none.

"Hello, is there anyone, sir, mam? Is this a prank?"

I again asked a question but again no answer.

I was again gonna ask something when the door opened and in came a worker of the hotel.

"Mam, are you lost? This is a private room."

She said.

"Uh, yeah I am sorry. I accidentally entered this one." I apologized, not telling the real reason.

"It's alright mam, would you mind going out, i actually needed to clean it?" She asked politely.

"Yeah, sure. But can you check this tv for me, i think it needs to be repaired. It got turned on own its own. And weird images were being shown." I asked her trying to make it sound less weird.

"Yes mam, please wait outside I will wil sure it gets checked."

"Yes, thank you. Sorry for the trouble."

"It's no problem mam, and happy new year."

"Same to you, byee have a good night."

I smiled lightly at her and went out of the door.

The moment I went out the lights of the hallway starts flickering.

It was getting more creepy now.

I need to find my friends.

I went away from the hallway to the balcony, trying to find Ruth and max.

But they were nowhere to be found.

As i was roaming into the party, a waiter came to me and offered me drinks.

I politely declined and but he was hell bent.

He was looking much younger, so i thought maybe work and boss pressure.

So I told him to get me a orange juice.

He smiled and went to the bar to get me my drink.

After a minute or two, he was back.

I was sitting on the sofa waiting for him to come, when i noticed something that made my smile drop.
