This story starts when Izuku Midoriya was about four years old. He was walking through the streets of Musutafu, Japan, going home after playing in the park. His mother had let him go by himself because she had bought a little bracelet for him which was embedded with a tracking chip, and a small button on the top so that if he is ever in any danger, he would press it twice and it would contact his emergency numbers (his Mother's and the Bakugou's) and the police. The wind swirled around him, making the cold air blow on his cheeks and the multicolored leaves danced through the breeze.

The boy was deemed to be Quirkless and was bullied for it, but despite being Quirkless, he had some very unique and beautiful features that wouldn't be found on a normal person. He staggered down the sidewalk with fresh burns and cuts covering his legs and arms. He had gotten the burns from his ex-best friend Katsuki Bakugou aka "Kacchan." Bakugou had just recently gotten his Quirk about a month earlier, which he had found out was Explosions, and when he heard that Izuku was Quirkless, he eventually began bullying him.

Izuku sighed sadly, thinking about when he and Bakugou used to be friends when he suddenly heard the faint sound of crying coming from an alleyway that stood beside him. Izuku paused and debated whether he should go in or not. He eventually decided to go in, and cautiously walked into the alley. As he walked down he heard the crying get faintly louder. Walking farther into the alley, he could see a boy sitting in a corner, huddled into a ball. He looked to be a little older than Izuku, his clothes dirty and ripped. He sported dirty soot-colored hair that was fading into a light blue at the roots. His feet were barefoot and scratched up as if he had been walking for miles without shoes. He had a couple of scratches on his arms and legs and had his face buried into his knees. Izuku walked forward and crouched down in front of the boy.

"Are you... are you ok?" He asked softly, to not frighten the boy in front of him. The boy flinched and raised his head, looking in surprise at Izuku through his bright Ruby red eyes. His mouth quivered slightly, having Izuku notice a small scar that cut over the left side of his mouth.

"Who are you?" The boy asked as tears streamed down his cheeks.

"I'm Midoriya Izuku! What's your name?"

"Shimura..Shimura Tenko..."

"Woah, cool! You're related to one of the greatest heroes ever!" Izuku exclaimed, his eyes lighting up with joy. Tenko seemed surprised at the comment, and his eyes widened a little.

"She was a famous.. A famous hero? One of the best?" He asked, a little excited. He knew his grandmother was a hero, but her being one of the best around, well at least according to this boy, made him beam slightly through his tears.

"Yeah! She was awesome! Her name was Shimura Nana. I watched a bunch of videos of her!" said Izuku. His smile started to fade however when he remembered Tenko crying earlier. "Hey... why were you crying earlier?" Tenko's eyes widened at the question but then started to tear up again.

"Well, I... accidentally... I accidentally killed my family with my Quirk a couple of days ago..." He stammered as more tears started to fall down his cheeks and onto the cold pavement.

"Wait, really?!" Izuku exclaimed, shocked and wondering what Quirk he would have to be able to lose control and kill people. He didn't want to seem scared of the boy, even if the fact that he killed his family frightened him. The ruby-eyed child clearly seemed scared and grief-stricken as it is. "Is it a fire type? It could be, based on how strong it is, but you don't have any burns on your clothes and you don't smell like smoke, so it's not that... Maybe it's an element or earth-based Quirk. There's dirt on your clothes so that could raise the chance of your Quirk manipulating the ground..." Izuku got lost in his muttering, as Tenko stared at him.

"Hey, hey, are you ok?" Tenko asked, poking him with one finger.

"Huh? Oh, sorry, I got carried away. Anyway, what Quirk do you have? It must have been a strong power if you were able to kill your family with it."

Izuku's eyes went as wide as saucers when he realized how insensitive that sounded.

"I-I didn't mean for that to sound so rude! I'm sorry! I was just so caught up in trying to figure out what it was that I said something mean!"

Tenko sweatdropped at the panic he gave, but noted the fact that when he gave a small noise or interference, the freckled boy snapped his mouth shut to listen to what he was going to say.

"Well... I don't know what it's called, but I think it has something to do with breaking something, or making something crumble away when I touch it with all five of my fingers."

"Cool!" Izuku's eyes sparkled in amazement, as he hid his still jittery nerves in order to cheer up the kid in front of him, "You have such a strong Quirk!"

"Really? You mean it?"

"Yeah!"

"But don't you think that I'm a bad person for doing it?"

"No, it was a mistake right?" Izuku asked.

"Yeah..."

The more Izuku stared at Tenko, the more amazed he was. "You're really pretty Tenko-chan! Did you know that?"

"Huh?!" Tenko exclaimed. Not once, in his life, had anyone told him that he was pretty. His cheeks started to heat up, looking away in embarrassment. "I'm not pretty... I'm ugly... and, and crusty. Everybody says so." As Tenko finished speaking, Izuku hugged Tenko quickly. Tenko's arms flew to the side in surprise to not hurt the boy. When Izuku broke the hug a minute later, he looked dead into Tenko's eyes.

"You are not ugly! And you're not a bad person for doing something by accident!"

Tenko wiped away his tears and smiled softly at Izuku's kindness. "T-Thanks Izuku. But why do you think that I'm not a bad person?"

"Even though you killed your family, it was an accident. Plus, you're still a human and should be treated with kindness and respect. Nobody should pick on you for something you didn't mean, what you look like, or what your Quirk is!" Izuku exclaimed. "Even though that's what I'm bullied for..." He thought sadly, a small smile on his face.

Tenko sniffled and gave a watery smile with tears glistening in his eyes. "Thank you Izuku."

"It's no problem! Now, do you want to go to my house? My mommy and I can clean you up and you can live with us! We can even make you some special gloves to help your Quirk!"

"Really?! Thanks!"

Izuku stood up and grabbed Tenko's arm, pulling him up. He ripped off some of his shirt, which was already torn, and tied it around two of Tenko's fingers on both of his hands so that he could temporarily touch stuff without disintegrating things by accident.

"C'mon!" Izuku said, "I'll show you the way!" Izuku held Tenko's hand and walked out of the alleyway with him. They walked down the street, hand in hand, the wind blowing through their fluffy hair and kissing the cuts and burns that littered their bodies. They reached a large apartment building, and Izuku led Tenko inside and up a few floors till they reached Izuku's apartment. Izuku went on his tippy toes and rang the doorbell, stepping away so his mom could open it. Inside the apartment, Inko Midoriya was washing the dishes and wondering when her son would be back when she heard the doorbell.

"I'll be with you in a minute!" Inko said, drying a bowl in her hand and putting it aside as she walked over to the door and opened it, revealing Izuku and a boy she didn't recognize standing hand in hand before her.

"Hello, mommy!" said Izuku happily, waving at her. Tenko stayed silent and looked at the ground. Inko bent down and brushed the hair out of her eyes.

"Hello, Izuku dear," said Inko before turning to Tenko, "and who might you be, darling?" she asked softly. Tenko raised his head and looked into Inko's emerald green eyes.

"This is Tenko! I found him in an alleyway. He doesn't have a family. Can we adopt him?" asked Izuku, his large green doe eyes sparkling as he stared pleadingly at his mother. Inko chuckled at his energetic nature, thinking about it for a moment before smiling softly.

"Sure, Izuku. He can stay as long as he wants. But first," she paused and kneeled in front of Tenko, "Okay Tenko, is there anything special I need to get, or need to know to help me take care of you better? Any allergies or diet restrictions?"

"U-um... I need gloves that cover at least one or two of my fingers so I don't use my Quirk by accident. Oh, and my neck is always itchy and red, so I might need some lotion for it. I-If you're willing of course." Tenko said nervously, looking at the floor.

"Alright, I'll go get you a pair of gloves for the rest of the day, then we can go get new stuff  like the lotion, new clothes and shoes for you tomorrow, ok?"

Tenko looked up and nodded shyly. "Um.. thank.. thank you ma'am..."

"It's no problem darling. And you can just call me Inko, or mom if you're comfortable with it, okay?" Inko smiled, standing up and leading the two boys inside, "now, let's get you two some food."

Tenko followed Izuku and Inko into the kitchen and waited patiently as Inko made dinner for them. After dinner of hot Katsudon and a dessert of warm chocolate chip cookies, Tenko took a warm bath and put on a pair of Izuku pajamas that were too big for the freckled boy.

He was spending the next couple of nights with Izuku, sharing a bed. In a moment of fear, Tenko carefully put some gloves on to not risk disintegrating Izuku in the middle of the night. As they lay in bed with the lights off, Izuku sleepily wrapped his arms around Tenko, causing the ruby-eyed child to flinch harshly at the contact, afraid that he might hurt him.

"Good night Tenko-chan..." He murmured as he snuggled closer to the boy, not minding the closeness between them. Tenko's eyes watered slightly as he looked at Izuku, before leaning into the embrace, falling into what would be the best sleep he had in days, with the young greenette laying in his arms.

The next morning, Tenko and Izuku had pancakes with fruit, whipped cream, and maple syrup. After they ate, they cleaned up and Inko took the boys to the mall to get Tenko what he needed.
