Ink spent the next few days working on what was the best first date ever with code, while still making time for his friends and hang outs and talking to code of course.

Though ink noticed code has become a bit more restless over the next few days as well, as if he wanted to say something but couldn't find the words for it.

Ink titled his head, a bit curious and puzzled on what code wanted to say to him but shrugged it off, he finally got it all down, sometimes something simple is the best way to go!

So he had been decorating the area a little bit on where he wanted to take code out for their first date, he's confident that code will accept him when he asks code out, because code was very much in love with him.

So he didn't feel like he needed to worry about that, he felt like a simple picnic area would do, at least, ink thought so, and papyrus was very encouraging to him about it being a good idea too!

Papyrus had agreed that sometimes simple things are the best then over the top things. Or just going all out.

Which ink agreed with, simple things can make things better sometimes! ...did he think that wrong? Was it simple things brights things up? No..no..that wasn't it, ink paused on decorating the area, now having a thoughtful look on his face and a little bit confused.

Wasn't there a saying with it? Or was that something else? He wasn't very good at these sort of things...

Maybe it was the Simple's things are the best! Or was it the simplest things bring the most happiness..?

Ink stared at a tree in thought before deciding the last one was the best, ok, so simple things can bring out the most happiness! Ink nodded to himself, agreeing with that before he went back to decorating the area.

It wasn't a whole lot of decorations, but just a few simple things that he's sure code would appreciate, especially at nighttime!

Oh this was going to be so great! Ink thought to himself, excited about the date.

He still needed to ask code out though, but it can be after he finished setting everything up.

Which he was almost done with, oh this was going to be so exciting! Ink thought to himself, slightly bouncing in place as he finished putting the last bit up.

He hurried off to the middle clearing area and started setting the picnic blanket down already and smoothing it out, he made sure it was a bit bigger and more puffier so if one of them or both wanted to lay down and maybe cuddle, then they would be able to comfortably.

Ink bounced a little bit, he had all the food ready in the basket, though it was back at the house in a cooler temperature to keep things cooler until he asked code out. Which will be later today, it had to be nighttime before the two showed up.

Ink teleported back to his doodle sphere, excited about asking code out after finally figuring things out a few days ago.

He seemed pretty excited about asking code out, that's a plus sign! It definitely means he at least likes code enough for this first date.

He'll figure out if he's fully in love or if it's a crush after a certain time, but he certain he actually likes code the same way code likes him! So that's a plus! Besides if it was a crush, it would have faded a lot time ago! So he definitely had to like code in that way.

Oh he's so excited about the date, he almost can't wait, but he had to wait a little while before he asks code, it has to be nighttime when they do the date, it is worth the wait. Ink thought to himself and glanced around, blinking with a confused look...where is code...?

He usually sends him a text message if he was going out to hang with his friends or something...

Ink checked his phone and frowned, yeah, no text message was sent by code yet...

Maybe he's asleep? Code sleeps in very interesting spots and places a lot of time, as if he wasn't caught sleeping on something as hard as bricks, he still has no idea where code got those bricks from.

Ink put his phone in his pocket and started walking around to look for code, Hmm he doesn't find him in the usual spots, he'll have to look at the uncomfortable spots or the most unique spots.

After all, he's found code in all sorts of spots since code started living with him.

He'll find him, and maybe it will even be around the time he'll ask code out! Oh how exciting! Ink thought to himself, skipping now at the thought.

Ink started looking, ok, not in codes bed, which usually has half its blankets hanging off the bed, ink turned and went to the other usual spot, ok, not in his hammock, the next spot ink looked was code hanging swing, which he sometimes catches code asleep on, hanging onto it with one leg or both while he's upside down.

It had been funny, so of course he took pictures and some videos, of course he has no idea how code manages to keep hanging on despite being asleep and hanging upside down.

Ink looked in the next spot, which was on one of the islands that was in the doodle sphere, nope, not there either.

Ink started looking in the uncomfortable spots now, not on the brick bed that code made and somehow manages to sleep on, not on the uncomfortable Matt's ink found code sleeping on once while curled up like a cat.

Not on top of the fridge, why'd he even check this when he was here earlier so of course he would have noticed if code was sleeping on the fridge again somehow, not under the bed, not in hand made giant puppet code made a long while back, meaning he wasn't inside it somehow again or on top of it, not on top of the fire place ink made a while back when code grumbled about it being cold for some reason, definitely not in a box.

Nor was code in the tub he had first made when he wanted to take a bath, yes, he's caught code sleeping in the tub or the hot tub before, with or without water.

Ink pouted, he doesn't know where else to look in the doodle sphere..maybe code did actually leave to visit his friends and forgot to message him that he'll be out.

Ink kept a pout on his face and went and sat on his bean bag, sulking a little bit, he'll wait.

"Ink?" Ink jumped at codes voice being unexpectedly next to him before turning eyes wide at code, of course, he should have checked the bean bag areas...

"What we're you doing?" Code looked a bit confused but also had a small blush on his face from how close ink was next to him.

"Looking for you! I had fun looking around but I thought you were hanging out with some of your friends?" Ink smiled at code who blinked a few times while he finished up with his knitting.

"Oh, ok then..." code responded back, the blush on his face deepen in color a little bit before it faded away as code relaxed.

Ink checks the time and perked up, that took forever, but long enough for him to ask code out!

Ink looked up and opened his mouth and paused when he saw codes mouth opened up to say something to.

They both stopped as they realized the other was going to say something.

"You go first." Code told ink who shook his head for a no, code was going to say something and ink didn't want code to forget what it was after ink asked code out.

"No, no, it's fine, you go first." Ink reassures code who hesitantly nodded at that.

Code opened his mouth and then closed it, looking hesitate and then stubborn.

"Go out on a date with me." Code asked ink, whose eye sockets widen a little bit, not expecting code to ask him out when ink wanted to ask him out.

"I was about to say the same thing! Don't tell me you already planned the first date out like I did?" Ink pouted a little while code blushed at that, eyes wide at ink.

Ink wanted to ask code out too? This definitely caught code off guard, he didn't think ink even noticed about his feelings for ink in the first place..he was also expecting some form of rejection due to ink not knowing if he felt the same. But that means he felt the same as code did if he asked code out first...

Code blushed a bit more, a bit embarrassed but also delighted.

Ink just gave code a smile, "sooo I already had everything's set up earlier...if you haven't planned anything out yet we can go and do my date idea first unless you want to do yours first?"

"Err no..I didn't plan anything out yet..I wasn't sure if you would accept in the first place." Code rubbed the back of his head a little bit.

Ink just smiled happily, "ok! Let's get going, I just need to go grab something real quick."

Ink got up and headed over to grab the basket of food and headed back to code, offering his hand to code who accepted it and got up before ink teleported the two.

Scene that I wanted to so-

"Go on a date with me." Both of them asked at the same time only to pause and stare wide eyes at each other with shock.

They had both been thinking about the same thing.

"Wh-what? You wanted to go out with me too?" Code asked surprised, not expecting ink to ask him out too on the same day at the same time.

Ink just stared a little surprised, "yep, wasn't expecting us both to ask at the same time though."

They both stared at each other still a little surprised before both accepted the date with each other.
