Hook slowly moved to open the door, I snatched up a loose brick from the floor of the tomb. He crept forward his sword held steady in his strong arms.

The door opened outward and we came face to face with a fleet of faeries. The sacred fire hissed as they doused it, leaving them free to enter the tomb without harm.

Out exit from the tomb had not gone unnoticed however, the sharp eye of a leggy blond Faerie caught us.

"Hook." The Faerie snarled.

Hook cocked his head to the side. "Tinkerbell. It's been a long time... but not nearly long enough."

"I'd rather hoped I'd seen the last of you..." She frowned, walking closer to us.

"The feeling is mutual, you miserly wench"

"And who is this? Surely not the Mythical Belle? My you're ever so much uglier than Peter described."

"Says the slave to the Princess." Hook scoffed.

Tinkerbell's pupils narrowed to pinpricks, she hissed, showing her needle-like teeth. "Kill them both."

The Faeries surrounded us from all sides. Hook stood protectively in front of me.

"Back you heathens!" He growled, swinging his sword.

The fairies pulled out their daggers and glared at us menacingly.

Tinkerbell chuckled madly, shook her wings and turned to walk away. When the brick I threw hit her head.

She barely flinched. She spun on her heel and flew over Hook and at me, knocking me back into a pillar. The bowl on top of the pillar knocked over and covered both of us in white power. Tinkerbell screamed in agony and stood shaking the salt off of her gossamer wings.

The salt had burned her skin and singed her wings. She let out a demonic shriek and launched at me. I grabbed a handful of the salt and flung it at her face.

"I'll kill you." She seethed.

"I'd rethink that position if I were you!" A voice growled.

And out of the darkness two figures became visible.

Everard's sword gleamed in the darkness of the forest.

And behind him, his ever faithful dog's red eyes cast a hellish glow on Tink's horrified face.

I heard some footsteps and looked behind them to see the rest of Hook's crew. The swords in their hands shone.

Tink recovered her brevity and scowled once again. "This isn't finished... Hook." She tossed over her shoulder.

And then before my eyes, Tinkerbell shrunk down to the size of an acorn. And flew away.

The rest of the faeries followed her swiftly.

"Well that was certainly dramatic." I laughed, the fear of the moment making me giddy.

Everard stalked over to Hook his eyes darkening.

"Thanks for the assistance." Hook smiled.

His smile disappeared as Everard's hand closed around his throat lifting him up and pinning him to the side of the Tomb.

"Everard no!" I rushed forward pulling on his arm trying to pull him back. Like lightning, his other hand threw me back onto the ground.

"Captain!" One of the pirates shouted. The men surged forward and separated Everard from Hook.

"What the hell Everard?" Hook coughed, his hand resting protectively on his throat

"You could have killed her!" Everard shouted, breaking free of the men's grasp long enough to punch Hook solidly in the face.

" Everard! Control yourself." I shrieked.

The birds flew out of the trees at the sound of my rebuke.

"And you Belle what were you thinking?! You know these woods are dangerous!" Everard stormed.

"Calm down." I said quietly.

"Absolutely not. We're going back to the castle." He spoke, his voice commanding.

"No." I squeaked.

"I beg your pardon?!" He seethed.

I sat up straighter, confidence filling me. "I said no! I'm not going back with you. Not until you apologize!"

The pirates all went deadly silent, staring at us.

Everard's face turned red as he extended his hand to me, "Get up Belle."

I glared at him getting up without his help.

"Everard apologize to Hook." I demanded.

"He should apologize to me!" Everard shouted. I flinched.

Fury filled my voice. "I went with him willingly, it's not like he dragged me into the forest!"

"Well then you should have known better! I don't want to lose you!"

"Look," Hook sighed "I'm sorry mate. I should have known better, this forest is dangerous.."

Everard's chest heaved, he looked over at the cold grey walls of the tomb, blinking back tears. "Yes... It is." Everard shook his head and trudged back angrily to the castle.

"Everard wait!" I worried, walking after him.

Hook's arm grabbed my arm gently. "Let him go Belle... We can try talking to him in the morning. He'll have cooled off by then."

We all walked back to the castle, wordlessly.
