Reclaimed and lost

I walk with Selina, Barbara and Tabitha, we know where we're going. The ice urge lounge, our old club, and the club we're about to take back.
"Ladies." Barbara says in her charming voice holding open the door for us.

Who he out another word we storm the place, Tabitha first chocking out ken of oswalds guys and then... we attack.
Barbara punching men in the face, Seljan wiping them. And me, I shoot them off one by one. Kicking their guts when I need to, I've become quite the fighter, even Barbara had said it.

Sofia walks out from the shadows of the lounge wearing a proud smile.

Barbara comes up behind the last man standing.
"Hello." She says with a bright smile.

We all circle him waiting for instructions.
"Where is Penguin, little man?" Sofia Asks waiting for a response.

"Any day now." Says Barbara kicking the back of his legs. His knees go bucking as he falls to the ground.
" I, I don't know." He says the man husking the floor. Barbara's had enough of being patient.

"Tabby, I believe this is your area of expertise." She says.
Tabitha smiles and drags the man to the back where she process to torture him brutally. I can't barely hear my own voice over the crack of the whip and the screams that follow shortly afterwards.

I sigh and sit down at the bar, "it's weird to be back here, it's feels like it's been ages." I say. Barbara and Selina nod.
"I'm just surprised penguin hasn't come in here guns a blazing yet." Says Selina.

"Oswald may be crazy enough to blow up children, but he's not stupid enough to me show up after we killed all his guys." Barbara says.
I shake my head, "I still can't believe he did that to that boy."

Sofia sighs, "yes, that was...unfortunate."

"It was more than unfortunate, it was
Psychotic." I say.
Barbara rolls her bright blue eyes, "oh get over it, he was just an orphan anyways."
I grunt slightly, "you do realize I'm an organ too, right?" I ask.

Barbara gives me a plain stare, "must have skipped my mind." She s claims giving me a tight smile.
"Mhmmm." I'm not convinced.
"Why do you hate children so much anyways?" I ask, though I don't really know if I want the answer.

"I never said I hated children," Barbara says snidely, "I just don't need that kind of annoyance, procreating is to much of a bother if you ask me."

I let out an annoyed sigh, "didn't you and Selina used to live together or something."
Selina laughs thinking back on the time, but Barbara doesn't seem super amused.

"Oh that was ages ago, and besides Selina was more of an - out door pet, she roamed around, less trouble if you ask me." Says Barbara casually. Selina nods along.

"Yeah and it was going great until you decided to go crazy and kill your parents." Selina says defensively.
"Oh that was hardly my fault." Says Barbara, "and besides if you'd just bothered to find me at that charity ball I'd never have gone home with that guy."

"Wait what?" I ask, I clearly don't know all the details and from the sound of it I don't care too.
We all go silent for a member only getting jolted back at another scream. Apparently Tabitha is doing a very thorough job.

Barbara strolls of to Sofia who's deep in thought, not even mildly disturbed by the screams.

"So...Penguin out building support amongst the gangs. Pretty soon every criminal in Gotham is gonna be hunting us." She says.
Sofia doesn't move her eyes, "he's out building support because we made him look week. We kill him and all the gangs will support me." Sofia says finally turning to face babs.

"I'm still a Falcon." She states like some untitled little child.
I'm actually growing quite annoyed of her reminding us that, it's like every chance she gets she throws it out there.
From the looks of it Barbara's losing her patience as well.
"Yeah, you mentioned that." Barbara says sarcastically, "about a billion times." The amusement draining from her face.

Selina who's tired of their arguing rolls her eyes mockingly. I hide a smile.

"He doesn't know where Penguin is." Tabitha says, coming from the back room with a heavy sigh.
"Uhh." I slump in my seat, more waiting.

Sofia's phone vibrates suddenly.
She sighs angrily, "what?" She ask sharply answering the call.
She silent as she listens, and then: "I'll be right there." She says hanging up.

"Is that about Penguin?" Asks Barbara and all of us are anxious in anticipation.

"No." She says softly.
"Then who was that?" I demand growing quite tired of Sofia's secrecy.
"Come..." she says getting up, "we must go to my fathers mansion, I'll explain on the way."

I look at Tabitha and Barbara who are very exasperated, "I'm sorry what?" Tabitha asks, "can't you at least tell us what we're goi no there for."

Sofia just glares at her, "we don't have time, now her ready and let's go."

I let out an irritated sigh but go to change none the less.
I change into a matching black crop top and pants stealing myself with knives and guns.

Then we drive the Falcon mansion.
By the time we're inside the manor Sofia still hasn't told us anything
"So, are you gonna tell us why we're at your dads house?" Barbara asks in all four of our behaves.

"Why do you think." Says Sofia a bit breathlessly. She stops waking as soon as she sees a man enter, I don't recognize him but I know who he is.
Carmine Falcon - her father, and the ex ruler of Gotham.

Barbara glances at Tabitha who shares a similarly grim expression.

"Sofia." He says placing a kiss on her forehead.
"You look tired." He notes but his eyes are dragged away to gaze at someone else.

"Ms. Kean, it's good to see you again." He says in a cold hard tone.
"Likewise." Says Barbara with an awkward smile,
She leans closer to me and speaks form the side of her mouth.
"So this is weird."
Uhh yeah you could say that again.

"Why are you here father?" Asks Sofia in a dreary and formal tone. Carmine is silent for not more than a moment.
"What did I tell you when you asked to return to Gotham?"

"I know -" Sofia tries to speak but carmine interiors her with a booming voice, "what did I tell you?!" He shouts.
Sofia works her jaw.
"That I wasn't ready." She says.
"Exactly. And you came back anyway."
Sofia's eyes dart to the ground.

"Perhaps I should have acted then." Continues carmine, "but I was indulgent. Curious. Who is this daughter I raised?"

Sofia brings her eyes back up to look her dad in the eyes, "father, Penguin I weak. If you help me we can end this." She pleads.

"I don't want Gotham." He says for the last time.
"I don't believe that. You love this city." Says Sofia.
Carmine nods, "I used to, yes. But I'm dying, Sofia. Someone else can have Gotham. What I care about now is my family."

Dying! wholly plot twist, I definitely didn't see that one coming.

"And I am your family." Sofia tells him, "and I want this, I deserve this. Gotham belongs to me." She declares.
Carmine eyes flicker and he stokes her across the face, Sofia falls on the floor from the blow. Me and Selina exchange and uncomfortable look, this is getting really weird.

Sofia rises, barely daring to look her father in the eyes again.
"Your actions have discarded our family." Says Carmine. "Tell me how sleeping with Jim Gordon, the man who killed your brother, helped reclaim Gotham?"

Whoa-whoa- whoa, what! Jim and Sofia were a thing, I glance anxiously at Barbara wondering how she'll react to this news.
"I'm sorry, what?" Barbara asks like she can fathom it.

They both ignore her.
"I have done many things I will have to answer for. But I always knew the meaning of honour." Carmine spits looking down at his daughter with disgust. "You have proven you do not." He says to a devastated Sofia.

We look up when we here the clunking of a cane in the hall, Penguin emerges at the archway.
"Children..." he says with a smirk, "they can be such disappointments."
Just them I feel someone grab me, he takes Sofia too, holding us at gun point.
Barbara and Tabitha whirl around at our screams. Sofia raised her gun, which carmine strikes away.
"I kill him, and this is over. Please." She begs her father.

Penguin smiles.
"You know why I came when Penguin called?" Carmine asks her, "it's because you were going to lose. If you were anyone but my daughter, you'd be dead right now." He growls.

Barbara looks anxiously between me and Selina who are still being held by Zsasz. There's no way to help.

"Come Sofia," says carmine, "your leaving Gotham. For food this time."
As Sofia is dragged away by her fathers men Zsasz addresses Barbara and tabby.
"Come with me, or I shoot them both." He says with a smile.

Barbara gives him a death glare but she and Tabitha both corporate.

"There goes our way back on top" I say as we watch Sofia from the window. We're all being tied to chairs at this point, me the last.

"Did you ever really think it'd last?" Asks Tabitha.
But Barbara's looking elsewhere, at the act that's raced by the manor.
We watch in terror as a man inside doors both carmine and his men to the ground.
"He's dead." Selina says in horror.
The men holding us captive turn to us, "we gotta go." He says, lunatic then and get them outta here,"
Agreeably where untied and pushed into a large black van. We're handcuffed and have been striped of our weapons, so there's no way out.

When we get to the new location and are tied back up all hells breaks loose. The GCOD arrives and a bloody war behinds.
Our captors shoot out the window at the police in their cars.
Barbara unfazed and extremely bored says, "just let us go. You've obviously got your hands full." She says sarcastically.

One of the men whose had enough of our constant taking turns around.
"Shut up!" He yells.
"Whatever." Says tabby, they'll all be dead in a few minutes."

The man has had enough, "listen you stupid-" he gets shorts on Igor in the back of the head. We watch unimpressed as he falls to the ground, his gun rolls just out of tabithas reach.

Barbara gives her a nod like a silent command. Using her own momentum Tabitha throws herself - still tied to the chair, onto the floor. She rolls over and grabs the gun with her hands tied beguine her.

She takes a shot and misses.
"More left." Advises Barbara.
She misses again.
"She means your left." Me and Selina call to her in unison.
"Then say that." Tabitha says voice seeping with annoyance.
She makes a perfect shot and kills the guy. When the other one realizes what happened he turns around.
"Your left! Your left! Your left!" We all scream at her.
Bam.
He's dead. I let out a long sigh of relief, Barbara smiles.
"Yay,teamwork." she says to Tabitha and our exasperation.
Once we finally manage to wriggle free of our ropes we flee the scene. I e don't want to been anywhere near that building when the GCPD start arresting people.

"We need to find Sofia." Barbara says when we finally get a break from running.
"You don't think she left Gotham?" Asks Tabitha. Barbara shakes her head.
"After carmines death, now way. She'll stick around."

"We should check her orphanage, I bet if she's anywhere it's there." I suggest. Barbara nods and we make our way on foot threw Gotham. I'm really staring miss Barbara's car which we had to abandon.

It nightfall by the time we arrive and too our surprise it's Victor Zsasz who open the door.
"Ms. Kean and associates, Sofia's been expecting you." He says with a half smile. Barbara looks at him silently for a moment.
"You son of a bitch!" She punches his square in the jaw.

After he collects him self Barbara calms down a bit.
"I'll admit it, I deserved that." He says. Barbara just brushes past him and goes it find Sofia.
"I wouldn't mess with her again." I tell him and I stride in by.

Sure enough Sofia is there, in a shell chair but still there none the less.
"Jesus, what happened to you?" I ask eyeing her.
She glares at me,
"What do you think, I got shot." She says sharply. I raise a brow and look at Selina, I can tell where both thinking she deserved it.
"What else is new?" Asks Tabitha sarcastically.

"Well, now that you mention it, I did manage to get Jim Gordon to arrest Penguin."

"What?" Barbara asks in shock.
"How?" Says Selina.
Sofia smiles content my, "it was quite simple really, I just told him about that little orphan boy Penguin blew up and victor helped me with the rest."

I give victor a suspicious look but let her continue.
"Now, if we play our cards right, Gotham is ours."

"So I'm guessing Gordon doesn't know the kids actually alive." Says Zsasz eyeing Sofia.

"Jim Gordon played his part." Says Sofia, "he showed the underworld that Penguin was weak."

"That he did. At the end of the day, he's a Cobblepot. Your a Falcone." Zsasz says extending a hand to Sofia. He kneels down kissing her glowed hand like she's royalty. I can't help but roll my eyes as she glances happily at us.

"Smile ladies," she says, "it's a new day."
And I guess it kinda was, as the next day we got our club back. The sirens, back in business at last. If almost grown to miss this place. But we were to busy to be nostalgic. Tabitha was getting ready to go talk to butch, try and get him to temper his old self. Before his days of Grundy fighting glory. As for Barbara, she was busy making plans for the new club. And quite anxious to "de Penguin it", as she put it. I'll admit I liked her taste and tyke much more than his. So I was looking forward to her having the designer come.

That afternoon I just sat at the bar, taking the whole place in.
Barbara came out from what was once again her office with a smile on her beautiful face.
"So, Sofia was as good as her word. We got our club back." She says.

"Yippee." Tabitha said unenthusiastically, "we get to serve drinks again."
Barbara rolls her eyes and turns to us, "it's just a base of operations." She says, "but I am meeting with the designer master to make it less Penguin-y" she says cheerfully.

I return her smirk. "Well, I for one am happy to be back, not that I didn't live the other place though. It's such a shame Zsasz had to blow it up."
Barbara nods in agreement.

"Have fun." Says Tabitha packing a record in her bag. She's very distant.
"Music to soothe the savage beast?" Asks Barbara and we all know she's referring to Grundy.
"Something like that." She says walking out. I feel the sadness in her eyes radiating around her.
I frown as tabby leaves, I hope she manages to get butch to remember her.

"Well she seemed excited." I say sarcastically to Barbara. She glares at me, "she's just on edge, she'll be back to normal once she gets that zombie boyfriend of hers back." She says, I'm not sure if she's trying to convince me or herself.

"I guess your right," I say.
"Obviously." Barbara days as though she could never be wrong.

I roll my eyes chowing to ignore the comment. "Where's Selina?" I ask when I realize she's not around." Barbara just shrugs.
"Oh she's probably of robbing some." She says pouring herself a martini. She's probably right.

"So do I get any say on how you design the place? I mean I am technically one of the owners now."
Barbara smiles sadistically.
"You might own a fourth of the club, but I still get to make the inept at decisions. And besides I have much better taste than you,Tabitha and Selina combined."
She probably right.

"Alright fine, but at least don't kick me out when the designers here."
Barbara let's put a tiered sigh.
"Fine, you can stay, but no untrusting me while I'm with the designer and no ideas, I now exactly how I'm going to design the place."

"Okay, okay... I won't interrupt." I promise.

"Oh and later this week we need to find a way to lure people back to the club, like a advertisement or something."

"We could always make a short commercial." I suggest. Barbara's eye slight up, "that's not a half bad idea." She says.
Barbara leaves me and goes into her office, I think she's planing her designs or something.
It doesn't matter, I'm just happy to be back. I had some really terrible times in this club, but at the same time moving to Gotham was the best move I made since my parents death. And without realizing it, Barbara had saved me. Given me a home, a purpose and friends. If it wasn't for her I'd never have met Selina or tabby. She'd given me a family. And I would forever be great full for that. For dulling some of my lasting pain. And maybe she had been crazy and evil but I knew her well enough to know that Barbara want so black and white. She was good and bad, cruel, cunning, sadistic but also intelligent, and strong, and brave, and I knew deep down that she'd do anything for Tabitha or me, anything for us. And for that I'd stick by her side...I would be someone she could count on, because I knew I could count on her.

Okay so this is part 11 I think anyways last chapter was better but oh well, also I love that outfit
