New friends and Herta's Space Station #2

((AN: Can't fricking believe Dr. Ratio is free, can't wait for 1.6 now. I think we will get him at his banner phase since it won't make sense if he dropped earlier without his character demo out. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this and I'm sorry again if there's gramatical errors. Sorry if the fighting scenes feels amateurish, it's my first time writing fight scenes.))

Vesper taps it's robotic fingers on the desk in rhythm. Waiting for the video to be ready. Vesper encountered this type of situations so many times. It's always that damned 9% that took around thirty minutes to finish.

The robot can hear the laughter and snickers of the shipgirls. Talking about what stupidity their commander did. Ah well, at least that preoccupied their attentions.

One thing for certain, Vesper is always patient. As a robot that was created by the Aeon of Erudition- it learned so much about why patience is always key. Though sometimes the robot can't say the same to some of the Genius Society members.

97%

Would you look at that? Vesper has been wondering for too long that it almost forgot the viewing is almost ready. The thing is, even though the robot is patient, Vesper will quickly become bored if there is nothing to do while waiting for the loading.

Luckily, it didn't have to wait that long.

"Ladies, please be quiet, the viewing is about to start." Vesper called out.

As soon as everyone is looking at the screen again. Vesper started their next viewing.

Beating enemies left and right, those who stand in their way didn't even have a chance. Though, Caelus had a random thought that keeps annoying him... Are they fighting cannon fodders?

"Clearly something is amiss here." Z23 pointed out.

"Is that it? We've reached the elevator already? That wasn't too many monsters~" March 7th huffed, well she's not wrong, they are closer to the elevator without too much resistance.

"Oof, probably shouldn't have said that... Might bring bad luck." She scratched the back of her head sheepishly as she realised what she said.

Dan Heng sighed. "You've grown, March."

Suddenly, a projectile makes its way at fast speed towards them. Dan Heng moved forward and swiftly blocks it and the kick that came after.

The cause of the attack? Is an armored being that looked like some kind of centaur, a big one that is blocking their way.

"Okay what the hell is that?" Hipper's eyes widens.

"One of the Legion's... War creatures." Vesper answered. "Voidranger: Trampler. They are made from the remnants of fallen warriors and Leviathans."

"Now that sounds unfair for Caelus and his companions." Javelin sighed.

As it was about to charge towards them. March quickly fire and arrow to it's head, though it immediately block it, it's enough to give Caelus and Dan Heng the time to immediately launch an offensive.

The battle was a long one, that drained their staminas. Just as the group thought that their enemy is about to give up, it let out a roar that immediately calls upon reinforcements.

"Definitely unfair." Cleveland narrows her eyes.

"Hey, sore losers!" The pink haired girl shouted. "You can't just gang up on us!"

Suddenly, a drone cuts it's way through the enemies reinforcements and cut the centaur-like creature's left antenna, which makes the creature limp to the ground.

"That's... One dangerous drone." Bismarck whistled. Her eyes examines the drone on the screen.

"I agree." Roon nodded. "If we have the means to create such strong drones like this one, our battle against the Sirens won't be that hard."

"Go!" Dan Heng ordered. The group take this chance as they rushed towards the elevator and left the area. If it weren't for that drone, who knows what will happen?

As they reach the Master Control Zone. The group met a woman whom Caelus is unfamiliar with. "Why does it always have to get this exciting? Anyway, atleast you're back." She smiled.

"Okay she's pretty." Horner blushed.

"Everyone we see is pretty and handsome." Warspite huffed. She's feeling something weird in her chest.

"At any rate, I feel that we might not stand a chance at Shikikan's romantic life..." Akagi sighed, before looking determined. "Not that I will allow anyone to take him from me." She whispered.

"March, Dan Heng, you've been through alot." She commented.

"Whew, Himeko~ what took you so long! That last wave of Antimatter Legion came at us like a swarm of locusts, have you ever tried shooting locusts with a bow?" March complained.

"I wouldn't have made a difference. My orbital cannon can deal with a whole bunch of enemies at once, but I couldn't just blow up the space station with it - Herta would NOT like that..." The woman now identified as Himeko replied before turning her attention to Arlan. "Are you alright, Arlan? Asta's been worried about you."

"I'm fine, a quick patching up will do." Arlan tried to brush off her worries. "Thanks for asking, I'll report the situation to Lead Researcher Asta immediately. Bye."

After Arlan left, Himeko's attention turns to the Astral Express's new company. "Hey, nice to meet you. I'm Himeko, navigator of the Astral Express." She introduced herself.

"In other words, she's in charge of where the Express goes." March added.

"March hasn't been any trouble for you along the way, has she?" Himeko teased.

The girl in question look at Caelus. "Caelus, think carefully about how you wanna reply to that."

"He's already been held at a gunpoint." Z23 giggled.

"I've never met a more lively girl in my life." Is his reply, he's not wrong, probably in his entire lifetime of who knows what. March 7th by far is the most lively girl he had ever met.

She looked happy at that reply. "Well, that's the Joy of youth! We should take every step forward full of energy! He's a discerning one, isn't he, Dan Heng?"

"I have the right to remain silent." Dan Heng said while his arms were crossed.

"I think I would say the same if I were him." Belfast nodded.

"Haha, look at you all, you've already gotten really close." The Astral Express navigator giggled. She knew these three are going to be inseparable. "Come on, Asta has been worried about all of you."

She then lead the three to the bridge, where they see a pink haired young woman. She wears a collared white shirt with loose, detached sleeves and ruffles, a black bowtie, and a black skirt with gold accents covered with a ruffled purple overcoat. With an unzipped pink and white colored jacket with numerous buckled belts of varying colors around her waist.

"Damn it..." Roon and Akagi's thought as their eyes twitched. now they're looking at someone pretty and cute at the same time.

"So she's the lead researcher huh? Well, she do look like one." Enterprise cross her arms.

"Projectile radar tracking, normal. Telemetry signal frequency unusually high! Maintain at normal levels!" She instructed her colleagues. "Our measurements predict that the Legion is about to unleash over ten waves of continuous attacks. Everyone, brace yourselves!"

"Asta, we're back!" March called her.

The girl turns around with a sigh of relief, before offering them a smile. "Whew, I'm glad you're all back safe. Arlan just told me about the situation at the storage zone - and about his injury... Thank you, for all your help."

"In times of disaster, I realize more and more that the space station's researchers are its most valuable assets... Alas, we were ill-prepared for such emergencues... We should have built up our security and combat departments." She said, her tone is full of regret.

"On the other hand, the entire crew of the Astral Express seems to be extraordinarily skilled." She complimented them.

"What is the current situation on the space station?" Dan Heng asked.

Asta turned to look to her side before looking at the crew again. "The situation is under control for now. The damage to our security system was minor. The intruder only managed to alter a small amount of data, so it was easy to fix."

"The real problem lies with the researchers..." She explains. "They trust Madam Herta wholeheartedly and never thought that the space station would be breached by the Legion. A broken spirit is far worse than a broken body.

"I agree, low spirits and motivations means their job can't be done." Queen Elizabeth nods in agreement. That reminds her of some of the moments where Caelus cheers them up in his own way. That really helps their morale.

The other shipgirls shares the same line of thought as her.

"Let's go speak with the researchers." Himeko suggested. "Right now, the space station can't afford any more unexpected turns, especially from within. Have you tried contacting Herta?"

"I sent multiple letters, all met with silence." Asta looked dissapointed at that. "You know her, Himeko, the space station is but a mere warehouse for followers and rare items. She doesn't really care about it."

"Ugh, it seems she's that arrogant type of scientist." Cleveland huffed.

"I knew it... No matter. I'll also send a letter to Herta and tell her that we've brought the rare item she seeks. At least that might get her attention." Himeko said.

"That would be of great help." Asta smiled in relief.

The Astral Express crew went on to talk with the researchers in the area. While also trying to lift their spirits up. When they are finished, they return back to where Asta and Himeko are at the bridge.

But before they can even talk with Asta- immediately, alerts started popping at the screen. Which makes everyone worried and are on high alert, it seems their peace was short-lived when a giant clawed hand are trying to force it's way to enter.

"That thing is huge!" Ayanami' eyes widened.

"It's a fricking dragon too..." Prinz Eugen frowned.

"Take the Express and leave." Asta told Himeko. "I'll stay."

"But..." March 7th trailed off. She doesn't like that idea very much.

Without wasting too much time, Himeko grabbed Caelus's shoulder and drags him. "Let's go." The screen then turns dark.

"The supply zone's defense shield won't hold much longer. You all need to hurry." Asta's voice was heard with statics. "I'll be here, you've got to find them off..."

"You... hurry..."

The screen turns back on as the crew is now on a different area of the space station.

"... We lost communications." Himeko stated as the voice was no longer available.

"Are Asta and the others okay..?" Javelin whispered.

"Don't worry, I'm sure they are." Belfast gives her a comforting pat on the shoulder.

"Are you thinking of going back? Let me remind you, that's the Doomsday Beast, the Legion's planet destroyer." Dan Heng told her.

"This is getting ridiculous, first a centaur creature and now a planet destroyer?" Kaga sounded slightly annoyed. "They can't get a rest, can they?"

"The space station is Herta's creation. As long as a Lord Ravager doesn't intervene, there should be no problems." Himeko replied.

"B-but we can't just run away like this, right..." March sounds worried.

"The Doomsday Beast can rip off the defense shield like tearing paper - and Herta's not here. The station's defenses are too weak to stand against the Antimatter Legion." Dan Heng explains. "Either way, the Legion has the blessing of the Aeon, Nanook. They came prepared and everyone here is not."

"That's why we have to leave and take Caelus with us." Himeko told them while gazing at the person in question, who looked confused.

"Huh?" Was Caelus's thought. "Me?"

"He sounds cute when he's confused." Prinz Eugen giggled. Roon and the others nodded at that.

"And we love him for that." Akagi smiled fondly.

It's not just him who are confused, his other two companions are too. "Caelus?" Dan Heng looked at Caelus as he wondered why she want to take him with them. "He's... That important?"

Caelus looks slightly nervous at the attention everyone was giving him now.

"Huh, he doesn't really care if he's the center of the attentions. I guess we're watching him at where he isn't uses to it." Ayanami commented.

"He's the one who can help us turn the tides... Of course, I may be wrong." The navigator said. Caelus gotten even more confused by her statement.

"That Stellaron in his body probably going to help them." Z23 stated. "Hopefully."

Dan Heng sighed. "... As you say so. Alright, what should we do next?"

"This is the supply zone where the maintenance crew works. There's a path here that leads to the nearest railway platform. Let's head over there and meet up with Welt." She explains.

Their bubbly pink haired companion perks up at that. "Mr. Yang? Mr. Yang's here too? Didn't he stay on the Express?"

"How many people are there in the Astral Express?" Warspite questioned.

"Back then, I would say quite alot." Vesper replied. "As to how there's only a few now... You'll understand when the viewings progressed."

"Something bad must've happen then." Bismarck cupped her chin. Little did she know that she's not wrong, and there's also an incident involving a certain Aeon who played Among Us in the Astral Express before...

"The Astral Express tracks our coordinated in real time... And with such a change in the space station's movements, there's no way Mr. Yang wouldn't have noticed." Dan Heng cross his arms.

"Mhm, I can almost guarantee that your Mr. Yang is already on his way." Himeko smiled.

"Right now, we might be able to handle things if it's just the Doomsday Beast. But, of the Destruction's Emanator were to appear..." She trailed off, letting the words hangs in the air.

"I still feel that things won't be going as planned." Caelus voiced his concern.

"Let's hurry up and get out of here. I'll explain later." Himeko told them.

After eliminating more enemies, they finally almost make it to safety and the group sighed in relief. But unfortunately... The Astral Express are not visible at the platform, and to make it more worse, something doesn't want them to leave.

"Wait, March!" Dan Heng shouted. March stopped on her tracks to look at him. "Huh?"

Just then, a giant flying silhouette went past her. The group looked in shock and worries as they see what is following them. The giant flying creature looked like a very modified and futuristic dragon.

"To be honest that thing looks majestic." Queen Elizabeth commented.

"It'll be even more majestic when it's no longer alive." Roon smirked.

"The Doomsday Beast..." Himeko narrowed her eyes. "It's really here."

"Hey! Get down here!" March aims her bow at the Doomsday Beast. As if listening to her, it fly towards them and lands on the edge of the platform as everyone readies their weapons.

"Now this is gonna get very intense." Akagi leaned forward from her seat. The others can't help but agree, they also wonder how will this play out and why Caelus are going to be important later.

"Careful everyone!" Himeko told them as the beast lets out a roar.

The battle started as the beast swiped it's claw at them, prompting them to dodge. The beast then tried to smash Caelus with it's other hand, but it missed as he rolled to his side and launched an attack to the beast's hand.

He was covered by March who shot arrows from a distance not too far. Dan Heng and Himeko launched a offensive at the other hand, damaging it as the beast roared in pain.

It doesn't like that at all as the core shines brightly and electricity started to connect with it's right hand. It then launches a swipe against the crew. Caelus almost got hit as the beast's claw was inches away from his face, which he luckily dodges.

"It can also empower it's hands... It would come in handy for us if we have the time to improve our technology." Enterprise said.

"I agree, if we can enhance our powers in the middle of a fight whenever we want, surely it will help us efficiently." Kaga nods.

"Check out this awesome move!" March jumped and shot a special arrow, that breaks in mid air into small cute figures that explodes upon contact with the beast. Freezing it's left hand.

"Well, that's quite handy." Caelus thought, not noticing how he accidentally made a pun as he flipped backwards to avoid another attack from the beast's right hand. A drone flew past his head as it slashed the Doomsday Beast's core, making it more angrier.

"I was about to say that..." Javelin scratched her cheek.

"I'm afraid his humour is getting into you." Prinz Eugen chuckled.

Dan Heng charges at the beast and dodges consecutive attacks from it's right hand and stabbed it's hand. Followed by Himeko who cuts off it's hand.

As it cried out in pain. Himeko looked at Caelus. "Now!"

He lifted his bat infront of him. "Rules... Are made to be broken!" He shouted, charging at the creature's core while holding his enhanced bat. Rushing towards the beast as he leaped and smash the core. Hard. Forcing the beast to be downed.

"Sheesh, that sounds hot." Akagi blushed.

"I wonder when will he said that to me..." Roon blushed even harder as she started to get drowned in her own fantasy.

Hipper and Bismarck can only sigh in annoyance at their behavior.

"This sanctuary... Is but a vision!" Dan Heng jumped, aiming his spear at the head of the Doomsday Beast. "Break!"

The beast let out another cry of pain as it rises and roars angrily. It flied and launches laser barrages to the group. They immediately dodges the attack before launching another counter offense.

"I'll admit, those lasers can possibly wipe out an entire army or even a city with ease." Warspite whistled.

"Caelus and his companions is also pretty agile." Ayanami said.

The fight went on for a couple of minutes, it's a hard battle with the beast just keep increasing the aggresion of it's assault. But finally, they finally put the beast down for good...

But suddenly, the head of the Doomsday Beast glows and shot a laser beam as it aimed at March as the unlucky target, who looked afraid.

"Run!" Javelin shouted.

Everyone hold their breaths as they watch the screen intensely.

Just as it was about to hit her, Caelus steps and tried to block it with just his body. That somehow blocks the laser attack as the screen goes white.

"Since when did he got a barrier?" Belfast's eyes widened.

"It must've been the work of the Stellaron..." Hornet leans forward.

As the light stopped, there is no more beast, but a what seems to be a giant golden cut as Caelus's body slowly floats towards it.

"I must leave now."

"What happened..." He questioned in his thoughts when he open his eyes. All he saw is a giant silhouette towering over him, the being has a cut on it's chest. A wave of power and light rushes out of the unknown being.

"What's going on? And why is he floating towards Nanook?" Enterprise said in concern.

"You must see the end of your story." A voice in his head said.

Caelus's chest started to glow bright slowly. But that is not his concern. "...Who is that?"

"Reach the end of the story in your own way."

Suddenly, memories flashed before his eyes. Some that he recognised, the beginning of his awakening, and there are those he do not remember, that is new to him.

His eyes opens in shock- "See." - more and more unknown memories entered his head, making his head hurts.

"Are we seeing his past..? No, or is it the future?" Kaga sounded confused.

"They have already noticed you."

Then, the eyes of the giant being- no, Aeon, that towers over him opened, gazing down upon him and the chest of the Aeon glows bright.

The scene returns back to Caelus who are blocking the laser. He slowly bring his hand close to his chest as he feels pain.

"This isn't good..." Cleveland muttered. Looking at their Commander that is now in pain as he tried to hold the laser attack.

As the glow within him get brighter and brighter, he threw his head back as his back arched and screamed. The light on his body glows brighter, effectively repelling the laser and eliminating the Doomsday Beast.

Caelus started to float as the light in his body threatens to consume him and everyone. But just as it's about to unleash, Caelus's forehead is poked by a cane. Immediately pushing him out of this dangerous state.

Everyone finally sighed in relief as the dangerous light from Caelus chest stopped. They are now wondering who is the person that saved him.

The one responsible to save him is a man who wore a glasses. He has a brown hair with white streaks with a gray and white dress coat and dark brown pants.

"Fuck he's hot..." Kaga whispered. Trying her best not to blush.

"He saved Commander with just a cane?" Javelin questioned.

"He must've been stronger than he looks." Bismarck nodded.

"He saved our Commander, sure, but why is he hot?" Hornet blushed.

Enterprise and a few other facepalmed. "Damn it, Hornet." Enterprise grumbled.

March rushes and catches Caelus as if he's a fragile being. Her eyes are filled with worry. "Mr. Yang! Is he..."

"I wish it's me who catches him..." Roon muttered in jealousy.

"He's okay now." The man reassured, Caelus's eyes is struggling to open as he tried to maintain his consciousness. "Let's talk somewhere else." The man turned around and walked away.

"That's it for now, the next viewing will start again in a few minutes. For now, take your time in discussion." The robot said before it teleports away. Leaving everyone in their own thoughts.

"You know..." Belfast started slowly, her eyes still focused on the screen that is no longer active. "... I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Hornet."

"God damn it." Enterprise sighed in frustration. She know that person- Welt, right? Is hot and all but can her friends just focus on Caelus's well being instead?

Roon giggled at her reaction before patting her shoulder. "Don't worry, let them have their own moments for now~"
