"Who are you anyways?" You said. "I'm Ink! The Protector of AUs! You kinda look like Dream. Are you related to him?" Ink asked. "Yeah I am, I'm the Protector of the Galaxy, I navigate dreams safely." You said smiling softly.

"Does Dream know I'm alive?" You asked. "Yeah he does! He's right here." Ink said pointing to Dream. "Y/N is that you?" Dream asked his eyes widen.

"Yeah it's me!" You said beaming brightly as you ran And hugged him. "What happened how much did I miss?" You asked.

"Well... there's a war going on. Nightmare tipped the balance and destroyed our home. I'm sorry." Said Dream in guilt. You felt sympathy. He felt like since he's the Protector of Dreams. All of the stress should be downed upon him.

You hugged him. "It's not your fault. We'll make this right, with Ink." You said as Ink gave a sad nod. "Nightmare is gonna come in here to battle us. The AUs are evacuated." Said Ink.

"Maybe you could get to him." You turned to Dream in shock. "Me?" You said in disbelief. "You share a close bond with him that no one ever did. Nightmare loved you because you were there. I wasn't because I couldn't. Its different between you and me. But I know you can get to him." Said Dream.

"No." You said. Dream was shocked. So was Ink. "I don't deserve to face Nightmare. I wasn't always there. I wasn't there to protect him. I can't face him out there." You said looking away.

"But there is a another way, do you want to hear it?" Ink asked. You looked and nodded. Dream's eyes were full of tears.

"Ok but... this requires a sacrifice." Said Ink. You nodded slowly.

As Ink did the procedure. And the whole plan with Y/N.

"I'm sorry." Dream mumbled with eyesockets full of yellowish tears.
