Blue x Princess Reader

Requested by KayMay26. I really, really need to learn to stop procrastinating.

Blue's P.O.V

"Ink do you really think this will work," I asked while him, Dream and I stood outside of a large blue castle.

"Of course, if we explain that Nightmare could be a threat to their kingdom, I'm sure they'll be on board," he explained before knocking on the large door.

A guard in a gunmetal blue suit answered. "We are here to speak with King (d/n)," he said calmly. The guard nodded slightly and stepped aside for us to walk in.

The halls of the castle were blue as well and had a blue rug across the floor that resembled flowing water. The guard led us to a pair of large royal blue doors.

He then walked in and addressed the king. He had a large royal throne with a another throne beside it, for the queen most likely. And in-between the two was a slightly smaller sky blue and (f/c) one.

"Your majesty, you have visitors," he said kneeling before the thrones. "Welcome to our kingdom," he greeted as the queen and princess walked into the room.

"This is my wife, Queen (m/n), Queen of the Ocean, and my daughter Princess Y/n, Princess of Water," he introduced the two of them and the queen smiled kindly at us while the princess waved.

The three of us bowed to the women and the king's attention went back to us. "Now, why have you boys come," he asked.

"Well, your majesty we came to ask for an alliance with your kingdom and our allies. There is a team of monsters who could possibly attack your kingdom. We would be honored to fight beside you," Ink explained.

"I see, I appreciate the warning. But just how powerful is this team," the king asked.

"They have the power to destroy universes your majesty. We've dedicated our lives to stopping them, but they're too much for us. We could use your help," I answered.

"Father if I may," the princess asked her father, she then stood up. "You boys are very courageous for your efforts to stop them. Whether my father agrees to the alliance or not. I would be proud to assist you," she said.

"We're honored your highness, are you a warrior of the kingdom," I asked. "I am. Well father, what's your decision," she said turning to her father.

"Well, if my daughter sees a need to assist you, then yes. We would be happy to form an alliance," he answered.

"Thank you your majesty. You as well your highness," Dream thanked. "If you three wouldn't mind, I would like to train with you. And you can give me more information on the enemy," the princess said.

"Of course you can. It would be a good way to prepare for any oncoming attacks as well," Ink responded.

"May I father," she asked and he nodded. "Ok, well, I'll change into my training outfit, excuse me a moment," she said walking back out the room.

A few minutes later she walked back in wearing a blue and (f/c) ombre one-piece that went from her ankles all the way to her neck.

"I'm ready," she said walking to stand beside me. "Goodbye your majesty," Ink said to the king and queen before teleporting away, Dream following. Leaving me to bring the princess.

We all met back in the Doodle Sphere. "So, who exactly is the team planning to attack my kingdom," she asked.

"Well, the leader is Dream's brother," I said. "Ok, but which one of them is Dream," she asked.

"Oh right sorry. Dream is the one wearing gold, the other is Ink. I'm Blue," I explained. "Well nice to meet you Blue," she said kindly. "Nice to meet you too."

"Anyway, like I said the leader is his brother, Nightmare. He has a team of other monsters that are very destructive and dangerous," I explained.

"Well, if they even think about attacking my home they're in for it," she said confidently. "Has your kingdom been attacked before,"I asked.

"No, surrounding kingdoms are too afraid to," she said. "You see, every generation of my family has magic passed down from our first ancestors. We have the ability to control water and even morph into a magical creature," she explained.

"Really, what kind of creature," I asked. "Stand back," she said before a cloud of smoke began swirling around her.

Once the smoke cleared, instead of her, there was a large blue serpent with (f/c) glowing eyes towering above me.

"That is so cool," Ink yelled from behind me. And as soon as she changed, she had gone back to normal.

"I'm also trained in physical combat too. My best friend growing up is head of the royal guard," she said.

"Lucky them. That's been my dream since I was little. I've been training for years," I said. "Well, ya know. If it doesn't work out there, I could always use a personal guard," she said.

"Really!? Thank you your highness," I said excitedly. "Please call me Y/n," she said.

"Thank you Y/n."

Once we began training we saw that we could actually learn stuff from her. She really was a warrior. Over the next few months we found proof that Nightmare was planning to attack her home.

She warned her father and had her royal army in formation prepared to fight.

Her and I stood at the front of the army preparing their arrival. "Blue, if this doesn't go as hoped. I loved training with you," she said sadly. "Don't say that, we'll be fine," I said trying to build her confidence.

Seconds later Nightmare and his crew arrived, they didn't attack but seemed to be waiting for the perfect moment. "Leave now. Anything you do that harm my kingdom or people will begin a battle that you cannot win," she said angrily.

"You think your human army can stand up to us," he said stepping forward. "Take one more step and you've agreed to war. Leave or pay the price," she growled.

Instead of stepping forwards, he teleported in front of us and wrapped a tentacle around her throat.

I quickly sent multiple bone attacks through the appendage and he released her. All while this was going on her men began attacking Nightmare's.

"You ok," I asked picking her back up while Dream and Ink teleported over to distract Nightmare. "Yeah, now come on. We've got a battle to win," she said pulling out her sword and joining the fight.

While she was fighting Error I went after Dust. During the fight Y/n got wrapped in strings and was having trouble getting loose. I tried to get away from Dust to go free her but he kicked me down.

He swung at me with his knife missing any lethal areas but still cutting me. I looked back over to where Y/n was and she was free and overpowering Error.

Once she saw me on the ground she threw Error on the ground and ran over to me. Once she was over there she morphed into the serpent and hooked Dust with her fangs and flung him away.

For the next few minutes she was circling around me, defending me from any other attacks.

In the end, Nightmare surrendered for now. She went back to her human form and knelt down beside me.

"Blue! Are you alright," she asked. I tried sitting up but apparently Dust had done more damage than I had thought.

"Ink, Dream! Help me get him to my room," she yelled getting Ink to teleport us to her room. I was put on her bed while she scrambled to find some medical supplies.

"I don't know a lot about skeletons but I'm gonna get you bandaged up, ok," she said pulling some disinfectant out of a box.

Once she was through with my injuries she insisted I stay with her for a little bit so I could rest. "Thank you Y/n. I don't think Nightmare will be back anytime soon," I said while looking at the bandages on my left arm.

"Probably not. But that one that attacked you better not show his face again," she said angrily. "I think after you threw him like he was a pebble he won't."

"Sorry I couldn't fight longer," I apologized. "Hey, no don't be sorry. We won this time, that's what matters now," she said sitting down at the foot of the bed.

"You did your best Blue, that's what a good royal guard does," she said sweetly. "That's what Alphys always told me," I responded.

"About your offer that first day we met, about me being your personal guard. Is that position still open," I asked.

"Of course it is Blue. I've been hoping you'd say yes. Being around you is probably the most fun I've ever had," she said happily, sliding further up on the bed.

"Well your highness, you'll be seeing a lot more of me," I said making her giggle. "Right you are Sir Blue," she responded.

"Seriously though, I know I'll be safe with you protecting me," she said kindly. "Kinda ironic since you just saved my life."

"Well, I guess we'll be each other's guards, huh," she said. I nodded. I looked down at my hand not even realizing that I was holding hers.

"So, uh. I have a question," I said making her cock her head to the side cutely.

"Are...are there any rules saying that a guard can't date a...member of royalty," I asked hesitantly.

"Are you implying what I think you are," she asked with her eyes wide. "If you are implying that...I love you, then y-yes."

"Blue, I love you too," she responded hugging me gently, careful of my injuries," and no there's no rules against it."

"Yet one day you may go from guard to prince," she said lovingly. "Well every prince needs a princess, right," I said as she pulled away from the hug.

She giggled and stood up. "You get some rest Blue, I'll be back in a bit," she said turning around. I grabbed her wrist before she was out of reach.

"Could, you maybe...lay here with me for a bit. It's been a long day, you deserve some rest too," I said. "Alright but not too long. I need to get you something to eat soon," she said walking to the opposite side of the bed.

She laid down and cuddled up to my side, I used my, luckily less injured, arm to pull her closer.

"I love you Blue," she said sleepily. I shifted so I could kiss her forehead.

"I love you more Princess."
