Attack on Titan: The Rules of Nature (Male Raiden! Reader x Mikasa Ackerman)

Part 33

The rocks soon hit, ripping through the horses and Scouts, including Erwin. A rock went through his torso and a small breath of his air came out of his mouth. Soon after, he and his horse fell to the side, tumbling to the ground.  Marlo and Floch watched in horror as they continued riding forward to their deaths.

Floch:"The commander!"

Marlo:"Don't look back! Move forward!!"

All of the recruits cried even louder and advanced while preparing another smoke round. The Beast Titan watched this and picks up another boulder.

Beast Titan:"How sad...They haven't learned a thing from the mistakes of their past...It's a tragedy that King Reiss took the memories of the world away from them. Because of that, they make the same mistakes over and over again. I'm sure that by the end, they'll be sending every person inside those Walls off on a suicide charge, from their elders to their children. They'll go on saying that if they're going to die anyway, they might as well die a proud death. It only proves how unimaginative and set in their ways they are. The little fools..."

His anger slightly grew and his hand crushed the boulder hard enough to turn it into dust.

Beast Titan:"Oops. I crushed it into dust. Heh...What am I doing? *grabs another boulder and crushes it* What're you getting so worked up for? You're not like your father, remember? You need to find joy in every little thing. Now let's turn those soldiers into proud little chunks of meat!"

He readies another pitch and the recruits gasped as they saw this but nonetheless, they all kept moving forward. All of them were ready to accept their deaths.

Marlo:"Second Barrage incoming!!! Fire!!"

All of them simultaneously fired off their signal flares. Marlo panted heavily as all of them kept going forward and that is when his eyes were horrified when he sees the Beast Titan starting to begin his next throw.

Marlo's thoughts:*It's coming...So this is where I die. I talked about this myself. *pant* I wonder what Hitch is up to right now...No...I bet she's still asleep..Ah..That must be nice. *pant* It's ridiculous. Why would I think of her...*

The Beast Titan threw the rock pellets at them and Marlo was struck right through the head. Chunks of his flesh was sent flying and his body tumbled down on the ground.

The rest of the recruits were struck as well and all of them tumble to the ground. Seeing this, the Beast Titan threw his arms in the air and lets out a victorious yell.

Beast Titan:"ALRIGHT!!! Game, set, and match!! Hah! Did ya see that?! I used a different throwing technique. I know I wiped you all out now."

But to his surprise and disappointment, a few war cries are heard and there are at least three recruits left advancing towards his location.

Recruit:"Fire!!"

All three recruits raised their flare guns and fired smoke right past the Titan in front of them. The Beast Titan lowered its head and its shocked demeanour completely changed.

Beast Titan:"Lie I said...Do you really think those toys are going to have any effect on me? Do you really think...All that screaming is going to do you any good?!!!!"

The Beast Titan threw another volley, killing the remaining recruits that are left advancing. Their bodies twisted when the rocks hit them and they all fell of their horses, their blood spilled on the cold hard ground.

Zeke:"Oh you poor things..."

The smoke from his sides began to grow thin and once they were thin enough, something manages to catch the corner of the Beast Titan's eye. A dead Titan that was to his right was dead and so was the rest of the Titan.

Beast Titan:"What? My Titans...Have fallen?"

Suddenly, Frank appeared from the smoke and slashes his blade at the Beast Titan's ankle, causing the Beast Titan to let out a roar of pain. Levi also appears from the smoke, his face was bloody and both of his blades are drawn out, ready to cut up the enemy in front of him.

The Beast Titan roared and swung his arm upwards. Levi quickly dodges this and spins down the left arm, slashing it, cutting his left arm into huge chunks. Zeke was left horrified when he suddenly remembers something that Reiner had told him.

Flashback

Zeke:"What? There's two more soldiers I need to be careful of?"

Reiner:"Yes. Aside from Y/N, Captains Levi and Fox are dangerous."

Flashback end

Zeke's thoughts:*Are they....Levi and Fox?"

Fox quickly ran up on the Beast Titan's shoulder, leapt towards his face and slashes his eyes.

Zeke:"What the?! What's happening?! I can't see a thing!! Did they get my eyes?!"

Both Levi and Fox went down and slashes both of his legs, causing the Beast Titan to fall down to the ground.

Zeke:"Huh?! My legs!"

Levi leaps into the air and anchors his hooks at the Beast Titan's nape

Levi:"You looked like you were really enjoying yourself there."

Fox joined at his side and both of them went straight for the nape.

Zeke:"I need to harden! No..I don't have time -"

Levi:"Well, don't let me put a damper on your fun.!"

With both of them filled with rage, the Captains relentlessly cuts the Beast Titan's nape over and over again with much power and strength they have. Zeke screamed in pain and finally, Fox and Levi managed to cut the nape open.

The blonde-haired Titan shifter was sent out flying out of his nape, screaming, with no arms and legs. Once he was out, Levi stabs the tip of his blade through Zeke's mouth, which rips the underside of his gob.

Levi:"Turning into a Titan puts a heavy strain on your body....So you can't transform again while you're busy healing.  Isn't that right?"

Zeke stared up at both Captains who have defeated him ease and stared at them with glaring eyes. Levi saw this and decided to push the blade even further, making the tip to pop out of side of his mouth and stab his right eye.

Levi:"Hey. Answer me. Don't you have any manners?"

Levi wanted to go further but for a split second, he stops himself.

Levi's thoughts:*I can't kill him. Not yet. *looks at the dead field of soldiers* Isn't there...Anyone still alive? It doesn't matter how injured they are. Just as long as they're still breathing....I can use the shot I got...To turn them into a Titan. Then I can have them eat this guy and steal the power of the Beast Titan. Isn't there...Anyone?"

Fox looked around and gasped sharply when the Cart Titan showed up and lunges towards them. Quickly, Fox get Levi and himself out of the Titan's way. The Cart Titan went to Zeke, grabs him gently using its mouth and runs away. Levi and Fox got up and watched as the Cart Titan carries Zeke away.

Levi's eyes widened and the rage inside slowly began to build up as he watched the murderer of his comrades was getting away.

Levi:"Hey...Where are you going? Stop. I'm not done with you yet.

Fox immediately sped off and chased down the Cart Titan. Zeke groaned in pain and coughed up blood as he was carried away. The remaining Titans that were at his side are still standing still and Zeke saw this as opportunity to slow down the Captain chasing after him and possibly kill him.

Zeke:"ALL OF YOU!! KILL THEM!!"

The Titans looked to the side and all of them head towards Fox. The cyborg stops chasing after Zeke and instead, he focused on eliminating the Titans that were getting in his way. He leaps into the air, lands near to their napes and slashes them before dropping to the ground and rushed towards the incoming Titans.

Zeke:"Oww! Look at what you've done now! *moans in pain* Agh, this hurts. But your weapons must be nearly spent. Once you're gone, I'll have wiped all of you out. It was a pretty close fight, but we win."

Levi watched and his hand gripped tightly on his blade's handle as the Titans approaching him got even closer.

Levi:"Wait...I swore to him...That I'd kill you no matter what. I swore to him!!!"

Levi lets out a loud and powerful war cry as he cuts down the approaching Titans one by one before going on to where Fox is.

At the field of the dead recruits, Floch, who somehow survived, was sitting on the ground, his body shaking and his eyes were staring at his hands. Marlo was dead and so was the rest of his friends. But how on earth wasn't he dead?

Floch:"Why...How...Am I...Still alive..?"

He looked around, stood up and walked around, hoping he would find other survivors.

Floch:"Someone...Hey....Isn't there...Anyone else alive..?

Y/N and Mikasa landed near Armin. The two groaned and Y/N took off his visor. Armin turned around and rushes to them.

Armin:"Mikasa! Y/N!"

Y/N:"Agh...You okay, Mikasa?"

Mikasa:"A bit. A little shrapnel from the thunder spears hit me."

Y/N:"*worried* Blood?!"

Mikasa:"I'm fine. It's not deep. More importantly....*looks at Armin* How's it looking, Armin?"

Armin:"Huh?"

Mikasa:"Do you see anything we can do to fight back?"

Armin gulped and sweat trickled from his face.

Armin:"Nothing."

Y/N and Mikasa, widened their eyes in shock. Y/N was in disbelief at the same time. There was no way they can't defeat him, right? But...What options do they have? What could they do to stop Bertholdt/The Colossal Titan if they have no plan at all?

Y/N looked at his comrades, who were all frustrated and tired. There was no way he was giving up right now. He had to continue to fight and kill the Titans he had promised to kill. Just then, something bursted out of the rubble right next to Bertholdt/The Colossal Titan.

Jean, Mikasa, Y/N and Armin looked to where it is and their eyes widened when Reiner/The Armored Titan emerged from the rubble. Y/N's eye soon glared at him and blinked red as his hand gripped tightly on his blade's handle.

Y/N:"Still getting up even after getting beat down, huh? As expected of you, Reiner. But don't worry. I'll make sure I'll give you a quick death once all of this is over."

Mikasa:"Y/N."

Y/N snaps out of his semi-psychotic trance when Mikasa holds him. Her body was almost shivering, fearing that this could be her last moments of being with Y/N. Y/N felt the same but a part of still wouldn't give up yet. Not when Reiner and Bertholdt are still alive.

Jean:"That rat really did come back to life....What do we have to do to kill him for good? How are we...*grunting* Supposed to take him down?"

Armin looks up and his eyes stared at the Colossal Titan. As he stared, he noticed something about its appearance and his mind was starting to think of something.

Jean:"Hey. Armin? I think our only choice now is to bet everything on getting Eren to safety."

Armin made no reply.

Jean:"*looks at Armin* Are you listening to me, Armin?"

Armin:"He's skinner."

Y/N and Mikasa looks at him after he said that.

Mikasa:"What?"

Armin:"The Colossal Titan. He's gotten...A little skinnier. *looks at Y/N, Mikasa and Jean* It's just like Hange said! The Colossal Titan really is susceptible to a drawn-out battle!! Think back to the experiments with Eren. He could only transform up to three times in a row. Once he reached those limits, his power would begin to taper off. He wasn't able to use any of his abilities effectively. And he could only harden his entire body twice. So if that's the case for a fifteen meter Titan, a sixty-meter Titan should be even less efficient at using its energy. The Colossal Titan used a sustained heat attack when Reiner and Bertholdt revealed themselves, but....He had to consume all the flesh on his body to create that heat. All that was left were his bones. He won't be able to move once he loses his muscle fibers. He'll be nothing more than a giant skeleton."

Y/N smiled and a spark of hope was ignited at that moment.

Jean:"So what?"

Mikasa:"Armin."

Armin:"Mm. I have a plan. Y/N, Mikasa, Jean, you three work to draw Reiner away! Eren and I will defeat the Colossal! *determined* The two of us...Will be able to do it..."

Mikasa:"*smiles* Fine. Leave Reiner to us."

Y/N:"Yeah. Good thinking there, Armin. And good luck to you."

Jean:"Now you figure it out, stupid? You had me convinced that it was all over for us.."

Later, Y/N, Mikasa, Jean and Armin split up and head to perform their respective tasks. Armin zips over to the top of the Wall and lands right on Eren's/The Attack Titan's chest. He walked close to the Titan's throat and drew out his blade.

Eren:"*flashback* I dunno why, but...When I think about getting that freedom back...I can feel it.

Armin's thoughts:*If this plan works...I guess I'll...Never get a chance to see the ocean.*

Armin:"Why is it? When I think about the outside world...I feel courage welling up inside of me."

He raises his blade up and digs deep into the Attack Titan's throat.

Armin:"Eren! Wake up! You're going to see the ocean!"

Inside the Attack Titan's body, Eren slowly opens his eyes, waking up from his unconscious state.
