The mental knife stabbing through your heart seemed to get duller, but that didn't mean the way he treated you didn't still hurt.

The door bell rung and still, you didn't move a muscle. You knew who it was.

Your boyfriend wrapped his hands around your neck tightly and he glared trying to belittle you, which wasn't working on you. "Who is at the door." He asked as if it was a command.

You were losing oxygen, but all you wanted was for your abusive boyfriend to open the door. "Heck if I know."

He grumbled and let go of you as you fainted.
