Violet's POV

I sat down in the car and strapped on my seatbelt. Duncan sat next to me in the drivers seat.

"Ready to go?" He asked. I nodded. He turned on the engine and the radio. We started down the road. "I hate this song..." Duncan muttered. He flicked a few buttons on the radio and played my favourite song. I giggled and started to dance a little in my seat. Duncan smiled at me and looked  into my eyes for a bit.

"Duncan, I... I have been meaning to say this," I started and looked away. "I, I lo-" I was cut off by something knocking the breath out of me and making me hit my head on the front of the car. Knocking out the lights.

Duncan's POV

I was driving Violet to the theatre happily.

"Duncan, I... I have been meaning to say this," Violet stammered, my breath caught in my throat. Could she be..? Confessing? I think she likes me, she's always near me and always wanting to talk to me, I liked it. "I, I lo-" I was about to hopefully hear my crush confess to me when I felt something jolt me from behind and I saw Violet hit her head on the front of the car,

"Violet!" I shrieked, she was unconscious, I was about to help her when I felt a giant pain from my side closest to the door. I was knocked unconscious myself.

LATER NO POV

Duncan groaned and stirred, he was feeling pain all over his right leg and back. He felt comfortably covered though. He opened his eyes to see a very bright and shining light. He squinted and lifted his arm to block the light but regretted it and grabbed his arm, but regretted that for turning over to cradle it due to his back.

"Hello?" He yelled, he was in pain. 

"Hello, I am Beatrice, your nurse, what can I do for you?" Someone asked. Duncan groaned. "Here," The voice said after a bit, Duncan felt his mouth being pryed open and something slipped into it, it tasted disgusting. He immediately spat it out like he was a 5 year old. 

"Uh," He grunted. He frowned and kept his mouth shut. 

"Eat it," The nurse instructed, Duncan kept saying no and tilting his head away. Duncan groaned more from moving his head around and kept it still. "Eat. It." The nurse hissed.

"No!" Duncan growled. He heard the nurse sigh.

"I quit."  He then felt something soft and warm press onto his lips, Duncan stopped everything and he darted his eyebrows up in surprise. He did have to admit it was relaxing, he paused and realised someone was kissing him, after a moment and kissed back happily. He felt the person kissing him smile and slowly pull away. Duncan opened his eyes to see whom the mystery person was, his sight was blurry and he couldn't see, sadly.

"Still dont want those painkillers?" The mystery girl asked. Duncan shook his head and smirked. It was Violet.

"So..." He said with a huge grin on his face.

"Shut up," Violet groaned. Duncan stifled a laugh but stopped becuase it hurt. 

"Ow," He cried, for the thousandth time.

"Oh are you okay?" Violet asked without hesitation. Duncan chuckled.

"You do care," His vision restored and he saw her smiling. She sat on the hospital bed he was on and rubbed his arm.

"How are you feeling?" She asked. Duncan pulled a face in response.

"IM BACK AND I DIDN'T QUIT!" The nurse screamed and Duncan saw it was a lady with curly brown hair and freckles. She held something in her hand. "I have your results," She said and Violet gripped his hand nervously, that made Duncan a little frightened. 'You broke your back," She said bluntly. 

"Can I walk?" Duncan asked.

"Yes,"

"Am I paralysed?"

"No," The nurse looked through the papers on her clipboard, "You have a compression fracture on four of your vertabrae," Duncan realised he was holding his breath and let it out in a sigh of relief. Violet was still shocked.

"Is that all?" She asked.

"No," the nurse replied. "He has a broken arm, leg, finger, foot and a possible shoulder out of place," The nurse walked away.

"Oh my god can we sue her?" Violet said, annoyed. Duncan laughed a bit, Violet glared at him. "Don't laugh! It hurts you!" Duncan nodded.

"Okay but I'm gonna tell Issy and Klaus," he said. Violet got his phone from the table.

"Yours was the only one not smashed," She groaned. Duncan smiled.

dUnCaN: Erm, the car crashed and I broke my back, arm, leg, finger and foot.

KLAUSYBEAR: OMG WTH 😮 

dUnCaN: oh and also my shoulder is out of place... 😉

"Wait what?" Violet grabbed the phone. "God I love your changes and I hate you too Klaus!" She shouted at the phone.
