I first posted this drawing to accompany a post in another book of mine, An Author's Adventure. Since it's one of my drawings, it also belongs here. I figured I could talk about it more, give you a "behind the scenes" look, per se.

I was going for a very simplistic look for this drawing, since it was not meant to be the main focus of the original post. Instead, it was meant to enhance the viewing experience of the writing. To me, it has a relaxing feel; the girl lays in the grass under a sky full of stars without a care in the world. The stars in the actual drawing might be hard to see, but that doesn't change the fact that stars in the real night sky are always breathtaking.
