Person A steps forward, hand outreached. He/she is unsure of what's going on. Person B knows that he's/she's here, but he/she doesn't look over. He/she doesn't even move.

Person B: Stop.

Person A: but I...

Person B: Stop r-right there. D-d-don't come any c-closer. I am a worthless, dysfunctional human being.

Person A: No, don't say that. You are better than that Person B. So much better.

Person B:I said STOP! You d-don't owe m-me anything and there is n-n-no reason you should b-be worrying about m-me.

Person A can see the tears running down Person B's face. He/she is so distraught, so broken. How could person B become this way? He/she has never snapped like this, even when he/she had panic attacks in the past. He/she was always so liberal.

Person B: It's t-too easy to wear a smile these days and no one will n-notice your dying on the inside. I love you Person A. I love you. I love you. I love you. B-but you could never love me back. I am a nothing. I am broken.

Person A: I n-never knew you felt that way towards me. I would have-

Person B: You would have treated me differently. Yah, I doubt it. Throughout the time we've know each other, you haven't noticed me or talked to me once until tonight. You scared me to death and that made me realize that I couldn't give enough. I could love you with all my heart, but never be able to show it without messing it all up. I-I'm so sorry.

Person A: I don't care.

Person B: What?

Person A: I don't care what you say. The only thing that is holding you back is you. I think if we can take it slow that maybe it will all work itself out. And if one day you decide it's all too much then... then I'll leave. You'll never have to speak to me again. Things will go back to how they were.

Person B: Y-you'd throw it all away for me?

Person A: I would do anything for you.

Person A sits on the edge of the bed and looks into the eyes of Person B. They are shining so bright, even with most of the lights off. Person B reaches out and pulls Person A into a passionate kiss. When Person B breaks away for a breath, Person A looks at him/her with wide eyes.

Person A: I thought we were taking it slow!

Person B has the hugest smile on his/her face. His/her mood had totally changed. Suddenly thier eyes become huge.

Person B: Look!

Person B points at the tiny television screen. The final countdown for the ball drop has started. They both smile and count down with the announcer. Once the beautifully colored ball reaches the ground, Person A and B kiss once again, their lips moving in synch. Nothing was keeping them apart anymore.
