Chapter 49

I look to my right to see a bunch of fuzzy brown and white fur sticking out of the covers of the charcoal blanket, knowing exactly who it is I wrap my arms around the adorable thing and cozy up to the pups back while closing my eyes.

I feel him shuffle a bit, trying to capture more warmth from my body. I couldn't help but let a smile break out as we lay there spooning, it would be even better if the other human in the house would join from who knows where but this could do for now. We didn't have to wait long though as I felt shuffling on the other side of the bed then a warm weight on my back and waist was all I felt between the fur and blankets,

This is something I can get used to forever...

"Well good morning sleeping beauty," I hear as my eyes flutter open to be met with a pair of blues.

"Mmm, good morning." I hum out, stretching a bit with a smile on my face.

"Any plans for today sweetheart?" he wonders, pushing my wild hair out of my face.

"Maybe... have anything in mind?" I ask, couldn't help thinking how I ended up facing him when I was cuddling Dodger last night, well this morning as that happened at three something at least that is what I think it said on the alarm clock.

"Well maybe we can head out to the strip, walk around for a bit, see what we find." he recommends."

I nod not really focusing as I was looking for the pup, "Dodge." I mumble, feeling for the fuzz ball on the other side of me.

"He's out back sweetheart," Chris lets me know, letting out a chuckle at my frowning face.

"Whyyy, he was so comfy... my poor son." I mumble, not really making any sense (like I always do in the mornings) as I sit up from bed, running a hand through my chaotic hair.

Chris just shakes his head with a smile, kisses my head, and gets out of bed after me as I walk to the screen door.

"Hi my baby boy." I greet Dodger, kneeling down on the cold cement in just an over sized shirt. I bring him in a big hug as I cuddle with him for a bit.

I stand back up and head towards the swinging sofa that Chris is already sitting on, I plop myself on his lap as I try to keep the cold from bothering me by cozying up to him.

"This is nice," I mumble to him.

"Yeah it is-" he wraps his arms around me, laying his chin on my shoulder as we watch Dodger run around. "-it also wouldn't be so bad if Dodger would have some company out here, chasin' him around. Someone he can look after, to protect." he admits quietly, at first I was thinking that he meant another dog until he mentioned the last part and I felt my cheeks flush.

I just let out a 'hum' and keep watching the pup tire himself out as he zig-zags around the yard, knowing he's watching me.

"Maybe in a couple years?" I whisper, knowing full well I got his attention with that but keeping my gaze on Dodger.

"Yeah?" he whispers back, looking at me for confirmation.

"Yeah." I confirm, smiling at him.

He just gives me the biggest smile I've seen on his face, kissing my forehead and pulling me back into him. We sit like that for a while till all three of us decide to go back inside.

**

"Heyy guys! how have you been?" Jo greets me, pulling me and Chris into a big hug then pulling me inside the house.

It's been a while since we all had got together to just hang out and relax, it was a bit hard since we were all so busy and it was even more harder for a while since Chadwick passed two years in August and that was about the only time we were all actually together again as a whole. It wasn't exactly the kind of reunion we were thinking of.

I mean some of us do hang out or run into each other here and there but we all haven't gotten together for a while to just spend the moment with each other.

It might not be the same with Chadwick gone but we will continue honoring his memory by coming together and being there for each other.

We are greated with everyone all gathered around Scarlett's couch talking, laughing, and drinking. They all individually got up and greeted us with a "Hello" and hugs, they lasted more for me when it came to Rose, Lizzy, Mackie and Seb as I was more closer to them. I just realized that Tom Holland was here too as he was the last one to greet us,

"Ah, you must be the famous Andrea, it's very nice to meet you darling." Tom greeted me, pulling me into a hug.

I hug him in return feeling a bit of fangirl coming out since I have been a fan of Spiderman since the original movies.

"Hey Thomas, it's very nice to meet you too." I tell him, teasing him with his full name.

"Who the hell is Thomas??" Mackie shouts at me from the couch, causing everyone to laugh even Tom who is a blushing mess.

"It's Tommy boy here, that's his full name Choclatino." I respond to Mackie, teasing him.

"Ooh Tommy boy that's a good one," Robert comments, stifling a laugh as Tom shoots him a glare.

I couldn't help but laugh at the men who started goofing around with Tom, poor guy I feel kind of bad now.

"Alright leave the poor lad alone you guys
" I playfully scold the three as I wrap an arm around Tom's shoulder, pulling him into a side hug.

"Oohh, Chris! Tom is touching your girl." Seb tattled, pointing at us from his spot next to Mackie.

I rolled my eyes at how childish he sounded but looked to over Chris to see him move over from his seat next to Hemsworth and Hiddleston next to empty space next to me.

"Oh shut it Stan, you act like we're over here fonduing or something plus I wouldn't have to comfort the poor guy if you guys would just leave him alone. Stitches end up in ditches." I taunt, sticking my tongue out at him. I hear Chris beside me laugh at mine and Seb's childish antics.

"She's not wrong, you guys were bothering the poor kid so she was only trying to cheer him up." Chris responds with a shrug after his laughter dies down.

That causes Mackie and Seb to scoff at Chris and turn away from us in a dramatic effect causing everyone watching to start cracking up.

I pat Tom on the shoulder, letting him know I got his back as Mackie continues to glare at him over his shoulder in a playful way.

"So, how's the wedding planning going kiddo?" Robert speaks from across the coffee table, making everyone quiet down and look my way. I feel my face heat up at that,

"Ooh, um well the man-child here hasn't popped the question yet so I'm not sure when we will start on that..." I trail off as I look from Robert to Jo and Lizzy. I hear a gap then a 'wack' come from my left and see Chris rubbing the side of his head as Scarlett is glaring holes into it.

I try to stifle a laugh at that, only causing Chris to shoot me a glare himself.

"Wait... you're kidding right?" Hiddleston questions looking between Chris and I.

I shake my head no, which cause him and everyone else groan out in annoyance.

"Well what's taking so long man, she's almost done with College... you have what one more year?" Robert pauses, looking at me for confirmation. "-alright see and to be fair bud, you're not exactly getting any younger here." He continues telling Chris, who is looking down at his drink in embarrassment.

"Just leave the poor guy alone DJ, the time will come when he's ready-" I defend Chris, looking at Robert. "-I mean maybe he's scared, or heck maybe he changed his mind!" I joked, well at least tried until I looked towards Chris who looked away from me after I said that.

Oh...

"I see... well then don't worry about it. It's not like you were going to wait forever right?" I tell him, disappointed.

I stand up from the couch, pausing I look down at the promise ring he gave me three years ago, I toss it on his lap feeling the tears gather in my eyes.

"Here-" my voice breaks, "-why don't you just keep it."

I walk away from the stunned group, grabbing my jacket hanging on the door and walk to the car- my car- and driving away. Driving back home.
