Chapter 2

Just as I put my phone back into my pocket, after liking the tweet (obviously). I look up in time to see Hannah walking up to me, giving me a small smile accompanied by a wave as we make eye contact.

Hannah and I have been best friends since elementary. She has Auburn hair, which is not her natural hair color, that reaches mid-back, her face paired with bright green eyes and has freckles spread across her cheeks and nose, that is occupied by a little nose ring on the left side. Which makes us the total opposites, as I have chestnut wavy locks that almost reach my lower back, a set of dark brown eyes and I have no freckles on my face nor piercings in my body except my ears, which have a double piercing in my right and they are occupied by little arrows today.

As she arrives next to me in our "spot" we decide to just stay outside today, we usually tend to go inside if it's raining or really cold. But satisfyingly enough, it's actually pretty warm out this morning. At least for right now, who knows where it will go later on today where it can go from nice and sunny to cloudy and freezing, at least that's California weather for you. Hannah usually tells me the "tea" she has for the morning and talks about other random crap, as we stand there and wait for the final bell to ring so we can go to the first period.

"Oh great," I mumble to myself as I see him,  the one person I really didn't want to see this morning or any morning for that matter.

"What's up?" Hazz asks, as she turns to sees the problem of my oncoming gloominess, which happens to be my ex, aka Justin Flynn. Who is dating my now ex-best friend Megan Kelley, and if you're a teenager who has been in the same scenario, then you probably know how I feel...

I loath her.

I don't normally use the word hate, as it's a strong word but that can't even describe the feelings I have for her as she was the main reason we broke up last year, which involves how I caught him cheating on me and I'm sure you can figure out who he cheated on me with. I know I probably sound stupid as I basically let it happen and I should have known he was cheating on me, especially how they would be hanging out without me and be really affectionate with each other. But to be fair, I'm really an oblivious idiot and they were also good friends with each other before Justin and I started dating.

Thankfully I am saved by the bell before he sees me. Literally.

As the screeching ends, letting us know that we now have seven minutes to get to class. Hannah and I start on our way to the building and begin up the stairs, to my doom.. well the class isn't that bad, and did I forget to mention it was Friday?

*Time skip brought to you by me wanting to not wanting to talk about class*

Finally, it's my favorite period of the day, lunch!! and I know it's not really a period but I just love food.

But anyway, as Hannah and I are walking towards our hang out for lunch, which consists of an empty dark green lunch table sheltered by a neighboring tree. I know what your thinking and no we aren't loners, we did use to sit with people last year but our friend Sam moved to a different school and our other friend Ricky graduated, and well you know what happened with the other two people who we shall not name.

Just as I set my belongings down, my phone goes off letting me know I have a notification that most likely will be from social media since I have no friends.

I'm kidding! Maybe...

When I successfully pull out my phone, it really is no surprise that it's Chris Evans, again. But this time, it's an image of a blurry street sign with a caption, "I think I'm lost...?" along with a laughing emoji. Which in my opinion is freaking adorable.

Of course, leave it to Chris to get himself lost. Actually, I expected Sebastian to get himself lost first but either way, it's kind of ironic as he's well Mr. Captain America.

What interests me the most is that the sign that looks oddly familiar. So I click on the picture to see if it maximizes and get Hannah's attention to see if she can recognize the sign from anywhere.

"Hey, do you by any chance recognize this sign?"

"Let me see-" she takes the phone from my hand to exam it more closely. "-oh ya I know that sign. It's up the one up by the freeway on Base and Euclid" she explained to me as she handed back the phone. When she finished explaining, the only thing that registered in my mind was that Chris Evans is here, in our town, and not even 10 miles from where I'm sitting. I must have been looking spaced because Hannah starts waving her hand in my face, asking if I'm ok.

"I..I don't know, the picture of the sign I showed you. That was from Chris Evans' Twitter and since that's from Base and Euclid, that means he is here..in Upland... He's here, ten miles away from us.."

She looks straight into my eyes like she was trying to see if I was joking or not.

"Let me see your phone." She tells me as she grabs it and opens up my Twitter.

"Holy shit... you weren't kidding."
She looks up at me in a shocked state, similar to my expression before.

"I can't believe Chris Evans somehow got himself lost not only somewhere random but here and he's only like ten to fifteen minutes tops away from here.." I say, well more towards myself than her.

Hazz shook her head, turned my phone back on, which was still currently in her grasp, and looked back over the tweet.

I just sat there like I was star-struck. Well...I pretty much was, I never would have thought there would be a chance I got to meet Chris Evans and now that he is here in my hometown. I just couldn't believe it.

As I was coming back from my shocked state, I noticed Hannah was doing something on my phone.

"Hey, what are you doing?" I asked her while trying to peer over the table. But before I could, she shut off the phone and handed it back to me.

"Oh nothing, I was just looking through his account to see if he posted anything else about where he was."

"Oh... well has he??"

"No, but hopefully he's still around and maybe comes down a little further and we might get to see him."

"That would be really cool, but I doubt it. He probably found his way back to wherever he was originally going to." I told her as I stuffed my phone back into my pocket and started gathering my belongings, as I noticed we had about one minute before the bell rang to go to the last period of the day... well for me.

"Well you never know, maybe today will be your lucky day Drea." She tells me while getting up and starts walking to her class, as the bell rings.

"Hey Andrea, hold on." I hear someone call behind me and honestly, I wish I never turned around.

Nope, not happening, I thought to myself as I turn back around and I can tell he knew I was thinking it too as he grabs ahold of my hand to keep me from walking away.

"What do want Justin?" I ask him as I pull my hand away from his hold.

"Look I just wanted to uh, see how you are doing?" he asks while scratching the back of his neck. His expression showed a mix of awkward and a bit hurt?... probably from pulling my hand away so quickly from his, but he doesn't even feel half of the hurt that I feel. Especially after that night.

"I'm doing fine. Can I go now?" I tell him, a glare forming my face.

"That's good, I just.."

"Justin!"

We both look over and see Megan waving him over with an annoyed expression on her face.

"Looks like your needed so I will just make it easy for both of us and leave," I say to him and turn and walk away.
