after going about her day, mila is currently resting at home from all the traveling for fashion week. she has a face mask on, rehydrating her face as she lays in bed watching whatever was on netflix she thought seems interesting.

trying to enjoy the movie she had put on, her phone would not stop buzzing with notifications, both from instagram as well as imessage. camila rolled around in bed to grab her phone to see what's up. unlocking the screen she saw a bunch of messages from her friends, which she opened first.

mila puts down her phone in disbelief. as she pace around her bedroom she thought about all the different possibilities that might have been. some girl pushed herself onto him, he was drunk and she flirted with him, he cheated, etc.

she finally got away from her mind and stopped it from running around in circles with the possibilities as her phone rang. picking it up, she saw that it was lando who had called her.

hesitant, she answered the call and slowly brought the phone to her ear.

mila sat on her cozy couch in her room, her phone pressed to her ear as she listened to lando's voice on the other end of the line. her heart was heavy with the weight of the internet gossip, the picture that had surfaced, and the confusion surrounding the situation.

"lando, i can't believe what's happening," camila began, her voice tinged with frustration. "the internet is going crazy over that picture of you and that girl kissing. they're saying she's your new girlfriend."

lando's sigh came through the phone, filled with equal frustration. "babe, it's not what it looks like. i promise you, it was all a misunderstanding."

mila's brows furrowed as she tried to make sense of it all. "what happened, lando? can you please explain?"

lando proceeded to recount the events of last night, where the picture had been taken. he explained how he and oscar had been celebrating their podiums in the race that afternoon together and enjoying their night out with the team when the girl in question had approached him. he described how she had forced herself onto him with a surprise kiss, caught in the moment, before he could react or push her away.

the blonde listened intently, her initial frustration giving way to understanding. "so, it was completely unexpected, and you didn't reciprocate the kiss?"

lando's voice carried a hint of relief as he responded, "exactly, darling. i want you to know that i would never willingly do anything to hurt you or betray your trust. you mean the world to me."

camila felt her heart soften as she heard the sincerity in his voice. "i trust you. i know who you are, and i believe you. i can't control what people say or how they interpret things, but i trust you completely."

with that, she got up and went to bed. nana jumped onto her bed to sleep next to her. camila snuggling into the puppy next to her.
