Warning: Spoilers for Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, Danganronpa 3: Goodbye Hopes Peak Academy, Super Danganronpa 2.5: Komaeda Nagito to Sekai no Hakaimono, and Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls!! Read at your own cost!!!!

Nagito Komaeda from Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is one out of the first people that you run into when you are on the island. By first thought, people automatically think that Nagito is a cool and chill guy until the first trial which has you giving off misinterpreting him. Komaeda is the type of guy that will give you a cool feeling at first and then turns into an insane guy. After chapter four though is when everyone goes insane with Komeada. The thing that Komaeda sees and we as the viewers/players don't until Chapter 5 is the Ultimate Despair page. Nagito was able to find out everyone's secret identities, however, he didn't know that the game was just a simulation like how we find out in Chapter 6 once we enter "Hopes Peak Academy" for the first time. 

Komaeda is part of Class 77-b which we later found out in Danganronpa 3: Goodbye Hopes Peak Academy, Despair Side, is the class that Junko Enoshima turned into despair because of the death of their friend Chiaki Nanami. Also, Chapter 5 the chapter that Nagito supposedly sets up a suicide mission in, is also the name of the episode in Danganronpa 3 where Chiaki dies for her friends and last seen looking at Izuru Kamakura knowing that it's Hajime and then dies in front of him. The name of the episode in Danganronpa 3: Despair side is called Smile at Despair in the Name of Hope, which is the same as chapter 5's name resulting in the knowledge that Chiaki Nanami in Danganronpa 2 is going to die. When Komaeda became Ultimate Despair, he watched over the Kotoko Utsugi, Monaca, Masaru Daimon, Jartoro Kemuri, and Nagisa Shingetsu and they call him Servent. Nagito used to have a Family and a pet dog as mentioned which we later found out that his dog and parents have died when Nagito was a child. 

In one of Nagito's free time events, he told Hajime Hinata/Us playing the protagonist that he claims to have Frontotemporal Dementia. Frontotemporal Dementia is a neurodegernerative disease that affects someone's personality and social cognition. Some abilities and talents that Nagito presents is the ability to sense Hope, Despair, and Talent also, he is a very well skilled cleaner. In Super Danganronpa 2.5, Nagito creates his own illusion world while he is in a coma only to be awoken by Hajime Hinata with his normal olive eye and a bloodshot red eye. According to Kazutaka Kodaka, both Nagito Komaeda and Makoto Naegi have their similarities and differences towards each other. 

Nagito as a name means "Calm Below the Dipper" while, Komaeda translates to "Lion-Dog Tree Branches". Another thing is that when the Despair disease went out in Chapter 3, it almost killed Nagito considering that he was extremely ill, to begin with. In a short explanation, Nagito Komaeda is a very mysterious and a type of person to look into with his disease and what his death/chapter was really about and more about him in general.
