The sun had risen and the sound of ruffling in the bushes woke you up. You sat up straight and looked around but you couldn't see much since it was foggy. You tried reaching out for your cicin lamp, you looked around but didn't see Scaramouche. 'What if the Fatui had found you' that was the only thought that immediately crossed your mind. The ruffling got louder and louder, you were in your attack stance, waiting for what's to come. You sent a cicin to attack whatever was in the bush and heard a familiar voice "Ah! Go away you electrified disappointment of a butterfly!" You approached the bush and saw Scaramouche swiping the cicin away with his hands. You felt a wave of relief but anyways sent the other two of your cicin to attack him for scaring you.

"Y/N stop your damn cicin this instant!!" he was now very annoyed, you laughed and called your cicin back to their lamp. "What were you doing?" "Collecting some herbs for... something" You could tell he didn't want to tell you something but you didn't want to annoy him any further. You looked closer at him and saw he had a bag filled with different herbs, many of which belonged to different nations, you were curious about that "So, Scara.. what are all those herbs for?" "They’re medicinal herbs, you never know when they might come in handy" he said as he looked at the herbs then at you

Suddenly an unexpected geo bullet hit your left arm, you fell to the ground and sent your cicin out again. "Y/N!" Scaramouche's eyes grew wide and ran towards you, he crouched next to you and took a look at your injured arm. He looked around and saw in the distance the Geochanter Bracer and an Electrohammer Vanguard running towards the both of you. He quickly took the gnosis from his bag and summoned his catalyst, sparks of electro and a purple mist started appearing around him. In the blink of an eye a huge electro blast hit the 2 Fatui and eliminated them in an instant. The aftershock of the blast hit you with some electro, injuring you further, you tried to process the immense power and what just happened. Scaramouche turned to look at you but you had passed out.

You slowly opened your eyes and processed the light and your surroundings, you tried to get up but felt a sharp pain in your body but more in your injured arm and you layed your body back on the grass. "Stay still, you're injured." You turned your head to where the voice was coming from, it was Scaramouche, he was sitting on a rock that was near. "W-where are we?" You asked in a raspy voice, he simply replied "Windrise." You looked up at the tree leaves and the blue sky. You tried getting up again, you struggled but you did. "Can't you stay still? You're still injured. Lay down." He said with a stern voice.

"No" you firmly replied " "No"? And who are you to deny an order. Know your place." He looked at you with a serious expression and you could feel that if you weren't injured or anything he'd hit you with some electro. You took a deep breath and spoke "Look, Scara, I have a house in Mondstadt. We can stay there till we find somewhere to go. Even I know that staying in an open flat terrain like Mondstadt we'llget easily seen, you saw what happened" You said confidently and all you could hear from him was a low hum as he turned to look at the scenery.

He was considering the idea. Yeah, sure, there was a hotel with a few Fatui present in Mondstadt and anything could easily go bad with the amount of Fatui that were now onto him and the "mysterious cicin mage" with him, you believed it wouldn't be an issue if you remained unnoticed. Scaramouche thought pretty hard for a while and with a defeated sigh he eventually agreed.

As you approached the gates of Mondstadt, you followed the same route you took during your previous visit. Scaramouche did his best to not bring attention to himself, but his large hat and foreign clothes made it practically impossible. You also attracted attention thanks to the scars and the bandages around you. Some familiar faces approached you and asked about the person accompanying you, and what had happened to you. You tried your best to answer a believable lie.

Finally, you arrived at the house and opened the door, you went inside and it wasn't too dusty, thanks to Noelle's monthly cleaning efforts. Scaramouche stood outside for a bit analyzing the small looking two story house. "Well what're you waiting for? Get in, or someone you don't want to be seen by will see you" You said, grabbing his wrist and pulling him in, then closing the door behind you. "C'mon i'll lead you to the guest room" you led him up the staircase made your way to the guest room. As you opened the door, an unexpected knock was heard from the front door, you both stayed silent and stared at eachother,you had a shocked expression but Scaramouche was still composed. You weren't expecting any visitors.. "Get comfy, i'll go get it" you said and cautiously made your way downstairs. You reached the front door and opened it, you were shocked to see who it was. The least person you wanted to see.

Well this is the end of this chapter. It was a bit delayed bc I had like a specific day planned to post but my school started last week and I thought I would have time but didn't. I still somewhat made it tho, yall can expect the next chapter to be in like a week or 2.
