Chapter 1

Perseus Jackson is also known as Percy Had completed his first year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. He found out he was a demigod, a very powerful one too. As the son of Poseidon a big three, his scent attracts too many monsters outside wizard boundaries. When Zeus accused him of stealing his lightning bolt, he was forced into a quest to retrieve the lightning bolt. After fighting the minotaur, Furies, Medusa, dived from St.Louis arch, trapped himself in the Lotus Hotel and Casino, went to the underworld, battled the God of War Ares for the helm of darkness which was also stolen with the help of Grover Underwood a satyr and Annabeth Chase a smart daughter of Athena.
He succeeded and prevented an all-out Godly war (which would've been cool) and rescued his mother who was kidnapped by Hades. But the prophecy wasn't fulfilled, after being betrayed by Luke Castellan a son of Hermes who has 'daddy issues' and started working for the Titan Lord Kronos. He almost killed Percy but two dryads founded him and saved him just in the nick of time.
Right now Percy was back at home in his family mansion in Devon drinking blue butterbeer (he tried cheery coke and he spat it out). He was getting worried for Harry, who was stuck with his muggle relatives. He sent letters and treats for his birthdays but each time he does, Atlan, his owl gryphon comes back annoyed and Harry won't respond. But he was relieved when a few days ago, Ron sent him a letter saying that he Fred and George rescued Harry and a house-elf by the name of Dobby had been intercepting their letters. Percy replied that they will meet at Diagon Alley
"Percy, are you ready?" Sally called from the living room.
"Coming mum!" he shouted back from his room. It was untidy but Minnie their kind house elf( bless her) always cleaned her room. It was a bit large (Thanks to an undetectable extension charm) it was filled with posters and wallpapers of Navy-blue dressed wizards and witches waving enthusiastically. Among them was an autographed poster of Joscelind Wadcock, Percy's favourite chaser and holds the record for the highest number of goals during British season this century (against Ballycastle Bats, 1931). His first-year spellbook that he would no longer need for placed in a cardboard box. A fish tank that was filled with almost twenty-five different species, his owl gryphon Atlan was snoozing in his mini den and his new nimbus 2000 (13th birthday gift) including a Broomstick Servicing Kit.
A few minutes later, he was dressed up in his best blue robes and ran down to the fireplace.
"So floo powder?" Percy asked.
"Yes and please don't repeat that incident again. Dionysus may enjoy it but Chiron didn't"
Percy smiled but nodded. Last time, he transformed into Zeus, floor powdered to camp half-blood and threatened to kill Chiron. It was funny but Chiron didn't like it. Luckily Dionsyus saved him because he managed to charm the wine God to his favour.
"So you only need books?"
"Yep," he said. Apparently, he needs half a dozen new books by a man called Gilderoy Lockhart. His mum looked at the man's name with disdain and disgust.
"Well then. Let's go!"
He took a pinch of glittering powder out of the flowerpot, stepped up tothe fire, and threw the powder into the flames.
With a roar, the fire turned emerald green and rose higher than Percy. He stepped right into it, shouted, "Diagon Alley!" and vanished.
Percy and Sally floo travelled to Diagon alley. They first went to Gringotts to fill up their money pouch and were about to enter the bank when he saw a mane of bushy hair, a giant man and a boy with messy black hair and emerald green eyes.
"Harry, Hagrid, Hermione!" Percy shouted. "Over here."
They walked down towards them. Sally and Hagrid had a brief reunion where Hagrid almost bruised his mother's ribs with a bear hug while Percy caught up with his friends.
"Blimey Harry, you look horrible. Oh hello, Hermione. Are you two coming to Gringotts?"
"As soon as I've found the Weasleys," said Harry.
"Yeh won't have long ter wait," Hagrid said with a grin.
Harry, Percy and Hermione looked around: Sprinting up the crowded streetwere Ron, Fred, George, Percy, and Mr Weasley.
"Harry," Mr Weasley panted. "We hoped you'd only gone one grate toofar. . . ." He mopped his glistening bald patch. "Molly's frantic — she'scoming now —"
Where did you come out?" Ron asked.
"Knockturn Alley," said Hagrid grimly.
"Excellent!" said Fred and George together.
"Sweet," said Percy
"We've never been allowed in," said Ron enviously.
"I should ruddy well think not," growled Hagrid.
Mrs Weasley now came galloping into view, her handbag swingingwildly in one hand, Ginny just clinging onto the other
."Oh, Harry — oh, my dear — you could have been anywhere —"
Gasping for breath, she pulled a large clothes brush out of her bag andbegan sweeping off the soot Hagrid hadn't managed to beat away. Mr.Weasley took Harry's glasses, gave them a tap of his wand, and returnedthem, good as new
"Oh hello, Sally." Mrs Weasley said giving a hug. "Had a good summer."
"Yes Molly," said Sally grinning. "And a very interesting one right Percy."
"Oh yes," he said supporting an identical grin.
"Well, gotta be off," said Hagrid, who was having his hand wrung byMrs Weasley ("Knockturn Alley! If you hadn't found him, Hagrid!")."See yer at Hogwarts!" And he strode away,
"Guess who I saw in Borgin and Burkes?" Harry asked Percy Ron andHermione as they climbed the Gringotts steps. "Malfoy and his father."
"Did Lucius Malfoy buy anything?" said Mr Weasley sharply behindthem.
"No, he was selling —"
"So he's worried," said Mr Weasley with grim satisfaction. "Oh, I'dlove to get Lucius Malfoy for something. . . ."
"You be careful, Arthur," said Mrs Weasley sharply as they were bowedinto the bank by a goblin at the door. "That family's trouble. Don't gobiting off more than you can chew —"
"So you don't think I'm a match for Lucius Malfoy?" said Mr Weasley indignantly, but he was distracted almost at once by the sight of Hermione's parents, who were standing nervously at the counter that ranall along the great marble hall, waiting for Hermione to introduce them.
"But you're Muggles!" said Mr Weasley delightedly. "We must have adrink! What's that you've got there? Oh, you're changing Muggle money.Molly, look!" He pointed excitedly at the ten-pound notes in Mr Granger'shand.
"Meet you back here," Ron said to Hermione as the Weasleys and Harrywere led off to their underground vaults by another Gringotts goblin while Percy and Sally got another one.
The vault looked rather larger and richer to Percy. He felt like the stack of galleons had been quadrupled and the precious minerals have been doubled. He noticed a respective amount of nectar and ambrosia and deduced that his dad was involved.
Back outside on the marble steps, they met up with the Weasleys and Grangers with Sally taking with Mrs Granger while Arthur with Mr Granger about muggle technology. Apparently, Mrs Granger was a muggle healer but for teeth (They're called dentists Percy) so she and Sally got along well.
"We'll all meet at Flourish and Blotts in an hour to buy yourschoolbooks," said Mrs Weasley, setting off with Ginny. "And not onestep down Knockturn Alley!" she shouted at the twins' retreating backs.
Percy joined with his friends and bought four large strawberry-and peanut-butter ice creams, which they slurped happily as they wandered upthe alley, examining the fascinating shop windows. Ron gazed longingly ata full set of Chudley Cannon robes in the windows of Quality QuidditchSupplies until Hermione dragged them off to buy ink and parchment nextdoor. In Gambol and Japes Wizarding Joke Shop, they met Fred, George, and Lee Jordan, who was stocking up on Dr Filibuster's Fabulous WetStart, No-Heat Fireworks, and in a tiny junk shop full of broken wands, lopsided brass scales and old cloaks covered in potion stains they foundPercy Weasley deeply immersed in a small and deeply boring book called PrefectsWho Gained Power.
"A study of Hogwarts prefects and their later careers," Ron read aloudoff the back cover. "That sounds fascinating. . . ."
"Go away," Percy snapped."' Course, he's very ambitious, Percy, he's got it all planned out. . . . Hewants to be Minister of Magic . . ." Ron told Harry, Percy and Hermione in anundertone as they left Percy to it.
An hour later, they headed for Flourish and Blotts. They were by nomeans the only ones making their way to the bookshop. As theyapproached it, they saw to their surprise a large crowd jostling outside thedoors, trying to get in. The reason for this was proclaimed by a large banner stretched across the upper windows:
GILDEROY LOCKHART
will be signing copies of his autobiography
MAGICAL MEtoday
12:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.
"We can actually meet him!" Hermione squealed. "I mean, he's writtenalmost the whole booklist!"
The crowd seemed to be made up mostly of witches around Mrs.Weasley's age. A harassed-looking wizard stood at the door, saying,"Calmly, please, ladies. . . . Don't push, there . . . mind the books, now. . . ."
A long line wound right tothe back of the shop, where Gilderoy Lockhart was signing his books. They each grabbed a copy of The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 2 andsneaked up the line to where the rest of the Weasleys were standing with Sally Jackson, Mr and Mrs Granger.
"Oh, there you are, good," said Mrs Weasley. She sounded breathlessand kept patting her hair. "We'll be able to see him in a minute. . . ."
Sally merely rolled her eyes at her friend.
Gilderoy Lockhart came slowly into view, seated at a table surroundedby large pictures of his own face, all winking and flashing dazzlinglywhite teeth at the crowd. The real Lockhart was wearing robes of forget me-not blue that exactly matched his eyes; his pointed wizard's hat was setat a jaunty angle on his wavy hair.
He then looked up. He saw Percy— and then he saw Harry. He stared. Then he leapt to his feet and positively shouted,
"It can't be Harry Potter?
The crowd parted, whispering excitedly; Lockhart dived forward, seizedHarry's arm, and pulled him to the front. The crowd burst into applause. Percy could only laugh as Harry's face burned from the constant photographs.
"Ladies and gentlemen," he said loudly, waving for quiet. "What an extraordinary moment this is! The perfect moment for me to make a little announcement I've been sitting on for some time!
"When young Harry here stepped into Flourish and Blotts today, he only wanted to buy my autobiography — which I shall be happy to present him now, free of charge —" The crowd applauded again.
"He had no idea," Lockhart continued, giving Harry a little shake that made his glasses slip to the end of his nose,
"that he would shortly be getting much, much more than my book, Magical Me. He and his schoolmates will, in fact, begetting the real magical me. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have great pleasure and pride in announcing that this September, I will be taking up the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts School of witchcraft and Wizardry!" That's when Percy stopped laughing.
"You have these," Harry mumbled to Ginny as he gave her his free books, tipping the books into the cauldron. "I'll buy my own —"
"Bet you loved that, didn't you, Potter?" said a voice Harry had no trouble recognizing. He straightened up and found himself face-to-face with Draco Malfoy,
"Famous Harry Potter," said Malfoy. "Can't even go into a bookshop without making the front page."
"Leave him alone!" said Ginny. It was the first time she had spoken in front of Harry. She was glaring at Malfoy.
"Potter, you've got yourself a girlfriend!" drawled Malfoy.
Ginny went scarlet as Ron and Hermione fought their way over, both clutching stacks of Lockhart's books.
"Oh, it's you," said Ron, looking at Malfoy. "Bet you're surprised to see Harry here, eh?"
"Not as surprised as I am to see you in a shop, Weasley," retorted Malfoy. "I suppose your parents will go hungry for a month to pay for all those."
Ron went as red as Ginny. He dropped his books into the cauldron, too, and started toward Malfoy, but Harry and Percy grabbed the back of his jacket.
"Seriously Malfoy, enough," he said glaring at the boy. After coming back from Camp Halfblood. His physique had changed from his training, becoming fitter, muscular, and lean.
He sneered at Percy. "And its Jackson of course. You know its a very common muggle surname isn't it. At least that's what father says, are you sure you're pureblood Jackson?"
Percy shrugged. "You're right, it is a muggle surname but you know what? Muggles are cool, because they have cars, felyphones. . ."
"Telephones." Hermione corrected.
"Yeah that, but do you have a car Malfoy because we. . ." he indicated himself and the Weasleys "On the other hand own cars. Does your rich pureblood family owns one. I don't think so." he high five Ron grinning.
Malfoy opened his mouth before he was interrupted by his father.
"Well well, Perseus Jackson." Mr Malfoy's voice drew. He was the spitting image of his son. Blond hair, grey eyes and sharp features
"Percy," Sally called out. "Where are you I have to. . ." but she stopped when Sally saw Mr Malfoy.
"Lucius," she said with a neutral tone.
"Hello, Sally." Mr Malfoy said in the same tone. They glared at each other before the silence was broken by Mr Weasley.
"Ron!" said Mr Weasley, struggling over with Fred and George. "Whatare you doing? It's too crowded in here, let's go outside."
"Well, well, well — Arthur Weasley."
"Lucius," said Mr Weasley, nodding coldly.
"Busy time at the Ministry, I hear," said Mr Malfoy. "All those raids . . .I hope they're paying you overtime?"
He reached into Ginny's cauldron and extracted, from amid the glossyLockhart books, a very old, very battered copy of A Beginner's Guide toTransfiguration.
"Obviously not," Mr Malfoy said. "Dear me, what's the use of being a disgrace to the name of wizard if they don't even pay you well for it?"
Mr Weasley flushed darker than either Ron or Ginny.
"We have a very different idea of what disgraces the name of wizard,Malfoy," he said.
"Clearly. Associating with Muggles... and I thought your family could sink no lower. . ."
There was a thud of metal as Ginny's cauldron went flying; Mr Weasleyhad thrown himself at Mr Malfoy, knocking him backwards into abookshelf. Dozens of heavy spellbooks came thundering down on all theirheads; there was a yell of, "Get him, Dad!" from Fred or George; Mrs.Weasley was shrieking, "No, Arthur, no!"; the crowd stampeded backwards, knocking more shelves over; "Gentlemen, please — please!" cried theassistant, and then, louder than all —
"Break it up, there, gents, break it up —"
Hagrid was wading toward them through the sea of books. In an instant, he had pulled Mr Weasley and Mr Malfoy apart. Mr Weasley had a cut lipand Mr Malfoy had been hit in the eye by an Encyclopedia of Toadstools. He was still holding Ginny's old Transfiguration book. He thrust it at her,his eyes glittering with malice.
"Here, girl — take your book — it's the best your father can give you—" Pulling himself out of Hagrid's grip he beckoned to Draco and sweptfrom the shop.
"Yeh should've ignored him, Arthur," said Hagrid, almost lifting Mr.Weasley off his feet as he straightened his robes. "Rotten ter the core, the whole family, everyone knows that — no Malfoy's worth listenin' ter —bad blood, that's what it is — come on now — let's get outta here."
The assistant looked as though he wanted to stop them leaving, but hebarely came up to Hagrid's waist and seemed to think better of it. Theyhurried up the street, the Grangers shaking with fright and Mrs Weasleybeside herself with fury.
"A fine example to set for your children . . . brawling in public . . . whatGilderoy Lockhart must've thought —"
"He was pleased," said Fred. "Didn't you hear him as we were leaving? He was asking that bloke from the Daily Prophet if he'd be able to workthe fight into his report — said it was all publicity —"
But it was a subdued group that headed back to the fireside in the LeakyCauldron, where Harry, the Weasleys, and all their shopping would betravelling back to their homes using Floo powder. They said good-bye to theGrangers, who were leaving the pub for the Muggle street on the otherside; Mr Weasley and Mrs Jackson started to ask them how bus stops worked but stoppedquickly at the look on Mrs Weasley's face.
"See you in a few weeks." Percy said as he got into the fireplace and disappeared.
