"You know, I can see you from here. " Sihye squinted her eyes while pointing at the woman behind the island in her kitchen.

The said woman looked at her innocently with her doe eyes. "Yeah, and? " She asked.

"And duhh, you're smiling like an idiot. " Sihye replied in a most obvious tone while giving her friend the 'look'. She's just sitting across the island and so she can freely see her friend smiling like an idiot.

Minjoo chuckled. "Am I? "

"Yes, barbie. You've been smiling since you arrived in my flat few hours ago. "

"Oh. " And just like that, her smile widened as a memory flashes in her mind.

It's the memory of that night where she had the chance to have a dance with him in this lifetime.

"See? See? See? " Sihye chanted while pointing her fork towards her friend.

Minjoo laughed then shook her head. She stirred the coffee she made and made her way towards the small dining table.

"I just remembered something. " She spoke, sitting on a stool and took a sip on her coffee. Her friend raised her brow at her and that made her smile while shaking her head once again.

"You know the event that the Lee Financial held last week? "

Sihye's eyes widened. She immediately leaned forward while looking excited and expectantly to her friend. "Right! You haven't told me what happened that night! So, did you see my prince charming there? "

"You mean the CEO? "

"YES! "

"Look at you, fangirling over someone- "

"For your information, it's better to fangirl someone who is alive and living in this lifetime than fangirl over a story which happened a long long time ago. "

If it's another time, if Sihye joked about it before, Minjoo would have probably broke down here and there, at this moment. Knowing that the made up story is being glorified by so many people, knowing that those things written in textbooks didn't actually happen, knowing that a beautiful soul was taken away by those cruel people, knowing that they didn't had the ending they deserve, she would probably have an episode at the moment.

But the thing is, it is not like before. Yes there's still pain, the anger, the what ifs and could've beens but the thing is, it didn't faze her just like before. Yes, she still feel those but she already accepted it.

She accepted their destined fate in the past. But the universe won't let them reincarnate in the same timeline and make them meet one another without a reason, right?

Besides, if this is universe's way of making up to them, to their story, then Minjoo will make sure the history will not repeat again.

She smiled, remembering that certain night where they danced under the night sky in this timeline.

"Well, " she started then did a quick sip on her coffee before continuing. "You know the friend I mentioned- "

"You ALWAYS mention? Yeah, what about him? " Sihye interrupted her friend, emphasizing the word 'always' which made the other laugh while shaking her head.

"Fine, always. " She says, admitting that she indeed, always mention that 'friend' of her to Sihye. "So yeah, I saw him at that event. "

"Oh, really? Was it coincident again or on purpose this time? "

It's fate.

Minjoo smiled. "The latter. "

The other's brows narrowed as she gave her friend a rather playful look. "Oh, so you mean you two are expecting to see each other? "

"Yeah? "

"Who is this friend of yours anyway? I wanna meet the future of my bestie. " Sihye says, her brows going up and down in a teasing manner.

The brunette laughed, shaking her head from the way Sihye addressed the man.

"Come on, what is his name? "

She smiled, her eyes glistening as she answered,

"Jungwon. "

Sihye's expression dropped. She rolled her eyes dramatically then sighed. "I asked who's this friend of yours, I'm not asking who's that one character you've been crushing on in that love story. " She replied, referring to that love story from the past.

This time, it was Minjoo who rolled her eyes. She sipped on her coffee. "I did not say I'm referring to him though. The name of my friend is Jungwon, and yeah, they're kind of have similar name."

"Oh..." The other nodded. "So, care to tell what happened that night that made you smiley all day? "

Minjoo rolled her eyes and just like that, she began telling her what happened that night. From her arrival to the venue, from doing her job and seeing him at the terrace where they talked a bit and danced, till he drop her home that night...

The smile on her lips while sharing what happened, the sparks in her eyes while telling the other their moment that night, from how gentle yet the excitement was visible in her voice, everyone who could witness her at the moment could definitely tell she's down. Bad.

Because there's no difference in the way she talk, the way her eyes sparks, the way her lips keeps curving into a smile while talking; there's no difference from the Jiyeon in the past when she's talking about her dearest.

"I see. " Sihye commented after the other shared what happened that certain night.

"You see what? " Minjoo asked, confused. Because she said a lot of things and here comes her friend, replying shortly.

"I see that you're in love. "

It's Jungwon, I've love him even before...

"Girl what the fuck?! " Sihye says, eyes looking at her in shock when she just replied with a smile. "Now, I want to see him. I want to meet him so that I know who I will punch if you cry in the future. "

Minjoo chuckled while shaking her head. She knew her friend, she might sound kidding but she knew Sihye is serious. She is dead serious.

"As if you can? "

Minjoo shrugged her shoulders. "Okay, he is Mister Lee's brother. "

Sihye stared at her friend for a couple of seconds, processing what she just said. Though soon enough, her eyes widened with her mouth, opening.

"Oh my god, Minjoo! Oh my god! Are you saying your friend, the one you were talking about is the chairman of Lee Financial?! "

"Umm yeah, he is— ouch! What the heck Sihye! "

Instead of stopping, Sihye continued slapping her friend's arm across the table.

Minjoo smiled from the compliment. She bowed her friend as she gave her thanks to the head of the department she's in.

"We'll review your work before we publish it in the media. But really, how impressive knowing you did it alone. "

"Thank you, ma'am. " She politely replied, bowing her head as a sign of respect to the woman.

After that, she goes back to her desk and spend the remaining time of her working hours fixing her things.

After fixing everything, she glanced at the time and it's just a few minutes before her out. She sighed and waited patiently for the time to come.

She felt her phone vibrated on the desk. Thinking it might be Sihye, she ignored the message since it's still working hours. But then it vibrated again.

Minjoo stared at the time while tapping her fingers. When the time has come, she immediately took her belongings and went to the wash room to freshen up. She opened her phone only to see two messages from an  unknown number.

She opened the messages.

'Wanna grab some bread rolls? '

'This is Jungwon by the way '

And that didn't fail to make her smile. She could feel her heart beating in an unusual way and she could feel herself being giddy. She's excited.

She's happy.

She bit her lips as she tapped on her screen and replied.

'Of course, I'd love to. '
