Kalea Torn lives an average young adult life, focusing on her job, her friends, and the rest of her future. Even though she was adopted when she was a week old, has a stunning eye color, and birth mark that makes a strip of her hair white, she lives an ordinary life. Everything remains the same until she experiences the ability to read minds. This happens around the same time Paul Minora moves to town and starts at her job. She knows he is connected to these strange events because they share the same eye color and strip of white hair. He knows what's going on with Kalea and finally gives her the answer she wants on her 24th birthday. He tells her she's the heir to the throne of an unknown country called Lenora, and she's needed back there to take down the current ruler. Kalea has to get used to the new status, her new powers, and prepare for a battle.
