Serenity's running as fast as she can go, but no matter how far she gets or how fast she's going, there's no escape from this torment. There doesn't seem to be any place to hide. The ground is dull, barren and flat. The few willow trees somehow look like they're teasing her with their sturdy roots and high stature. She trips on one of the roots and her foot becomes stuck. A raindrop falls on her arm. Why is it grey instead of clear? The demonic screeching from the creature is becoming louder, but it drowns in the heavy rain. She carefully slips her foot out from the roots' grasp. In these rare seconds of stillness, she reminds herself of her only calming light, her brother Edmon. She hugs herself under the decaying willow tree. Why am I here? The only thing she remembers before all this was her brother next to her and something about her mother. Then something terrible happened, but she can't remember what it is specifically.
