Titronia: Collision Course

With his brother as a high ranking officer in the Space Force about to be given control over his own fighter squadron, Colin Desmond cannot wait to follow in his brother's footsteps. He attends the trials and destroys the competition, getting further in the training flight than any of the other tryouts. When the results are stated, everybody knows that the hero of the trials, Colin Desmond is going to go for first place. The audience is shocked to find that the Judge Board had actually made one of Colin's insignificant mistakes seem like a major deal and had used that as grounds to cut his name off of the selected list. It is made clear that a prejudiced judge who wanted his own son to be selected had made the decision. Colin goes home, down in the dumps. His world is in turmoil. All his dreams of being a Commander in the Space Force are shattered. All that Colin wants to do now is to just relax and think things over. But the world is not ready to let such raw talent go to waste. Colin is contacted by the primary fuel providers of planet Earth: Titronia Inc. Titronia Inc. is a corporation that leads teams deep into space to mine into the core of planets and obtain titronium, a miracle fuel that will put a stop to the energy crisis. They were planning on starting a new expedition called Project Recharge. It would provide Earth with sufficient fuel for the next 5 years. That was when they began to look for teams of skilled pilots. And clearly, Colin Desmond was one of them. After personally meeting with the Mining Manger of Titronia Inc. : Charlie Brill, Colin is faced with a decision. Would he accept the mission and fulfill his dream of becoming a pilot and get paid well enough not to work again or will he not take the risk of traveling into deep space and stay at home, safe with his mum? Colin makes a decision that takes him on a thrilling roller coaster ride of a journey. Had it been his destiny to be rejected that day?
