The prospect of turning fifty doesn't send Julia running for the hills or plastic surgery. In fact, getting a facelift, tattoo, motorcycle license or taking up a new, midlife crisis fueled hobby, are the furthest things from her mind. As far as 'living your dream before it's too late' goes, Julia has already hit the jackpot. A retired model that could still strut the runway with the best of them, a husband whose smile, even after 25 years, still gives her tingles, and two kids that have grown into adults any parent would be proud of. Life for Julia doesn't just seem perfect - it is.
Until one rainy day in April, when Julia disappears without warning, trace, or credible explanation, leaving her family reeling with total disbelieve. Nothing about this makes sense!
On the surface, her disappearance seems completely out of character, a snap decision that simply had to be a mistake! Yet, when Julia dragged her suitcases onto the front porch and closed the door on life as she had known it, she simply delivered on a promise she had made to herself thirty years ago. Because some scars in our past just can never be buried enough...
For Julia, all it took was one word to break down the walls she built around her private mountain of guilt, fear, pain, and torment half a lifetime ago. No, she won't let history repeat itself, and no, she is NOT giving in, she's taking charge! But even the most mature plan has moving parts. Only time will tell if her conviction is stronger than her heart - and time is running out.
