Her parent tight reign on her and all aspects of her life, has given her little means of expressing herself, so she uses book and lecture notes as ways to escape her reality. When she realizes the reason for her parent's tough love, she is determined to finally retaliate and escape the short leash her parents hold her by. She is resolute on not letting any distractions hold her back from her freedom. Mitchell Steinberg, at the age of 17, finds himself as the sole heir of his Father's company and all other assets that belong to his family. After a tragic accident 4 years ago that took the lives of his parents and his siblings, he finds himself alone and tormented with guilt. Bitterness and anger overcome his once sweet and even tempered personality, and he has multiple run ins with the law and drugs and alcohol seem to him as his only escape from the torment. When his legal guardian realizes the rabbit hole Mitchell is going down, he threatens Mitchell with the loss of his inheritance if he does not straighten himself out. Augie and Mitchell, two seemingly different characters from different background, find themselves forced to cooperate when they soon realize that they are each others only salvation.
