Bend my Reality

My eyes went wide with shock, and my jaw dropped. Why was he standing there, in my backyard? He shoulders were hunched as he tilted his head to stare at me, his dark orbs leering into mine. I gulped softly and gripped the cell phone in my hand tightly, trying to reassure myself I was awake. That the man I'd been hopelessly obsessed with for years was actually standing there in front of me. His nose scrunched up as he gave a sort of, sarcastic smile and drawled out, "Hiiiii Jennie."My breath hitched in my throat, how did he know my name? And dammit why did I think it sounded so good coming from him? He was a mass murderer, a complete psychopath. And even beyond all that, he was a fictional character! This started my long journey of self-discovery, of finding out who I actually was. He brought out the best demons in me, the worst of my primal side. My constant struggle to be the good girl I had grown up to be, and the jester that Joker was molding me into. To dipping into the darkness that had always been lurking just below the surface. But I loved every blood-curdling, breath stealing moment of it.
