These masks were first introduced in the early 1990s and are designed to protect those who work in polluted environments from breathing in dangerous particles, such as those that are emitted from many sources, including power plants, factories, and oil refineries. They can also prevent those who breathe in such particles from inhaling them as well. Many people have difficulty remembering the names of all of the types of N95 masks that are available, and most people don't realize that each type of N95 mask has its own recommended use in different situations. However, it is important for everyone to become familiar with the different types of N95 masks that are on the market. In doing so, a safe, healthy workplace can be achieved.
