Update
Xavier titles his head and moves closer to my face. A playful smirk playing over his lips as I find myself trapped. "There is nothing to work on." His voice was enriched with careless indifference towards my already meek attempt of objection. "Everything has been decided." He said those words as if it was how it was supposed to be. "Katherine Wright, I like you. I want you. From today onwards, you are mine." His eyes appeared determined as if nothing in the world could make him say otherwise.
A shiver ran down my spine.
I could not decide whether it was fear or something else...
"Xavier..." Subconsciously I whisper his name, not exactly knowing what else to say, I attempt. "This is not how things work."
"Oh," He chuckled darkly, for some reason, finding my words amusing. "You should have learned by now."
"Xavier, don't..."
He smiled. "This is exactly how I make things work."
