Since the 19th century, New York City has been recognized culturally as the hustling and always bustling commercial center of the world. It's the year 1982: Bowie's all the rage, parties last until dawn and crime has spiked exponentially. Mona Moreno, a 22 year old film student at NYU, begins a quest to capture the times for her final thesis. Looking back at the film, she finds strange appearances she didn't catch while filming; spindly creatures, demonic faces and written warnings. Intrigued, Mona pursues her project and discovers a different and perhaps sinister side of New York.Navigating a world of show bizz, racism and a little magic, the reader - along with Mona - will learn a different tale of the city.
