I wrote this because in 10th Grade, World History, my teacher assigned a project that was worth a lot of our grade. I think it may have been our 9 Weeks Test. But the assignment was to write a journal from the point of view of someone who was alive during the black plague (that's what we were learning about at the time). It had to be of 14 consecutive days. They could die, but not until the end. The first journal entry was supposed to get your attention, and had to tell you about the character. We could either hand write or type "our" (I used quotation marks " " because even though I was writing it, it wasn't me, it was the character I had created. I never knew what was going to happen until I wrote it down.) projects. I chose to hand write mine, that way it would have more personality. I have very crappy handwriting. I have doctor's handwriting, which makes sense since I will be a doctor eventually at some point in the future (or present or past, depending on when you read this.). I decided to simply write with a slanted style with lots of straight lines instead of loopy. We had to have a page for each entry. The first page had to explain who they are and where they are/are from and that kind of stuff. I tried to not go over or I would have written more, but I put them in sleeve protectors to keep them nice and wanted them to fit nicely. I chose someone in Poland because it was not hit very badly. I chose the name Armen because I love the name, and chose Nowak because it came up when I looked up Polish last names. I tried to do some research of the area, so please don't be offended if my information is wrong. Sorry this was so long, I wanted you to have some background knowledge, that way it would (hopefully) make more sense.
