Heartbeat of the Forest City is an ongoing Canadian international romance drama primary set in London, Ontario, Canada, aka "The Forest City." Characters:

Dr. Syndee Sharma is a Canadian born cardiovascular surgeon. She uses her witty charm to deal with sticky situations. Her parents are of East Indian descent.

Dr. Ethan Bronson and Dr. Syndee Sharma are lovers. Although the two are very close, it seems that they are inevitably married to their work. He is sometimes misunderstood by others because of his intimidating appearance.

Ginger Brandeau is the hospital administrator. On medication for an undisclosed psychiatric illness, she secretly imagines that she can communicate with her deceased husband. Ginger is a recovered addict.

Retired RCAF Flight Lieutenant Lloyd McCain is a decorated war hero. Despite being nearly 102 years old, he is in remarkably good health, aside from a minor heart condition. Lloyd is one of the few remaining WW2 veterans. He is often mistaken for a man in his mid to late 70s.

Dr. Victoria Brandeau is the sister in law of Ginger Brandeau. Ginger was married to Victoria's brother Alexander, until his untimely death. Victoria is also a black belt in Brazilian Jujitsu.

Security guard Chaz Metzger is a retired correctional officer with a shady past. He is the long experienced head of hospital security.

Roxanne Levesque, a petite French Canadian, is an irresistible nurse. Roxanne is also a recovered addict and regularly attends narcotics anonymous meetings.
