Afterworld

Afterworld is a fantasy novel/world I am in the process of writing/building. It is set across five mystical realms after a cataclysmic event that shattered the world before. After this event, three mortal beings were spared and elevated to godhood. These three beings would shape the new world, the Afterworld, in their vision Their struggles to preserve balance and grasp power ignites this books' tale...

In the realm of Kinsland, the god Sierra has been absent for an age; his realm left to be shaped by the different races that call it home. When a plague of an unknown darkness begins to spread across the Skyscraping Mountain Range, a mountain warrior called Arrownea ("Arrow") discovers a forgotten prophecy that details a method to return Sierra to Kinsland, to safeguard it from this plague, and restore balance and peace amongst the warring races of the realm.

To fulfil this prophecy, a challenger must open the door to the temple at the centre of the realm and claim the Everblade, a sword from a distant realm, said to be made by the hand of a god long dead. Retrieving this blade would bestow upon it's wielder immense power, hence, the keys to the temple have been ravaged by the warring factions of Kinsland, including the mighty Skrill Empire. The Killosaur, an immortal race said to be Sierra's first creation, were the few who sought to return Sierra using the Everblade- but with this mythical race known to be extinct, Arrow takes it upon himself to quest across Kinsland and retrieve the keys and the Everblade to summon the god who may protect his home.
