What are Soft Body Armors?
Since the earliest times of organized warfare, body armor has been a part of soldiers' personal gear. The earliest accounts of armor date to the third millennium BC, although there is evidence of offensive weapons as early as the seventh millennium BC (Hackett, 1989), suggesting that the history of armor is probably just as old. Even though this process of development was almost entirely empirical, the extensive knowledge amassed over thousands of years gave rise to a wide range of extremely effective armor systems. High-strength synthetic materials and other contemporary innovations have built on this to create systems that shield wearers from knives, shell fragments, and projectiles.Hard and soft body armor are the two types of body armor used today. Hard body armor is constructed from ceramic or metal plates. High-performance fabric layers make up the majority of soft body armor. Body armor decreased the rate of fatal penetration chest injuries from 39% in the Vietnam War to 14% in Somalia, according to statistics gathered from a retrospective examination of all combat fatalities suffered by US military forces in Mogadishu, Somalia.

In most portrayals of the apocalypse, we see a protagonist in the midst of a desolate wasteland, be it incredibly dry or inconceivably wet; either a blank ocean, or a flat desert. The real apocalypse, one caused by humanity's foolishness and their ignorance to the true nature of their intoxicating lifestyle, we find something a little different. Millennia have passed since humanity's cataclysmic reset. The world is no longer a desert of scalding temperatures, but quite the opposite; without currents to regulate the climate, the effect of climate change rubber banding back on itself, freezing much of the north and south, places once sought for refuge from the apocalypse. But, like any parasite, humanity lives on. They have adapted to the cold, and now protect themselves with knights and chivalry, in a form of speaking. They speak legends of an ancient piece of technology, one capable of surviving any amount of time under any circumstances, and could give one the power of a god. The knights, however, consider them nothing more than a myth - they never considered what would happen if someone were dedicated enough to realise that the knight went right by the supposed resting place of this item on their way to the city...
