Thousands of years ago , the gods in the Mystic Realm and the demons of the underworld fought in a thousand year war. Millions were killed : Humans , Gods and Demons alike. It was a brutal war. The gods thought this was the end for them until one day , a meteor of light crashed in the country of Gaea. Within it , 12 gems emerged from it , baring incredible power that no one has ever seen before. The gems scattered to various parts of the world to seek out their new owners. They were Bridget of Ireland (Red) , Izanami no Mikoto (white) , Fernir (Blue) , Tsukuyomi (Pink) , Dolos (Black) , Aphrodite (Yellow) , Neit (Crimson) , Anput (Violet), Kratos (Green) , Itus (Bronze) , Kagutsuchi (gold) , and finally Hachiman (silver). With these gems , they became a group of elite warriors that people know today as "Power Rangers." In the final days of the war , the team seals away the Demonic King , Maō , into the Seal of Hell. With the war at an end , the gods and goddess went their separate ways. Thousands of years later , Maō has broke out from his seal , wanting to take out his vengeance at Earth. One of the gems that belonged to Bridget is now used by a young woman named Anastasia Harada. Along with Callie Harada , Isaiah Black , Ginchiyo Harada , Ajax , Kayla Takashima , Harry Annabelle , Vivian , Dex , Eli , and Tetsuo and Kouga Hattori , these 12 people are known as the next defenders of both the Mystic Realm and Earth! Power Rangers Gemstrike!There is a triggering scene in chapter 4.

(Comments are most welcome as this is a first draft) This is a first draft of a fantasy novel based on the real-life story of a Sicilian-American witch who asked me to tell her story in a fictionalized format. I've taken considerable liberty, with her permission, with the causes and effects of her life as a Massachusetts witch from a long line of witches. In the first chapter you meet our hero at her birth. Clearly, as a baby for most of this novel, her thinking, actions, and so on will be of small consequence to the plot or story line. She operates primarily as a central catalyst for all the other characters, human, heavenly, and otherwise. I honestly don't know what is going to happen as I write this book. I have the journals and diaries of my friend. How that plays out for the characters is anyone's guess at this point. I have no outline other than the journals and diaries. I have no character studies, no background. I am doing a lot of research on Strega, heavenly hierarchy, Sicilian-American life in the 1950's through 1980's in the Boston area, and on the neighborhood I am fictionalizing. My witch knowledge is coming directly from Wiccan priestesses and the person whose life I am reinventing.Our little witch is psychic, intuitive, can hear but not clearly see spirits, and has little understanding of what is different about her from other children.Her mother and aunt are also psychic/magic, as is her great aunt and grandmother to varying degrees and awareness. Her mother is also bi-polar, but in the mid to late 1950's does not mean the same thing as it does now. There was little to no understanding of these things at that time, much less treatment. Music and rhythms are going to be found as a theme throughout the novel. This is a trait of me as an author and also an important factor in our little witch's life.
