A short story on the oldest love story of India, which is well known as Swapnavasadattam.The sacrifice made by Vasavadatta for the betterment of the kingdom is difficult for any female. Whatever the Destiny is, the true love cannot be seperated. From the seperation of this couple to the reunion is just a mesmerizing tale with roller coaster of emotions.The great playwright Bhasa pictured this great epic in such a way that we feel we are feeling the point of view of all characters.The sacrifice of Vasavadatta, loyal nature of Yaugandharayana, the sorrow of Udayana and the nobility of Padmavati together makes this story a masterpiece. Inspired by the works of Bhasa, Gunadya and Somadatta, I wish to portray a short story of Vasavadatta.I am not sure how perfectly I can justify the characters of this great play but yet I try my level best.
