Ryan used to have a stable life, a life in Detroit, Michigan with a gang, girls, and a completely regular family. His father is the leader of the gang, the Modry gang. His older brother Matt is the next to take it on, but that all changes when Ryan gets the biggest beating of his life. Their mom and dad gets arrested, then both of the boy's lives change completely. The boys have to stay with someone else, Tucker and Collie Lowe,and their single mother. Everything is different now, Matt is stressed, Collie is in danger, Tucker is absolutely terrified, and Ryan doesn't know what he's supposed to do. Join Ryan on this journey of life as a sixteen year old boy who doesn't exactly fit in with the rest of them.- TWs -Mentions of drugs, alcoholism, s3x, self harm/su1cidal topics, and other things.-- Authors notes --I wrote Borderline September in the 8th grade after breaking up with my manipulative boyfriend, he would never let me write or draw or even talk about male characters I truly enjoyed. I made each character carefully with a touch of love in all of them, I really enjoyed writing this book and writing each individual character as their own person. My personal favorite to write is Scotty Madra, my favorite part to write in the story is when Ryan and Scotty were out on the porch. Scotty is a self-insert of myself into their universe, I've drawn him hundreds of times and don't regret a thing. His personality and *natural* looks are based on mine entirely, and some things are the opposite, such as him being the younger sibling. I enjoyed writing this book and putting my and other's lives into these books, Ryan was truly a fun character to write and I hope you'll believe the same.ch. 1 published 3/5/24
