Death Trap
Summer has arrived, school's out and eleven-year-old Tess Wilson of Halifax, Nova Scotia, is restless and hungry for an adventure. Uninspired by the activities and interests of her peers, she'd like nothing more than to sink her teeth into the kind of mystery that recently placed her in the crosshairs of helping to solve two gruesome murders. But the horizon for another such escape looks bleak. Meanwhile, Tess's mother, Alice, finds herself on tenterhooks as she's forced to remain on the sidelines while bunking at Izzy's and caring for Tess's younger brother, Charlie, and the family dog, Riley. From here, she meets a host of colorful characters who help stir the pot by revealing key ingredients that heighten her sense of urgency to intervene. But are her fears valid or is she merely reacting to Tess's rich imagination for mystery? The only thing for certain is that as mother and daughter separately chase down clues their joint obsession to uncover the truth remains steady. There are too many red flags to ignore and the stakes are high. Something's got to give before it's too late!
